Erdogan blasts Israel's brutality, warns of Zionist influence and calls for regional defense
ALBAWABA- In a fiery address in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared that Israel's actions have 'surpassed Hitler's brutality,' accusing the 'Zionist entity' of being a pampered tool of the West, operating without respect for international law or the basic human principles.
Erdoğan warned that global Zionism has infiltrated nations across the region, embedding agents in political, military, security, intelligence, and economic institutions.
He urged regional governments to take immediate action to cleanse their systems of foreign-backed traitors before it's too late, citing Türkiye's own past experiences confronting and purging such internal threats.
Eğer bağımsızlık istiyorsan, eğer özgürlük istiyorsan, eğer bu topraklar üzerinde şerefinle, namusunla, izzetinle yaşamak istiyorsan, eğer ekonomik refah istiyorsan, eğer bolluk, bereket, dirlik istiyorsan, eğer huzur istiyorsan cenge her zaman hazır olacaksın. pic.twitter.com/JJaIZmtd6w — Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (@RTErdogan) June 18, 2025
'Türkiye has dealt with betrayal before,' Erdoğan said, 'and we cleaned our institutions. Others must do the same.'
He strongly defended Iran's right to self-defense amid the current Israeli-Iranian conflict, denouncing Israeli aggression and Western complicity. 'We are facing a state with no principles, no rules, and no regard for law,' he said.
On national security, Erdoğan asserted that Türkiye now entirely relies on its own defense systems and is advancing toward full deterrence capability. 'Soon, just the thought of attacking Türkiye will terrify them,' he declared. 'If you want peace, prepare for war.'
Erdoğan also criticized former allies who once sided with Israel and labeled Hamas as terrorists. Without naming names, he said they now lack the moral standing to question Türkiye's position.
'This is not a grocery store,' he concluded. 'We govern one of the greatest nations on Earth, the Republic of Türkiye, and we act not with cheap rhetoric, but with the responsibility and foresight of a state rooted in centuries of wisdom.'

Iran targets key Microsoft research building
ALBAWABA - Israeli and foreign news sources say that an Iranian rocket hit the city of Be'er Sheva in the south of the country early Friday morning. The attack caused a big fire near a building that houses Microsoft offices, damaged a lot of property, and hurt several people. A lot of parked cars were destroyed by the rocket hit, and nearby buildings were seriously damaged. Videos going around on social media show cars on fire, pieces of debris, and a clear hole near the crash site. People have said that the attack was probably done by a solid-fuel rocket that got past Israel's air defenses. After the attack, air raid alarms went off all over southern Israel. The Iranian missile launch was confirmed by the Israeli military, which said that its air defense systems tried to stop the danger. A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, "Iran's missile launches toward Israel were picked up just now." Our air defense systems are already working. People must go into safe places right away and stay there until they are told otherwise. The Israeli Home Front Command looked at the situation and then let people leave secured areas, but they still told them to follow official instructions. Rescue and search teams were sent to the impact site to look at the damage and help anyone who might have been hurt. Trump delays war decision with Iran, leaves diplomatic door open
ALBAWABA- In a notable shift, U.S. President Donald Trump announced he will decide within two weeks whether to launch a military intervention against Iran, citing a "strong likelihood" of negotiations soon. Trump emphasized that any decision will weigh three conditions: necessity, avoiding a prolonged Middle East war, and ensuring the strike would eliminate Iran's nuclear program. 'A lot of space has been made for diplomacy,' said a White House spokeswoman, offering a glimmer of hope for de-escalation as European and Iranian officials prepare to meet tomorrow. 🚨 @PressSec shares an important message from President Donald J. Trump: "Based on the fact that there's a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks." — The White House (@WhiteHouse) June 19, 2025 Trump's latest announcement of a two-week window to decide on war with Iran starkly contradicts his fiery remarks just two days earlier, when he demanded Iran's unconditional surrender within 24 hours and threatened to target Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei personally. Despite the diplomatic tone, tensions remain sky-high. The White House confirmed that Iran could produce a nuclear weapon within weeks if it chooses to. The spokeswoman also praised Israel's military strikes for degrading Iran's infrastructure and leadership. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to the impact of war on his own family, revealing that his son Avner had to cancel his wedding for the second time due to missile threats, and called his wife 'a heroine' for standing by him through years of turmoil. The conflict is widening beyond the battlefield. Iran has declared that Israeli media outlets are now legitimate military targets, warning that Channel 14, described as Netanyahu's 'propaganda arm,' will face missile strikes in the coming days. Israel's Broadcasting Authority confirmed that a forceful response is being prepared following Iran's unprecedented missile attack on the Soroka military hospital.
