Search for answers: Mystery haunts family of missing mom from Brighton 50 years after she vanished

'Any piece of information, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, could make a tremendous difference in the course of this decades long investigation,' Boston police said at the time.

Today Goroshko's loved ones are still waiting for answers, and her family is offering a $50,000 reward for any information that leads to the discovery of her remains.
'I want to give her a proper burial,' Rick said.
Rick was 14 years old when his mother went missing. His older brother was 20 and his younger brother was 12.
'It was a time full of loss and confusion,' he said. 'Wondering where she is. Is she coming home? Not knowing what happened. It's just a hole in your heart that never heals.'

Adventures With Purpose, a group of divers who use underwater sonar imaging to locate vehicles in bodies of water, recently searched Jamaica Pond and the Charles River for Goroshko's gold 1970 Ford Maverick, but to no avail.
'They found a lot of vehicles, but unfortunately they did not find my mother's vehicle,' he said.
Hans Hug, who owns Sonar Search & Recovery, a business in Exeter, N.H. that specializes in underwater search and recovery operations

has also located five vehicles in the Charles River that could potentially be Goroshko's. Hug plans to dive to the vehicles and hopefully identify them.
Rick, 64, who lives in Pennsylvania, holds out hope that her mother's car could contain evidence that could 'hold somebody accountable.'
'We're kind of running out of time to get someone to come forward who knows something,' he said. 'Somebody knows something. Maybe it's time they cleared their conscience, and make things right.'
The Boston Police Department Unsolved Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information that could be helpful to the investigation to contact 617-343-4470 or leave an anonymous tip by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
Dorothy P. Goroshko hasn't been seen since June 4, 1975.

The father of Pheobe Bishop's boyfriend has spoken out about the effect that the teen's disappearance has had on his son Rick, a father of six, said his son Levi, 18, is 'still traumatized' by the tragedy Pheobe, 17, was last seen on May 15, and two suspects have since been charged in connection with her deathThe father of the boyfriend of Pheobe Bishop, the 17-year-old Australian girl who was last seen on May 15, has revealed heartbreaking alleged details about the days leading up to her disappearance. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Rick — who did not want to reveal his last name — said his son, Levi, 18, was allegedly planning to meet Pheobe, his high school sweetheart, at the Perth Airport in Western Australia on May 15. Rick told the outlet that Levi waited for Pheobe, who was supposed to have boarded a flight in Queensland on the opposite side of the country, but she never arrived. PEOPLE reached out to Queensland Police for comment on Saturday, June 14, but did not receive an immediate response. "Levi absolutely adored Pheobe," Rick told the Daily Mail. 'They would video chat all night, every night, falling asleep — and then they would tell each other who was sleep-talking the next day,' he continued. Rick said Levi had been excited for Pheobe's visit for weeks. 'Levi had bought Pheobe a Canon camera worth $1,000 because she wanted to get into photography," he said, adding, 'A week before she was supposed to land, Levi had packed the 4WD up with camping gear.' Two suspects have been charged in connection with Pheobe's murder, per a June 5 press release from the Queensland Police. Australia's ABC News, SBS World News and reported that the suspects are Pheobe's housemates James Wood, 34, and Tanika Kristan Bromley, 33. "They have been charged with one count each of murder and two counts each of interfering with a corpse," police said, adding that both suspects were due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 6. The news came one day after it was reported that Wood had been arrested and questioned regarding Pheobe's disappearance, according to Australia's ABC News and On June 6, police confirmed that authorities had found what was believed to be human remains at around 2:30 p.m. local time "following a search of an area near Good Night Scrub National Park near Gin Gin," per a release. While the remains have yet to be positively identified, Pheobe's mother, Kylie Johnson, shared a statement on Facebook that same day, writing that the news was 'ripping [her] apart.'
