MC Alger clinched top spot with a 0-0 draw against NC Magra.
However, during the euphoria, tragedy struck.
A large group surged forward to celebrate in the packed-out Stade du 5 Juillet [5 July Stadium].
But dozens fell from the upper stands of the 64,200-capacity ground.
Local reports also suggested a security barrier collapsed in the upper tier, meaning the jubilant supporters fell down to the stands below.
More than 70 people have been treated in hospitals - but three sadly passed away, the health ministry confirmed.
The Algerian Ministry of Health said: "The Beni Messous University Hospital received 38 injured people, while three deaths were recorded.
"Ben Aknoun Hospital also received 27 injured people, while Bab El Oued Hospital received 16."
News agency Reuters reported that several MC Alger players and staff went to the hospitals to donate blood for the injured.
The trophy presentation was postponed as a result of the desperately sad and worrying scenes.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent his condolences and best wishes to those affected.

Former world No3 Sakkari, 29, came through a tight encounter, winning 7-5 7-6. But there was none of the usual respect and warmth at the handshake at the net following match point. They did clasp hands but there was clearly some underlying tension. The Greek ace made a comment as her defeated opponent walked towards the umpire. And that led to a spectacular bust-up, with Kazakhstani Putintseva sarcastically curtsying for the winner. But her rival's comment lit the fuse for Sakkari who confronted Putintseva again and told her: "Nobody likes you." World No27 Putintseva then picked up her racquet bag and towels before bowing in front of Sakkari as the feud escalated. Quizzed about the drama in her on-court interview, Sakkari joked: "I don't think she's going to invite me for dinner for the rest of our lives. "But I don't care to be honest. Legendary referee Bray believes the weight of expectation left the pair frozen. He said: 'With the two Lukes they looked like rabbits in headlights. They just couldn't get their game going at all. 'They were under a lot of pressure I think because of the hype, and you know world number one and two. I know dart players are. 'It's very much different being an individual and going out on your own than it is playing as a team. You've got a different mindset.' CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS Bray also reckons the lethal Lukes rhythm was disrupted by the stop-start nature of doubles play. He explained: 'The two Lukes are also very much rhythm players. They're out of rhythm because they are not following the next player. While others tipped the Three Lions for the title, Bray saw it differently He revealed: 'If I'm being honest, I didn't expect the Irish boys to win it [Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney] — but I also didn't expect England to either. 'I thought Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton would be the ones to win it — alongside Scotland, would you believe, who got absolutely blasted out of sight.' Gerwyn Price was quick to claim that England's failure was down to Littler and Humphries not playing as a team. He said: 'I think you need a connection. I think you need to have that camaraderie off the stage. 'When all the teams first turned up on the first day, the only two players who didn't turn up together, didn't sit together, didn't play as a team. 'I'm not saying who they are. But they didn't win their first game. But you need to turn up together. You need to be as a team. "You practice together, you sit together, it's a team ethic. It didn't show with England and it showed on the board. 'They are great players individually. But you need to be a team. 'I wanted them to do well but they didn't. I'm not just saying that, but they were rubbish!' Meanwhile two-time world champion Dennis Priestley, 74, slammed world the pair for "letting their country down" after the early exit. 4 Gerwyn Price claimed Littler and Humprhies didn't act as a team during the tournament Credit: Getty

Three football fans dead and over 80 injured in horror stadium disaster after title win

The awful incident happened at the end of a match between MC Alger and NC Magra at the Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers, Algeria. Three football fans have tragically died and over 80 have been left injured after a horror stadium disaster. The awful incident happened at the end of a match between MC Alger and NC Magra at the Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers, Algeria, on Saturday. ‌ The stadium holds around 64,200 people and the tragic event unfolded after MC Alger were confirmed as league title winners as a result of a 0-0 draw, prompting jubilant celebrations. ‌ However, as reported by the Mirror, a picture of joy became a scene of horror when a security barrier gave way, sending several supporters from the top tier of the stadium tumbling. The Algerian Ministry of Health released grave figures in their statement, which said: "The Beni Messous University Hospital received 38 injured people, while three deaths were recorded. Ben Aknoun Hospital also received 27 injured people, while Bab El Oued Hospital received 16." As tributes poured in, MC Alger's players and staff offered to donate blood to the hospitals for those affected by the incident. The club is grieving, having confirmed the identity of one tragic casualty. In a message relayed by officials at the club, they said: "It is with great sadness and sorrow and with hearts that we received the news of our supporter Younes Amguzzi, who passed away after falling from the upper stands. "The board of directors, all members of management, all the team and players, come forward with sincere condolences and the most sincere condolences to all the family members of the deceased and their family." ‌ Event organisers promptly halted any further celebrations set for MC Alger's championship win, as emergency services rushed to attend the scene. Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune extended his deepest sympathies to all impacted by the disaster. He wrote on X: "Following the painful incident that befell the supporters of MC Alger at the Stade du 5 Juillet, I can only pray for the soul of the deceased supporter. May God have mercy on him and grant him a place in his vast paradise. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The stadium was christened after the date Algeria proclaimed independence in July 1962. It once held 110,000 spectators during an international friendly match between Algeria and Serbia in 2010. However, due to the need to adhere to current football safety standards, the stadium's capacity has been reduced to 64,200. Before this unfortunate incident, there were plans to safely increase the stadium's capacity back up to 80,000.
