The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) staged a large-scale combat readiness exercise, 'Falcon Eye 3', on Wednesday, drawing the participation of various military units and senior commanders.
Held under the patronage of His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, the drill aimed to test operational efficiency, coordination under pressure, and the execution of command protocols in live scenarios.
Strategic evaluation
The exercise featured briefings, simulations and on-ground manoeuvres designed to mirror battlefield conditions.
Orders were issued by officers to different combat groups, with live assessments made by senior leadership throughout the session.
Speaking after the event, H.E. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed praised the overall performance, describing the implementation as a reflection of advanced planning and disciplined execution.
He said the exercise achieved its intended objectives through coordinated efforts among the participating units.
Leadership direction
He further credited the exercise's scale and ambition to the direction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister.
Both leaders, he said, have underscored the need for modern training programmes to maintain combat readiness across all BDF units.
Focus on preparedness
The Commander-in-Chief noted that the evolving nature of regional and global threats demands an equally adaptive military response.
He added that Bahrain's current training doctrine is rooted in realism, interoperability, and high-level coordination.
A number of senior BDF officers attended the drill, which is part of Bahrain's broader strategy to maintain a highly responsive and professional armed force.
