JoJo Siwa calls Mickey Rourke a ‘rat', says she's ‘head over heels' for Chris Hughes: 'You can't help who you love'
JoJo Siwa has spoken out about her dramatic Celebrity Big Brother experience, describing actor Mickey Rourke as 'some rat' after his remarks about her sexuality, and confirming that her relationship with fellow housemate Chris Hughes is no longer platonic.
'It's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way,' she told The Guardian.
The 22-year-old pop star and business mogul revealed that the reality show not only transformed her perspective but also brought unexpected joy into her life. 'By a landslide, it is the best thing that's ever happened to me,' she said of the experience. Siwa and Hughes, who defended her during Rourke's offensive comments in the house, formed a close bond that quickly sparked fan speculation.
Though she initially denied any romantic involvement, Siwa now admits the relationship has evolved. 'You can't help who you love,' she said, expressing how natural their connection has become. Despite early tabloid rumours and her recent split from Australian actor Kath Ebbs, Siwa insists her happiness is genuine.
Recalling her conflict with Rourke, Siwa reflected, 'As it was happening, I just froze.' Despite the pain, she remained composed, stating firmly, 'Some rat doesn't get to ruin this for me.'
She also shared how much joy Chris has brought into her life: 'Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never been in pain from smiling so much.'
Siwa and Hughes' relationship began during Celebrity Big Brother UK in April 2025, where their bond quickly deepened. By May, they confirmed their romance during a holiday in Mexico, followed by a rose-filled reunion at Heathrow.
A recent Snapchat post showing Hughes kissing Siwa's forehead further solidified their growing closeness.

Eminem stalker Matthew Hughes, sentenced to 30 years
Matthew Hughes, a man who has repeatedly stalked and broken into the home of rapper Eminem, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term following a second conviction for home invasion. According to reports, Hughes, 32, received a sentence of 15 to 30 years for first-degree home invasion, in addition to another term of three to seven years and six months for aggravated stalking. The sentences will be served consecutively. The sentencing comes after Hughes was convicted last month following a brief jury trial in which Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, also testified. Hughes is now legally prohibited from having any contact with the rapper or coming within 500 feet of his residence or workplace. This latest conviction stems from a second break-in incident that occurred just months after Hughes had been released on parole in May 2024. His history with Eminem dates back several years. In 2020, Hughes gained national attention after he broke into Eminem's home and was found standing behind the rapper while he was sleeping. According to police reports at the time, Hughes told Eminem he was there to kill him. He later accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to five years of probation, which he violated that November by committing a separate assault, resulting in jail time. Additionally, Hughes had previously been arrested in 2019 for trespassing and sleeping in a guest house of a property formerly owned by Eminem. In a separate entertainment news update, music producer Damizza revealed on the TFU Podcast that Eminem once wanted pop icon Mariah Carey to portray his mother in the semi-autobiographical film 8 Mile. According to Damizza, Carey initially declined to meet with the rapper but later reconsidered. The idea, however, reportedly triggered Carey's insecurities, and the role ultimately went to another actress.

Aaron Pierre gains James Bond buzz after breakout performance in Netflix's Rebel Ridge
Speculation around the next James Bond continues to grow, and British actor Aaron Pierre has emerged as a compelling candidate. Industry insider Daniel Richtman recently reported that Pierre is among those being considered for the iconic role. Fans and critics alike point to his performance in Netflix's 2024 action thriller Rebel Ridge as a strong argument in his favor. Directed by Jeremy Saulnier, Rebel Ridge follows Terry Richmond, a former marine who travels to Shelby Springs to help his cousin. Once there, he becomes entangled in a violent conflict with corrupt local police. Pierre's portrayal of Richmond earned acclaim for its balance of intensity, physicality, and charisma—traits long associated with the Bond character. In a review by Dexerto, Pierre's performance was described as 'a star-is-born moment'—'hulking, intimidating, but coolly charismatic.' The Guardian praised it as 'a real movie star arrival,' while Variety highlighted his 'restraint and precision,' calling his character both 'sympathetic' and powerful. Even The Observer, despite reservations about the film, noted that Pierre deserves his own action franchise. Pierre is also set to star as John Stewart in the upcoming DC series Lanterns, marking his entry into the superhero genre. But fans are now wondering whether his next big role could be as James Bond. With charm, intelligence, and effortless screen presence, Rebel Ridge proves that Pierre has all the right ingredients to take on the legendary 007 role.

Ninja warns AI deepfakes could destroy live streaming within a year
Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins, one of the most recognizable names in gaming and live streaming, has issued a strong warning about the future of the industry in light of rapid advances in artificial intelligence. The Twitch veteran believes AI-generated deepfake videos will soon pose an existential threat to streamers. Speaking during a recent broadcast, Ninja said AI technology, like Google's Veo3, is progressing so quickly that it could make streaming 'impossible' within a year if proper safeguards aren't implemented. His main concern centers around the rise of convincing AI-generated videos showing streamers engaging in fake gameplay or making offensive statements. 'If there's no watermark that's unremovable, streaming is going to be over,' Ninja said. 'There will be AI videos of me saying unhinged things, and people will believe them.' Ninja also highlighted the potential for AI to be used maliciously by those trying to fabricate scandals or spread fake drama. The ability to prompt AI to create such content could lead to reputational damage for many creators. His comments follow a viral video where Veo3 generated a fake Fortnite streamer celebrating a win. While not yet flawless, the video demonstrated just how close AI is to replicating real-time content. The broader implications are already unfolding. Earlier in 2025, an Australian radio station used an AI-generated host for months without public awareness, highlighting how easy it is to deceive audiences. As AI continues to blur the lines between real and fake, Ninja's warning emphasizes the urgent need for mandatory content labeling and watermarking tools to protect the integrity of live streaming platforms.
