Maine Celtics coach Tyler Lashbrook is expected to move to a new role within the Celtics organization for next season according to a new report from Michael Scotto of Hoopshype.
Lashbrook joined the Celtics organization before the 2023-24 season as a player development coach before being named Maine Celtics coach before last season. He has also spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers during his coaching career before joining Boston.

Scotto reported last week that the Celtics are expected to name former NBA point guard Phil Pressey as the new coach of the Maine Celtics later this summer with Lashbrook moving to a new role.
Pressey has been a player enhancement coach in Boston for two years following the conclusion of his pro career. He played for two seasons in Boston under team president of basketball operations Brad Stevens at the start of his NBA career.
Lashbrook led the Maine Celtics to a 21-13 record in G-League play last year with several pro contributors spending time in Maine including Baylor Scheierman, JD Davison and Boston's two-way players. Maine advanced to the Conference Finals in the G-League playoffs before falling to the Osceola Magic on the road.

Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics Linked After Recent Kevin Durant Trade Report

Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics Linked After Recent Kevin Durant Trade Report originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Phoenix Suns have yet to strike a Kevin Durant trade, though that deal could come any day now. Advertisement The 15-time All-Star was nearly moved by the franchise at the most recent trade deadline, which all but confirmed an eventual divorce between the two sides. Durant's preferred destinations are the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat -- though the Suns have made it clear they are making the best decision for the franchise. With this, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors remain options for Durant to be traded to. There could be another dark horse suitor, too. Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum ruptured his Achilles, which will lead to the 2024 champions playing next season without their superstar forward. Advertisement A fire sale could ensue in Boston, as they look to offload high-salaried players like Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis and even Derrick White. According to Zach Lowe, the Celtics have discussed landing the two-time champion from the Suns, re-routing Holiday to a new destination. "I've heard that there have been discussions of 3-team Durant related trades where Jrue Holiday moves somewhere," Lowe reports. The Suns have already been disappointed with the trade packages from Durant's top three trade options. Facilitating a trade with the Celtics to benefit both sides -- while moving the 15-time All-Star -- could make sense for Phoenix. Advertisement While the Celtics may have had internal -- or even external -- conversations about landing Durant, the Suns need to be interested. With Devin Booker still in The Valley, Phoenix will be sure to make a move in their best interest, meaning the Celtics will have to outbid other suitors. Torrey Craig gives an update on Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum's Achilles rehab

Star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has been keeping a low profile since he went down with a torn Achilles tendon against the New York Knicks in the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals. And given the anguish that injury created for the St. Louis native, we can hardly blame him. But Tatum has been, by all accounts, hard at work rehabbing that ankle so he can get back on the court as soon as possible and better than ever. Veteran teammate Torrey Craig has been in Auerbach Center this summer as well, and has seen the Duke alum grinding. "He loves the game so much and basketball means so much to him," said Craig in a recent interview with CLNS Media's Noa Dalzell and Bobby Manning. "He puts so much hard work into it, and dedication and sacrifice, and all of the above. For something like this to happen at that moment, in the playoffs, it's just gut-blowing." Who are the best fits for the Boston Celtics in the 2025 NBA draft?

Who are the best fits for the Boston Celtics in the 2025 NBA draft? The Celtics will likely need to add depth to their backcourt and big man rotations if cost-cutting trades are made by the front office to address a potentially historic tax bill. And with Boston controlling the Nos. 28 and 32 picks overall in the first and second rounds overall, respectively, the Celtics have a good shot of finding help at those spots in the draft, but which prospects are the best fit for the team moving forward? The cohost of the CLNS Media "Garden Report" podcast, Bobby Manning, took some time to sit down with "NBA Big Board" podcast host and draft expert Rafael Barlow to talk through which players in a range Boston could get to that would be the best fit for the team's needs and culture. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about who they think the Celtics ought to draft.
