Water quality concerns delay opening of Jean-Doré Beach
Jean-Doré Beach remains closed as officials await water quality results ahead of the planned June 25 opening.
Jean-Doré Beach, located at Parc Jean-Drapeau, is currently closed due to water quality issues.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the park said the closure is a 'preventative measure' to ensure all conditions are met to provide a safe and enjoyable experience that complies with quality standards.
'We are closely monitoring the situation, including regular water quality analyses, in accordance with current standards,' the spokesperson said.
The beach is expected to officially open to the public on June 25 if the water analyses are satisfactory.
'We will be able to confirm the opening date in the coming days,' the spokesperson added.
