McCowan reacts to Lyall Cameron's impending Rangers transfer
The duo played together for several years at Dens Park before McCowan moved to Parkhead last summer.
Cameron is set to join Rangers at the end of this summer after his contract with Dundee expires.

He made a significant impact last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions.
McCowan jokingly suggested that they would cease communication following Cameron's decision to join the Ibrox side.
He said: "I spoke to him when Dundee came to Celtic Park, maybe just after he'd done it.
"I said, 'Just to let you know, this will be the last time I speak to you!'.
"No, listen, Lyall is a good player.
"He's done well.
"If that's the move he's going to go and get it's a credit to himself because he's put a lot of hard work in."
Cameron was instrumental in securing Dundee's top-flight status, scoring twice on the final day of the Scottish Premiership season.
His excitement about his impending move to Rangers was evident in his post-match comments.
He said: "It's an unknown but it's a challenge and I'm really looking forward to going somewhere different and challenging myself at a higher level.
"I accept that I'm going from one of the smaller teams in the country to the biggest, so it's not going to be easy and I'm going to have to work hard for my spot in the team."

The report also states that a potential swoop for Valencia's Spain U21 star Cristhian Mosquera has also cooled until a new man in the hot seat is in place. They claim that Mosquera has gone as far as giving Leizpig a verbal agreement that he wants to move to Germany but won't officially put pen to paper until he knows just who he will be playing under. Both players were instrumental in helping the the Leith side finish third in the Scottish Premiership last term. Centre-back Bushiri has been with Hibs since January 2022, but the 25-year-old is currently out of contract and weighing up his future. "Rocky's season was prolonged by going away on international duty, so he's been away doing that," Gray told the Press Association. "A couple of weeks off for him, a lot of positive talks in the meantime, and he's someone who did incredibly well for Hibs last season. "Naturally, there will be interest in him from elsewhere, but as I said, there have been real positive talks on that one. It's certainly something we're trying to do and working towards." Australian midfielder Triantis was one of four nominees for the Scottish Football Writers' Player of the Year award after excelling during his season-long loan from Sunderland, where he is contracted until 2027. "His parent club obviously got promoted to the Premier League, so there are conversations going on there about what's next for Nectar," Gray added. "Clearly, he's someone who was really, really good for us last year and someone you'd like to bring back.

With the Gers stars due back for pre-season on Monday, Martin hopes to get the deal concluded quickly for him to travel north and join his side as they build up to the new season. Aarons made over 200 appearances for Martin's former club Norwich and was a youth player in their system during his time there. Their pursuit of Israeli striker Dor Turgeman has apparently hit 'a major snag', with complications surrounding the current geopolitical landscape there.
