28 Years Later star opens up on working with Cillian Murphy

28 Years Later star Aaron Taylor Johnson has shared his experience working with Irish icon Cillian Murphy.
The new flick, which is a story set in the world created by 28 Days Later, hits cinemas this week, with Academy Award winner Danny Boyle bringing original cast member Cillian back as an executive producer.

Speaking to the Strawberry Alarm clock on FM104, Aaron said: 'He's the sweetest. He is a wonderful man…we are so grateful to be part of this franchise.
'As an audience who enjoys these movies, I think we are all excited to see Cillian Murphy make an appearance at some point.'
Set almost three decades after the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, the new installment in the franchise follows a group of survivors who inhabit a small island connected to the mainland by a single causeway. A synopsis for the film reads: 'When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors.'
The film also stars Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes and Alfie Williams.
Director Danny Boyle has also set the record straight and confirmed that Cillian will be in the 28 Years trilogy… in the second and third films. 'Well, it's three films, a trilogy of films which have connecting characters,' Danny told IGN, explaining that 12-year-old Spike will be the main character of the new story. 'He will run right way through the films. We've shot the first two back-to-back, and that was for logistical reasons, actor availability reasons, and for story reasons as well. They're literally continuous.'
28 Years Later will be three films, with 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple slated for a release next January, with Danny confirming that Cillian will be in the second film, and will be standing by for the third should they get funding.
'There's a coda… it's not a coda, it's the epilogue or an end theme at the end of the first film [28 Years Later] that gives you a handover to the second film,' Danny explained. 'Although each story completes itself, there's a handover section to the next film as well. So it's very ambitious.
'We haven't got the money for the third one yet. It will depend on how the first one does, I guess. But hopefully, if we do ok, they'll give us the go-ahead for the money and for the third one. Everybody's standing by for that, really. Including Cillian.
'[Cillian] is in the second one… I shouldn't give away too much, I'll get killed!'

Conor McGregor Ibiza punch eyewitnesses detail what they saw in nightclub

Eyewitnesses have recalled the events that unfolded after footage emerged appearing to show Conor McGregor throwing punches inside an Ibiza nightclub. In the early hours of Tuesday, at Pacha nightclub, The Sun released footage that allegedly showed McGregor appearing to peer down to address an unidentified man in the middle of the dancefloor. Merely moments later, the 36-year-old Irishman appears to throw two punches. The partygoer hit the deck, and onlookers have since come forward to recount their version of the alleged incident. One individual - who saw the whole thing - claimed there did not appear to be any consequences for the former dual-weight UFC champion. "Clearly something's been said to annoy him and he's reacted very badly. The guy seemed to fall to the floor, and his mates came to pick him up and get him away," he told The Sun. "There [didn't appear to be any] consequences for Conor." Another said: "About five people fell to the floor as the guy stumbled back. It was a bit like bowling pins, but the guy was really shaken." They added: "About a minute later, the bouncers came and got him on the back and took him out of the club, because he had annoyed Conor. It was right before close anyway. There was no messing around; they just removed him. Conor left through the garden a bit later; he didn't look very happy." The confrontation occurred just hours after McGregor was spotted on the island with TV personality Katie Price. The UFC star was wearing red shorts, a cap, and sunglasses, and puffing on a cigar. Price shared a photo of the two on her Instagram, captioning it: "You legend," after McGregor tagged her in his own story and wrote: "Forever." Tottenham defender and Austria international Kevin Danso also posted a picture with the former dual-weight UFC champion. Following the alleged incident, McGregor posted a series of updates on social media. On X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: "You won't speak bad about my country and its people and that's ever. Vote McGregor." A few hours later, he shared several photos of himself on Instagram, including one with a group of men and another of himself underneath a photo of Al Pacino from the 1983 film Scarface. It is not the first time McGregor has lost his temper whilst partying in Ibiza. Three years ago, he stamped on a fan's hat after a fan threw it towards him asked for him to sign it while he was celebrating his 34th birthday. McGregor gave the individual a sarcastic thumbs up before throwing insults at the fan. McGregor hasn't stepped into the Octagon since his defeat to long-standing adversary Dustin Poirier back in 2021. He was due to make his UFC comeback last year against Michael Chandler, but had to pull out due to an injury sustained during training. Whether or not the Irish fighter will return to competitive action remains uncertain. However, he has dropped hints of a potential comeback by posting several training videos over recent weeks.

One wrote: " "Helena is like a doormat Love Island." A second posted: "Helena is a weak babe, she needs to bump Harry." "Helena needs to move on and have some self respect," a third said. Another added: "Helena is such a door mat and Harry knows that, he's a massive player but she's clinging on to him." There were more fireworks earlier in the game when it was revealed Yasmin said she'd like Harry to "tip her upside down". Elsewhere, Conor read out a comment from Dejon that ruffled Meg's feathers. Dejon previously told the boys about Yasmin: "She's never orgasmed, so if I give her her first orgasm, then she'll fall in love." After Conor read out the comment, Yasmin said to the group: "I mean, if you can make me orgasm, fair play. I probably will fall in love." Things go from bad to worse when Remell read out a remark that Harry made to the boys about wanting to kiss Yasmin. Helena yelled: "What the f*** is going on here?" Megan exclaimed: "He tells you f*** all and that's why, you need to find out and hear it for yourself." THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit. Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland's first 'shopping frenzy'. During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne's 'Better Value' bargains. Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 - starting with apples and oranges. The retailer said: "Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town. "Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong. "Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas." The retailer's first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960. They added: "In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed. "Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England." Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
