White Sox hosting auditions for national anthem singer for August game. Here's how to enter.
It's time to warm up those pipes, White Sox fans and aspiring vocalists.
The team is hosting auditions for singers to perform the national anthem at Rate Field on Aug.11.
Auditioners must submit a video online on the White Sox website to enter.
Submissions must be no longer than two minutes and include an intro, including name, age, and hometown, as well as an explanation of why you want to perform the anthem.
The team asks that all audio be clean and free of background noise. Auditioners can also show some team pride with some White Sox gear.
The finalists will do live auditions at Rate Field on July 24.
The winner will be chosen from a panel of judges, including CBS News Chicago's Jori Parys.

Eagles' Jordan Davis hosting free football clinic with Philly-area violence prevention org
A Philadelphia nonprofit is partnering with an Eagles player to offer more than football drills. It's creating a safe space for young boys to develop character, confidence and a sense of community. Open Door Abuse Awareness and Prevention, founded by coach Valencia "Coach V" Peterson, is hosting a free football clinic on Saturday, June 21, at Mastery Charter from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to all 10-year-old boys across Philadelphia. "By age 12, their mindset is already changing," Peterson said. "By 14, they could be caught up in violence. We want to reach them before that happens, before intervention becomes the only option." Between drills, athletes will learn how to process emotions, de-escalate conflict and support each other — on and off the field. "In between drills, we teach a principle about violence prevention. Then we get them right back into the game," Peterson said. "It sticks." Joining the clinic is Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis, who hopes to show young boys the power of discipline and teamwork. "I could talk all day about the way that football has helped me in my life, personally, and I feel like it's my duty to give that to someone else," Davis said. "When your mind is the clearest, it's on the football field." Coach V says the field is where boys learn to be men, and brothers. "I've seen the change in boys over my 10 years in this work," Peterson said. "Football is just the tool. We're building something bigger." Select teams will also receive a $3,000 grant to support local neighborhood sports.

Yeah, that was probably then." Just from that short statement alone, it's clear how much Williams dislikes Green Bay. He has taken over the rivalry exactly how Chicago fans wanted him to. During his rookie season, Williams played solid football. He threw for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions, completing 62.5 percent of his pass attempts. They want to get back into the playoffs and start contending in the NFC North division again. Williams will be looking to improve his record against the Packers. The rivalry lives on and it could get even more contested this season with Chicago's improvements. Green Bay fans are going to have something to say to Williams when he comes back to Lambeau Field. After these comments, it would be a safe bet that Williams will not receive a warm welcome when he plays the Packers in Green Bay next. If The Punisher In ‘Spider-Man' Rumor Was True, Is Savage Hulk Next?
The Punisher/Hulk Back in 2019, it seemed up in the air whether we'd ever see Jon Bernthal's Punisher again, given the cancellation of all Netflix series and the absence of his character going forward. Now, he's everywhere. It's now been confirmed that Bernthal's Punisher will be coming to, of all places, the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth film in the series. It's the unusual blending of the most brutal, R-rated antihero in the MCU with one of its most family-friendly offerings in Spider-Man, raising questions about what's going on here. Yes, the two have paired up many times in the comics, but this is certainly the highest-profile instance of that ever now. There's one aspect of this that's also a bit eyebrow-raising. The rumors that The Punisher was joining Spider-Man in his film is an old one, going all the way back to January. But now in late May, insider Jeff Sneider and John Rocha discussed the report again, saying that trustworthy sources said that the plan was for The Punisher was to join forces with Spider-Man to fight against The Hulk. Spider-Man Yes, The Hulk, former Avenger, and with the last time we saw him being the 'smart' version training his cousin She-Hulk in the ways of Hulkdom, also revealing that he had a son out of nowhere, and his mini-plotline seemed to be leading to some sort of upcoming comic-based Planet Hulk/World War Hulk storyline that never materialized. This is, of course, not that. We have no idea what would have transformed chill Banner Hulk into some sort of monstrous Savage Hulk, another version. This is also in the wake of Captain America: Brave New World having Red Hulk as its antagonist (a film that almost felt like a Hulk sequel that did not contain Hulk). So, if the Punisher part of the rumor is true, the question is whether or not the rest of it is, and Hulk really may be the big bad in Spider-Man 4. The news also comes with the confirmation that Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are reportedly back as MJ and Ned in some capacity, despite the ending, which hinted the series was moving on from them. The other high-profile casting is Stranger Things' Sadie Sink in an unknown role that most guess is either 'real' MJ, Mary Jane, or perhaps Gwen Stacy. Bernthal went from nowhere in the MCU to one of its most prolific stars. He will be in both seasons of Daredevil: Born Again, he's starring in his own 'special' on Disney Plus later. Now he's in Spider-Man. Tom Holland and Bernthal have a long history. They helped each other audition for their respective roles way back then, and currently, they're starring in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey together. Now, this is going to be one hell of a team-up.
