Leverkusen ready to offload six players in the summer
Bayer Leverkusen are ready to offload six players in the summer transfer window, according to Sport Bild.
The German publication claims that Aleix Garcia, Victor Boniface, Jonas Hofmann, Matej Kovar, Arthur and Odilon Kossounou are all free to leave.
Garcia has struggled to hold down a starting berth since his €18 million move from Girona last summer and has repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with his playing time.
Boniface, who almost left Leverkusen for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in January, has been involved in several disciplinary cases this season and has slipped behind Patrik Schick in the pecking order.
The report also claims that Schick doesn't want to stay at the club if Boniface stays, which is an extra incentive for Leverkusen to get rid of the Nigerian striker.
Jonas Hofmann has struggled for game time this season, while Matej Kovar hasn't been able to convince that he should be the club's first-choice goalkeeper in the long term.
Arthur has mostly been used as a substitute, and the arrival of Nordi Mukiele on loan from Paris Saint-Germain has further limited his opportunities.
Odilon Kossounou is currently on loan at Atalanta, who could make the move permanent.
The report also states that Die Werkself are ready to sell Florian Wirtz if he decides to turn down a contract extension beyond 2027.
Jeremie Frimpong has been heavily linked with a move away from Leverkusen, with the club powerless if his €40 million release clause is met.
Edmond Tapsoba also has a release clause, but it's set at €100 million.
Nordi Mukiele, Mario Hermoso and Emiliano Buendia are on loan at Leverkusen until the end of the season.
Hermoso and Buendia look set to return to AS Roma and Aston Villa respectively, while Die Werkself could potentially make Mukiele's loan move from Paris Saint-Germain permanent.

Jamal Musiala injured again for Bayern Munich at Club World Cup
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Star German midfielder Jamal Musiala went off injured only 25 minutes after entering Friday night's Club World Cup match for Bayern Munich and was substituted by national team veteran Thomas Müller in the 82nd minute. Musiala came on in the 57th minute against Boca Juniors. The nature of his injury wasn't immediately known. The 22 year-old had been recovering from a torn hamstring during the Bundesliga season. Musiala had not played since April and returned to Bayern training on May 7. Bayern and German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann decided not to name him to the squad during the UEFA Nations League semifinals in late May. ___

Bayern Munich advances in the Club World Cup with 2-1 win over Boca Juniors
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Michael Olise fired Bayern Munich into the knockout stages of the Club World Cup, scoring in the 84th minute for a 2-1 win over Boca Juniors on Friday night. German champion Bayern made it two wins in Group C and advanced to the round of 16 with a game to spare. Olise secured the victory at Hard Rock Stadium after Miguel Merentiel had put Boca in position for a draw with a brilliant solo goal in the 66th. Bayern, which tops the group, took the lead on Harry Kane's clinical finish in the 18th and went on to miss of a slew of chances before Merentiel's equalizer. South American teams had been unbeaten in their first nine games of this expanded Club World Cup. Bayern looked like it would be held until Olise's cool finish. Collecting Kane's layoff inside the box, the forward curled a powerful first-time effort low into the bottom corner. Bayern has the luxury of resting players for its final group game against second-place Benfica on Tuesday, which could be bad news for Boca. Argentine giant Boca, which plays Auckland City, needs Bayern to beat Benfica to have any chance of advancing to the next round. 'We knew it wasn't going to be easy, we knew we were coming into a hostile environment, hot weather, it was tough. It's a massive tournament. We are playing against the best teams in the world. We just have to compete to our highest level and we should be able to beat most teams.' — Kane. 'We have to find a way (to advance). A draw would've been great but it's up to us to compete and do our best and I would not be surprised if that happened.' — Boca Juniors coach Miguel Angel Russo. ___
