Jessie J shares sweet video of her son Sky, two, visiting her in hospital as she begins treatment for her breast cancer

Jessie J shared a sweet video of her son Sky visiting her in hospital as she began treatment for her breast cancer on Monday. The singer, 37, who revealed her diagnosis this month, took to her Instagram to say he was 'the best visitor' as she doted on him. Mother-of-one Jessie shares her little one with her partner Chanan Safir Colman who she met in 2021. As she spoke to him while he sat on her side of the bed she chuckled and said: 'What are you doing? Are you eating? What are you eating?' Smiling back he said: 'Egg!', before Jessie then asked: 'Is it nice!?' She also shared another clip from the hospital as she watched back her recent performance at the Summertime Ball. Last weekend Jessie chocked back tears and vowed she would 'beat' breast cancer on stage at Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium. The singer thanked the 75,000 strong crowd for their support as she opened up about her illness. Jessie said: 'Today, this show is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer!'. As the audience cheered she continued: 'So it's so special to me you have no idea. I feel so special to be from the UK, to be an honest person and say how you feel. 'This is my last show before go treatment and all the things It's the most special thing and I'm so grateful for this life, for you guys, for my career, to my, my son. My partner, my parents'. 'My family, my band, my crew. We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do'. It came as Jessie, who assured fans her condition had been 'caught early', revealed she had suffered her 'worst day so far' amid her cancer battle as she broke down in tears and struggled through panic attacks. In a lengthy Instagram Stories post, she wrote: 'Honestly, had my worst day so far yesterday since my diagnosis and the busiest three months I have had in years. Work. Toddler. Cancer. life etc had my mind [drained]. Jessie, who shares two-year-old son Sky with partner Chanan Colman, continued: 'Panic attacks/ tears. big fears/ anger/ overwhelm bad. And you know what helped?'. 'I ate a corn on the cob. Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instead mood shift'. 'Tomorrow is a new day. The [rollercoaster] of cancer is [draining]. I won't be just talking about the highlights. And making jokes all the time. That isn't real life. Goodnight'. Returning to social media, The Price Tag hitmaker penned: 'IMO. It's [key] to acknowledge fear anger sadness panic overwhelm and let it come up and come out. holding it in won't make it go away. In any challenging situation in life'. 'So when I posted what I did yesterday about my current challenge in life, also while making light of the situation. 'That was one day in 10 weeks that I just lost it and was completely drowned in all the negative and bed feelings any cancer journey can bring. Which is healthy and needed. She went on: 'So I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic, I will feel all of it for a minute or even a full day. And then eat a [corn] or listen to a song that lifts me up or laugh with a friend on Face Time. And then go and be a mum, and go to work and show up and be what I feel 90% of the time'. 'Strong, fearless, healthy, and make some jokes about it all because that's my way. But i will not ignore the 10% that is fear and sadness'. Jessie appeared to drop a hint about her cancer diagnosis weeks ago during a performance in London. But the announcement appears all the more poignant now given what Jessie is reported to have told fans while performing at Union Chapel on May 20. According to The Mirror, the star told her fans at the show she was putting herself first and wanted to have fun. She said: 'I know we are all going through our own battles in life, we are all struggling in our own way. We talk about it sometimes, and sometimes we don't. 'I'm grateful I have the voice and the strength to be able to put those experiences into songs that people can take and make them their own soundtrack to help them get through a tough time, a good time, a scary time.'

Inside Dermot Murnaghan's life away from news desk after devastating diagnosis

Sky News anchor, Dermot Murnaghan, took to social media on Monday to confirm the sad news that he has been diagnosed with stage four advanced prostate cancer Dermot Murnaghan is one of the UK's most respected newsreaders, anchoring shows for both the BBC and Sky in his impressive career. However, sadly, the father-of-four, who shares children, Kitty, Molly, Alice and Jack, with his wife Maria, has today announced he's been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer as well wishes from his colleagues and fans pour in. Dermot, 67, who insisted he was "responding positively" to treatment and "feeling well" is one of the most recognisable faces on TV. However, away from the news desk, he's lead an incredibly busy life, including a successful stint on quiz show Eggheads, a surprising appearance on University Challenge - and a love of cycling, which unfortunately ended up in a hit and run... ‌ READ MORE: Dermot Murnaghan's health woes in full from pitbull horror to cancer diagnosis ‌ Involved in a hit and run Back in 2017, Dermot took a brief leave of absence from his Sky News show after being involved in a hit-and-run. He was knocked off his bike while cycling in Kentish Town in Northwest London, which left him grazed and bruised, but thankfully, okay. Taking to Twitter, now X, with a photo of his bloodied face, Dermot wrote: "Here's why I haven't been on air for two days. A hit and run in Kentish Town yesterday. Police were fantastic.". The veteran broadcaster, who is a keen cyclist, received a ton of well wishes from his famous friends, who told the star they were thinking of him. Former colleague and political editor, Tom Boadle, replied: "Good gritty look that. Hope it heals nice and quick!" Meanwhile, Sky's Anna Jones, said: "Ouch! Hope you heal quickly, Dermot." Surprise appearance on University Challenge Stepping away from the news desk, the seasoned journalist popped up on University Challenge in 2016 alongside a handful of University of Sussex alumni. The star-studded series included a host of famous faces such as Jonathan Ross' brother, Paul Ross, actress Rachael Stirling and comedian, Dom Joly. Sadly, Sussex, featuring Dermot, comedian Hattie Hayridge, principle of Edinburgh University Sir Timothy O'Shea, and barrister Alex Bailin, were rinsed when they lost 245 to 35 against Kent University. ‌ Eggheads icon Dermot was also part of another iconic quiz show, but fared much better when he returned to his presenting roots when he when hosted Eggheads on BBC Two from 2003 to 2014. He delivered each question on the much-loved quiz show with a subtle smirk and his notorious catchphrase: "You're playing for something money can't buy - the Eggheads' reputation," which earned him a legion of loyal fans, who loved tuning into the show each evening. True crime star Dermot has delivered a whole host of crime stories as a newsreader. However, in 2020, he decided to take a closer look at the UK's murky underworld in his documentary series Killer Britain with Dermot Murnaghan. ‌ The series fascinated viewers with stories of rage, jealousy, obsession, deception and more as Dermot has unpacked some of the country's biggest murder investigations. The show, which sees Dermot delving into some of Britain's most chilling murder cases, has run for four series on Sky, with a fifth starting in May 2025. Arsenal fan When he's not reading the news to the nation, Dermot cheers on his beloved Arsenal football team. The proud Gooner wed his wife, Maria, in Camden, and still lives in North London close to the Emirates Stadium. Speaking previously to The Standard about the place he calls home, he said: "We originally lived in Islington, but moved a little further north for more space and leafiness as the family grew — a classic north London migration. I had to stay within proximity of Arsenal, and I'm still walking distance from the Emirates."

Simon hasn't had the best luck when it comes to using bikes and has previously suffered a serious injury after taking a tumble from one just a few years ago. The Sun told how in 2020 he was almost left paralysed and was left needing surgery after hurting his back in a shocking accident. He crashed off his electric bike and broke his back in three places before undergoing six hours of surgery. He missed injuring his spinal cord by a centimetre. A source said at the time: 'He could have been looking at a life in a wheelchair.' Simon Cowell fell and broke his back after trying out a powerful new electric bike — and accidentally pulling a wheelie. His son Eric, then aged six, and his partner Lauren Silverman's teenage lad Adam watched in horror as Simon fell backwards and smashed down onto a concrete floor at his Los Angeles home.
