The Green Bay Packers are also looking forward to a season where they'll improve upon last year's version. That featured a Wild Card Playoffs loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The NFC and NFC North should be super competitive again. Jordan Love will have a brand new rookie receiver in Matthew Golden, along with talented offensive threats like Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Josh Jacobs.

A new Madden NFL 26 beta version dropped this week, allowing select individuals to test out the game. Leaks have seemingly surfaced, with some showing off the overall ratings for all of the league's teams.
One video shared on X displays the Green Bay Packers as the first team and shows that they'll carry an 81 overall rating. That's tied with their division rivals, the Chicago Bears.
Their other NFC North foes have higher ratings. The Minnesota Vikings check in with an 83, while the Detroit Lions carry an 88 in the game's beta version.
While many fans on X griped about the team ratings revealed in this beta leak, there weren't any complaints about the Packers yet. Some complained about the Eagles' rating seeming low, or the Buffalo Bills having a lower ranking the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

Several X commenters also mentioned some intriguing points about these leaked overalls in the video.
"They literally said the deep dive all the ratings are randomly generated," one X commenter said.
Another wrote on X, "They aren't finalized they never are don't take this into account."
That 81 may or may not be what Green Bay's rating is when the game drops. According to GamesRadar, the team had the same rating when Madden NFL 25 came out last year. It could also improve as the new season progresses.
Madden NFL 26 releases on August 14 with additional details from the game forthcoming. As of this writing, player ratings have yet to arrive, so fans should have another debate when they see how Packers players compare with others in the league.

NFL Star Lamar Jackson Sends 5-Word Message to Jayson Tatum
NFL Star Lamar Jackson Sends 5-Word Message to Jayson Tatum originally appeared on Athlon Sports. A little over one month ago, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum suffered an Achilles injury near the end of the team's Game 4 loss to the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs. While his timeline is still not fully clear, the expectation is that the Duke alum will miss all of next season. Advertisement As one of the top stars in the NBA, Tatum's injury is tough for the league and for the Celtics. However, the 27-year-old is seemingly still keeping his head eye in the midst of support from some of the greatest athletes in the world today. This includes Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who recently sent a message to the Celtics star. Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (0).© Bob DeChiara-Imagn Images While recovering from an Achilles injury is never easy, there are reasons to believe Tatum will be able to bounce back, especially given his age. This is the hope for not just the Celtics organization or the city of Boston, but also for the Ravens star as well, who sent a five-word message to Tatum: 'Wishing you 100% recovery Champ!' With their star player likely out for next season, in addition to the likely roster turnover they will have this summer as they look to gain financial flexibility, the Celtics will be in a strange spot next year. After being legitimate title favorites over the last few seasons, they will most likely not be as dominant next season and may have a re-tooling year. Advertisement Hopefully for the Celtics, Tatum can come back from his injury and return to his pre-injury form. Until then, however, Boston will have to make do without their star player and look to shock the basketball world in 2026. Phillies Announced They Moved Aaron Nola to 60-Day Injured List Amid Roster Move
Phillies Announced They Moved Aaron Nola to 60-Day Injured List Amid Roster Move originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Philadelphia Phillies lost starting pitcher Aaron Nola for a significant amount of time already, and there is reasonable concern after he suffered a new setback in his ribs. He initially was expected to be back soon, but his issue has prolonged his return to the mount. Advertisement According to a new announcement made by the Phillies on Twitter/X, Nola was dealt even more bad news. They called up Buddy Kennedy and sent down Weston Wilson, meaning the team needed a new 40-man roster spot. To make that spot open, the Phillies put Nola on the 60-day injured list. This decision from the Phillies organization points towards Nola not returning to the club for a while. His timeline originally had him ready to go before the All-Star break. But, a prior setback pushed it passed the All-Star break, and this now could make his absence even longer. Nola could now be out into August, something that cold affect the team's plans at the trade deadline. Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola (27) throws a pitch during the first inning against the St. Louis Cardinals at Citizens Bank Streicher-Imagn Images While the Phillies have plenty of starting pitchers in the organization, the decision made on Nola is a tough blow for the Phillies. Losing more than half a season of Nola in the rotation will sting, even though he struggled so far this season. Advertisement Nola was 1-7 with a 6.16 ERA before he was placed on the injured list. He started on the 10-day injured list before being transferred to the 15-day injured list. But, after this new announcement, he's now on the 60-day injured list. His progression in recovering from what was initially a foot issue went well, but the rib issue was a huge setback in his return to the mound. It reset his recovery timeline, and provided a different level of pain for Nola to deal with. After this update from the Phillies, the wait is expected to be even longer for Nola's return. In the meantime, Mick Abel and potentially, Andrew Painter, will take over in his absence. Jesús Luzardo Discusses Playing 'Real Baseball' With Phillies
Jesús Luzardo Discusses Playing 'Real Baseball' With Phillies originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As with most arms in the Philadelphia Phillies' rotation, Jesús Luzardo is having a mostly successful 2025 campaign. Advertisement Since being acquired from the Miami Marlins for two prospects, Luzardo has struck out 97 batters in 83.2 innings. He had carried a 2.15 ERA through May 25th before two starts of his went sideways fast. Aside from those hiccups, he's been a valuable addition to the club - and Luzardo isn't taking the change for granted. "I didn't know what to expect coming into a team with such high expectations," Luzardo said during an interview on The Phillies Show. "It's blown me away how welcoming everyone is. How the guys who are 'Superstars' are just really down to earth guys... It's been awesome to be a part of it." Jesús Luzardo started the year off so strong that he was a dark horse Cy Young candidate. While the two blowouts dismissed that, he is still putting together a good Streicher-Imagn Images Originally from Peru, Luzardo went to high school between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, just north of Miami. So while the trade took him much farther from home - albeit with the benefit of traveling back twice a year in divisional series - he's embraced the new culture in Philly. Advertisement "Playing in Miami - it was home for me, so that was great," Luzardo said. "But at the same time, when you're not pitching in front of 40,000 (fans) like you are here every night... That's something you don't really see all the time and it's some of the most fun I've had playing baseball since I was in high school." "This is real baseball. Not a knock on anywhere else that I've been, but you could feel the atmosphere, the home field advantage, the buzz around the city. Going into a game, you just see the streets flooded with Phillies gear. The stadium's packed with everyone walking in. It's a good time." With the season approaching its halfway point, Luzardo is tasked with helping a suddenly short-staffed group of starters maintain a playoff position. And unlike in 2023, when the Marlins had shut him down for Tommy John surgery by the time they made it to the Wild Card, he looks to stay healthy and contribute into the Phils' latest October push.
