Enhypen Reaches New Career Highs With Its Latest Era

Enhypen has ranked as one of the biggest names in K-pop around the world for half a decade now. The group has been steadily growing its fanbase in Western markets after breaking out and becoming superstars in South Korea. It took the vocal troupe several years to reach the United Kingdom's music charts, but with each passing project, the group becomes bigger and bigger.
Enhypen lands a new hit song in the U.K. this week with 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' The track debuts on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts, opening at Nos. 20 and 21, respectively.
As 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' debuts, Enhypen earns its first top 40 hit on both of those purchase-centric tallies in the U.K. The tune brings the K-pop favorites to a new high point, outpacing 'XO (Only If You Say Yes)' by more than 20 spaces.
Enhypen has now collected five total hits on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. The K-pop group first landed on these lists in April 2024 with 'Sweet Venom, and since then, the outfit has appeared with ' XO (Only If You Say Yes),' 'No Doubt,' 'Lucid,' and now 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' So far, every one of those tunes has managed just one turn on the tally.
'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' serves as the lead single from Enhypen's new EP Desire: Unleash. That short set appears only on the Official Album Downloads chart in the U.K., where it soars to a new high of No. 31 after debuting at No. 80 last frame, a position it hit after a shortened tracking period of availability.
Enhypen had been collecting placements on the Official Album Downloads list for years before scoring a hit song. The group launched on the downloads-only tally in December 2020 and has thus far scored six bestselling releases, with its newest arrival landing somewhere in the middle in terms of peak position.

A community pub has been given a new lease of life - with the introduction of Totton's Got Talent, a whisky club and Mellow Sundays. Laura and Rich Bradshaw have been at the helm of The Saxon Inn in Calmore for just six weeks and are already making waves. The couple, lifelong publicans who last had a pub in Essex, have already hosted several events for their chosen local charity, and introduced live music and a variety of special nights and offers. We are already seeing people who haven't been in for ages coming back. "We want to be very community orientated, if anyone needs any help, come to the pub and we'll see what we can do, we might be able to help or put you in touch with someone. "I grew up where the pub was the centre of the village, the heart of the community, that's what we want to achieve. "There's something for everyone and everyone is welcome." (Image: The Saxon Inn) Totton's Got Talent, with a cash prize of £1,000, will run from July 11 to 13, one of a number of fundraising efforts following the pub's promise to raise £5,000 each year for local heart screenings by Cardiac Risk in the Young, in memory of Calmore lad Ryan Carter, who died suddenly in 2019, aged 25. There's also been a special evening with former professional boxer Joe Egan and a family fun day, with lots more events to come inspired by a meeting with Ryan's mum Sue, including a Bullseye style darts contest in August. Mellow Sundays - with a carvery and live jazz band - have been a revelation, there's a resident DJ on Friday nights and local covers bands performing every Saturday. There's pizza and a pint for £10 on Mondays, the pool team are in on Tuesdays, it's Wednesday for quiz night and steaks are served up on Thursdays. The pub offers a food and drink delivery service within an eight mile radius. Tributes paid to healthcare worker and Kate Nash 'superfan' who has died at 22
A mother has paid tribute to her beloved daughter and Kate Nash "superfan", who has died at the age of 22. "Fun-loving" Laura Lily-Anne Ray, of Bitterne Park, was a healthcare assistant in Marchwood whose death has left friends and family devastated. Mum Janina said Laura would be missed by everyone who knew her - with singer Kate Nash, best known for her track Foundations, penning a letter of condolence to the family. The singer's track Ray, released in 2024 as part of 9 Sad Symphonies, was created for Laura's 18th birthday and takes its name from Laura. "She loved getting tattoos, loved EastEnders. She was just a very special individual. "We are devastated, it isn't easy. We have two young boys, so we are having to keep going for them." Laura, a former pupil at Bitterne Park School, was also a member of Westfield Productions and loved performing in pantos, dancing and singing. Janina says Laura had suffered with her mental health, but wanted to use her experience to try and help others, adding: "She excelled at her work and she absolutely loved it. "Laura and I were inspired by Kate Nash at the first gig we saw her at Brighton on her Mental tour. "She spoke so openly about mental health, how it was ok to have feelings and to talk." The family were touched to receive a card and flowers from Kate Nash - who Laura first saw in around 2017 - and condolences from fellow fans as far away as America. In the card, Kate Nash called Laura a "shining light", adding: "I was so proud to call her a fan. "I remember the first time I saw her, she showed me so much love and support. "She will be so missed, and I will never forget her." Janina adds that Laura had two sphinx cats, Ronnie and Rocko, who are up for rehoming as the family cannot care for them. A card and flowers from Kate Nash, lots from work and individual messages," added Janina. "We were supposed to be going to Portugal next Saturday together as a family. She was really looking forward to it." The last time Laura's mum saw her in person was at a family outing at Victoria Country Park on the Thursday before she died. The family spent time enjoying ice creams and making TikTok videos on the beach. Staff at Marchwood Priory, where she worked, have said she was passionate, and "brilliant with the patients and a real team player". She had been living with her grandfather in Bassett, where she sadly took her own life on May 26, her family said. Donations in memory of Laura can be made to MIND. Craig David on 7 Days, selling mixtapes, and his love of performing in Southampton
Craig David has a notoriously busy week, but luckily made time to talk to the Echo about his homecoming show this weekend. The Southampton local who shot to fame overnight in the early 2000s has long graced the RnB scene. He consistently champions is home city too, previously backing the bid for Southampton to be UK City of Culture and praising the pool of local musical talent. The 44-year-old singer, songwriter and DJ said he feels a 'flood of nostalgia' every time he reaches the roundabout at the top of The Avenue on approach to Southampton. 'The feeling of being home just hits every single time…being able to wrap that all up and bring it to the stage is important', he said. 'Specifically in Southampton, some of my tunes and songs mean a lot to people if I play them, for example my first song with Artful Dodger, that would mean a lot. 'People will say 'I remember when he did it on the mixtape and used to sell it at the barbers'. 'I am very excited and I never take the big hug and the love I get every time I come back to Southampton for granted.' David will be taking to the Summer Sessions stage on Guildhall Square on Saturday night, a big event that is proving popular year on year. He described the music industry as very 'London centric' in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He added: 'Growing up in Southampton I had the time and space to nurture my sound. 'We were on the pulse in being so close to London, which is why I think the music scene growing in Southampton was so poignant as it opened up the floodgates for musicians in other cities. 'The scene now in Southampton is thriving.' Speaking on his headliner gig on Saturday night, David said he is 'adamant' that he always wants to bring his classic songs to the stage, including 7 Days, the same way they were recorded. 'As it will be a TS5 DJ set, it will give me the freedom to interject with the original, do a remix, throw in an instrumental from another song, which is going back to what I did when I was DJ'ing on the south coast and making mixtapes in my bedroom', he said. And on the subject of 7 Days, it felt right to ask if, writing the song now, whether he would change any of the activities 25 years since its release. He said: 'That song lives in the space of me being 17 years old, looking out my bedroom window, thinking how my life would go down. 'It is the gift that keeps giving.' 'I was not being overtly vulgar in that song – I lived with my mum and had my grandma around so I needed it to have a filter and be cool', David joked.
