SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a missing 79-year-old man.
Springfield Police SVU arrest man in connection with rape and kidnapping
Victor Vazquez was last seen leaving his home on Tuesday afternoon near Nagle Street. Vazquez is approximately 5'8'' tall and weighs 160 pounds.
He was last seen wearing black pants, a Nike sweater, and a Yankees hat. Vazquez might need his medication and is known to frequent the Worthington Street area.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The Springfield Police Department is asking for help identifying two people whom officials accused of retail theft. The theft happened Tuesday at the Ulta Beauty on South Veterans Parkway. Officials did not go into detail about the crime or the value of stolen merchandise, but they did release images of the suspects. One is a Black male who was wearing a navy-blue jacket, a white t-shirt and a blue baseball cap. The other is a Black, dark-haired woman who was wearing a red or orange top and floral-patterned pants. GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two men were arrested in Greenfield during street-level enforcement operations conducted by members of the Northwestern District Attorney's Anti-Crime Task Force. In a news release sent to 22News from the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, detectives from state police and Greenfield police with the Northwestern District Attorney's Anti-Crime Task Force made two drug and weapons-related arrests. Holyoke man charged with attempted murder and multiple gun offenses This past Wednesday, officers conducted a traffic stop on Bernardston Road in Greenfield at approximately 10:30 p.m. Ashfield resident, 34-year-old Christopher Gonyea, was arrested and charged with the following: Possession of a Class A substance (Heroin/Fentanyl) Possession of a Class B substance (cocaine) Possession of a Class E substance A traffic stop was conducted on Wells Street in Greenfield on June 3 at around 8:30 p.m. An officer observed drug paraphernalia in a car and, following an investigation, loaded handgun equipped with a high-capacity magazine as well as additional ammunition and approximately 79 grams of cocaine.
