Israeli media report: all drones fired by Iran intercepted
About 100 drones launched from Iran towards Israel have been intercepted, according to an Israeli media report.
The news portal ynet reported on Friday that the drones had all been shot down. The Israeli military did not confirm the information.
The Israeli Homeland Front Command told the population that it was no longer necessary to remain in the vicinity of air raid shelters.
Israel launched a large-scale overnight airstrike on Iran, targeting more than 100 sites with around 200 fighter jets, according to an Israeli military spokesperson.
The operation included strikes on nuclear-related sites and killed senior military commanders and scientists.
In response, Iran launched more than 100 drones towards Israel, with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stating that Israel must expect "harsh punishment."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted a statement on Telegram condemning the "cynical strike," which he said included the use of North Korean ballistic missiles. Noting Russia's condemnation of recent Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iran, Zelenskyy said Moscow remains "silent" on its own ongoing bombardment of Ukrainian cities using Iranian-supplied attack drones. "A significant part of the drones and missiles were shot down by our sky defenders," Zelenskyy wrote. "But not all. And everyone in countries close to Russia, Iran and North Korea should think about whether they will be able to protect lives there if this coalition of killers persists and continues to spread terror." The Ukrainian president will visit the U.K. on Monday, as British leaders prepare for the NATO summit in the Netherlands on Tuesday. Zelenskyy said that air defense capabilities will be among the topics to be discussed, capabilities he said "should become the basis for a much stronger joint defense." US boosts emergency Mideast evacuations and travel warnings after Trump orders strikes in Iran
WASHINGTON -- The State Department has doubled the number of emergency evacuation flights it is providing for American citizens wishing to leave Israel, ordered the departure of nonessential staff from the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon and is stepping up travel warnings around the Middle East because of concerns Iran will retaliate against U.S. interests in the region for the weekend strikes on its nuclear facilities. In an alert sent to all Americans worldwide and posted to its website on Sunday, the State Department warned all U.S. citizens abroad to exercise caution. 'The conflict between Israel and Iran has resulted in disruptions to travel and periodic closure of airspace across the Middle East,' it said. 'There is the potential for demonstrations against U.S. citizens and interests abroad. The Department of State advises U.S. citizens worldwide to exercise increased caution.' In a notice, also issued on Sunday, the department said it had ordered nonessential personnel and the families of staff at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut to leave Lebanon 'due to the volatile and unpredictable security situation in the region.' The notice made no mention of any potential evacuation flights or other assistance for private Americans wanting to leave Lebanon but said those who want to should try to use existing commercial services to depart. At the same time, the department issued warnings to U.S. citizens in Saudi Arabia and Turkey to take extra security precautions given the uncertainty. 'Given reports of regional hostilities, the U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia has advised its personnel to exercise increased caution and limit non-essential travel to any military installations in the region,' the department said in its notice for Saudi Arabia.
