Miss Wales finalist who won £6m Omaze house still waiting to move in three months later
The winner of a £6m home is still waiting to receive their keys after an anonymous complaint has sparked a planning dispute.
Vicky Curtis-Cresswell from south Wales, won the luxury house in Blakeney, Norfolk, in an Omaze and Comic Relief raffle in March, which raised more than £4m for the charity.
The former Miss Wales finalist said at the time that she plans to sell the house and buy a property in Wales.
But North Norfolk District Council has started an investigation into the home after an anonymous member of the public raised their concerns that it had not been built to the approved designs.
Omaze has said it did submit a pre-application for the house and is now also submitting a retrospective planning application for the property.
But while the dispute is ongoing, Ms Curtis-Cresswell is unable to access her prize.
However, there is a possibility the plans could be refused by the authority, meaning it could take enforcement action and force the company to make changes.
The planning documents appear to show the house was built larger than permitted, the BBC reported.
It added that a tennis court and swimming pool built at the property do not appear to have planning permission
Omaze said the planning discrepancies were not revealed during checks and surveys of the property before it was purchased.
An Omaze spokesperson said: 'Omaze continues to work with North Norfolk District Council in relation to recommendations made regarding the property in Norfolk. Omaze has submitted a pre-application to the council and is submitting a retrospective planning application.
'Omaze reiterates that it guarantees no house winner would ever have to incur any costs whatsoever to remedy any historical planning issue. Omaze further guarantees that all house prizes are transferred to winners with good and marketable title."
A North Norfolk District Council spokesperson said: 'At present we are waiting for an application to be submitted by the owners to try and regularise the current breaches of planning control.
'We are expecting an application to be submitted by the end of this month.'

"So, now that the crisis of the past 18 months has eased, he seems to be working pretty much flat out for much of the time, and I'm sure that will continue." But despite his work and duty, there is one thing that always comes first for William as well as wife Kate - family. William is a very hands-on parent, doing the school run and ferrying the kids to their various after-school sports clubs and activities. Putting family first was no more so evident than at Easter earlier this year when he and his family skipped the traditional Easter Sunday church service with the King and Queen at Windsor to spend precious family time together - all with the King's blessing. And even if his schedule may seem busier, Jennie believes this family time is something William will always make a priority. She said: "These years are a period when, without the never-ending state duties of a monarch, he can be allowed to concentrate rather more fully on his wife and children. So I think school holidays will continue to be ring-fenced as much as possible, even if he is criticised for doing so. "You just have to look at the pictures of William and his children released for Father's Day to see how much they adore him and how close they are as a family. This tall, handsome, smiling man is their dad and their protector. And William would never want to put that in any jeopardy."

McDonald's fans brand new £7.99 burger 'very nice but messy' in mixed reactions
A new McDonald's burger has been labelled "very nice" but "messy" in mixed reactions from customers. The Big Arch burger was launched in UK stores on Wednesday, June 18 and comprises two beet patties, white cheddar cheese slices, onions, lettuce, pickles and Big Arch sauce. Thomas O'Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald's UK&I, said: 'A new iconic burger needs an equally iconic sauce, and we've taken it up a notch with the Big Arch. "This isn't just about size, it's about flavour. With double layers of beef, crispy onions, and the hero of the build, our signature sauce, every bite is crafted to hit the spot to satisfy serious McDonald's hunger. Big, bold, and packed with serious deliciousness.' Customers have had a few days to try the burger now, and it has had a generally positive response, albeit with some criticisms. Many people have taken to Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on the new McDonald's burger. Quite a few enjoyed the taste but found the burger quite messy to deal with.
