The footage shows the honeymooners depositing their bags in a hotel before going towards Double Decker Bridge on May 21. Both of them are in raincoats.
The couple is seen arriving at 12:42pm on the same two-wheeler that was later found abandoned. Sonam is in a white T-shirt and black trousers under a black-and-pink raincoat. A white shirt was found next to Raja's body and a similar raincoat a few days later in the vicinity though neither has been confirmed to be hers.
Raja is seen requesting the manager to allow them to leave their luggage at the hotel while they go to visit Double-Decker Bridge. Sonam puts her raincoat in the boot of the two-wheeler. They transfer a few clothes from their suitcases into a carry bagand head off. They look cheerful and carefree.
At 12:45pm, a red hatchback arrives and stops at a short distance. Two minutes later, two men step out of the car and enter the hotel.
One of them is seen making entries on the computer, while the other makes a phone call. At 12:56 the couple leave on their two wheeler.
Sonam's family members don't think the raincoat found by police is hers. "It's 3XL and it is not clear if she was wearing the same raincoat," said Govind, who has been camping in Shillong.
Police are examining the footage but the two families feel Meghalaya cops aren't doing enough to find Sonam or trace Raja's killers.

Govind said: "We were the ones who found this viral CCTV footage. If a common man can do this, why can't police?" He had earlier said that Meghalaya police should "stop looking for a body". "My sister was abducted. We fear she has been trafficked to Bangladesh," he had told TOI.
Meghalaya officials say police, SDERF and NDRF teams, have been braving treacherous terrain and harsh weather in their search for Sonam. "Police don't take us to witness the search operation.
I am going on my own. They are just completing formalities in the name of searching. For the past three days, they have been searching just 50 metres on either side of a 10km road," he said.
"If the body were to be found on a road like that, wouldn't it have come to light in 16 days? Even a five-year-old can understand that. Sohra police are just killing time so that our patience breaks, we leave, and the news stops coming in the media," Govind told TOI.
According to local media reports in Meghalaya, a guide in Sohra has told police that he saw Raja and Sonam with three men before the couple went missing. They were talking in Hindi and seemed friendly, the reports said.

Bengal: FIR against Sukanta over ‘derogatory' remark on Kolkata police

AN FIR has been filed against BJP state president and Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar for allegedly making derogatory remarks comparing the Kolkata Police's law and order situation to sex workers in Sonagachi, a red-light area in the city. The FIR was registered at Burtolla police station following a complaint lodged by a sex worker at Sonagachi, a police officer said. The allegation stems from an incident on Friday when Majumdar was detained by the police in Bhabanipur. During an argument, he purportedly said, 'You (police) have turned the law into a sex worker in Sonagachi!' The ruling Trinamool Congress condemned the comment as 'indecent and disrespectful,' with State Minister Shashi Panja demanding that Majumdar issue an apology. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh also criticised Majumdar, saying, 'Sukanta made that comment because he doesn't understand the struggle of sex workers.' Majumdar, however, defended his words as targeting police performance, not individuals, and accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of stoking the controversy to 'divert attention' from her own allies' 'misconduct'. 'The women of Sonagachi also have respect. There are principles,' he said. Majumdar accused CM Banerjee of orchestrating the controversy to hinder him and to deflect attention from (TMC leader) 'Anubrata Mondal's wrongdoings.' In protest, Sonagachi sex workers and their children plan to demonstrate on Monday. In a statement, the women said, 'The sex workers of Sonagachi, along with their children, are scheduled to hold a protest gathering on Monday. Sonagachi is not a symbol of disorder. It is not fair or acceptable for any public leader to speak about us in such a negative way.' Sweety Kumari reports from West Bengal for The Indian Express. Garderner's home inside Bengaluru's Palace Grounds burgled

Bengaluru: Miscreants broke into the home of a gardener inside Palace Grounds Saturday afternoon and made away with Rs 65,000 cash, gold, and silver valuables — all within a span of just 20 minutes. The victim, Shrinivas, works as a gardener and lives with his family in a house provided to them near the Kamadhenu Gate inside Palace Grounds. According to his complaint, Shrinivas and his wife, who is employed as a domestic help, had left for work on Saturday morning. Their elder daughter, a degree student, left the house around 1pm for an exam, locking the door. Around 1.20pm, her younger sister, a PUC student, returned home to find the door ajar. She immediately informed her father, who rushed back only to discover the almirah had been broken open and valuables missing. The stolen items included Rs 65,000 in cash, a traditional gold earring, and several silver articles. Shrinivas, who made sure no one touched the crime scene, alerted the police. Upon inspection, the police collected evidence, after which the family discovered that more silver items had been taken. Shrinivas told TOI: "The miscreants stole the valuables from my house within 20 minutes. I took a hand loan of Rs 35,000 and Rs 30,000 was our savings in the box. I have three daughters and the money was meant for their education." Investigations revealed there were no CCTV cameras near the residence or at Kamadhenu Gate entrance. Authorities are now reviewing footage from CCTV cameras installed near Cauvery Theatre to track movements in the vicinity. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 305 (theft in a dwelling house or similar premises) and 331 (punishment for house-trespass or housebreaking). The investigation is ongoing.
