He released his first album, 'Shut Up and Dance', in 2002, which gained him regional and some national recognition. Now he has reached the Billboard Top 10 of the Country Album chart five times. His album 'The Underdog' reached number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart in 2015. Watson is known for his dedication to his fans, often staying late after performances to interact with them. He is a key figure in the independent country music scene, inspiring other artists to pursue their own path. Aaron Watson will perform with openers Garrison Wright and his son Jake Watson at Bear Creek Smokehouse in Marshall. (KTAL/KMSS) – This week Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, of Louisiana's 4th congressional district, welcomed Louisiana's 2025 Congressional Art Competition winner to the U.S. Capitol. On Thursday, representatives from Speaker Johnson's office shared photos of Grace Rougeau of Leesville, Louisiana visiting the United States Capitol during the 2025 Congressional Art Competition Celebration. Rougeau won first place for her painting, 'Craw-Fever'. The painting will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year. More Louisiana News The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide, visual art contest for high school students. One piece of artwork from each congressional district is chosen by a panel of judges to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.
