Top RSS brass to meet in Delhi early July as BJP likely to name chief
The entire top brass of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (
RSS
) will be in the national capital in the first week of July for the annual Prant Pracharak meeting with office-bearers of its regional units.
The three-day meeting, starting July 4, will be chaired by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.
Traditionally, the Prant Pracharak meet is where the Sangh reviews roles of full-timers (pracharaks), and occasionally deputes them to the BJP-though it has been some time since such an assignment was made.

Akhilesh: Storing poll data must, will oppose EC move
Lucknow: Stressing that it is important to store election data, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said that the decision of the Election Commission to destroy the video footage of the election process after 45 days could have been taken "under pressure from the BJP". Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday directed officials to take stern action against land mafia and encroachers and said that such people should not be spared. The CM issued the directives during the 'janata darshan' programme in Gorakhpur where he listened to the problems of nearly 200 people and assured them prompt and time-bound resolution of their grievances. A significant number of complaints pertained to land encroachments. Asking officials to take immediate action on all complaints, he warned that any delay in redressal would not be tolerated. "Land belonging to the poor should be freed from encroachment and strict legal action should be taken against land mafia, in line with the state's zero-tolerance policy. Those who illegally occupy land or displace the weak must not be spared," Yogi said. Several people sought financial assistance for medical treatment. Yogi assured them of full govt support and asked the officials to examine their documents and speed up financial assistance.
