Oh, Canada: Toronto man pleads guilty after wild airport assault on TSA agents in Miami was caught on video
A Canadian man's layover in Florida turned into a federal case after he attacked two Transportation Security Administration officers at Miami International Airport in a chaotic outburst caught on video.
Cameron Dylan McDougall, 28, of Toronto, pleaded guilty in federal court earlier this month to two counts of assaulting, resisting or impeding federal officers, according to court records.

The trouble began Dec. 27, when McDougall allegedly struck a fellow passenger aboard a Copa Airlines flight traveling from Panama City to Toronto.
According to reporting from Local 10 News, the midair altercation prompted the pilot to divert the flight to Miami, where McDougall was removed from the plane but not arrested.
Instead, he was told he could book another flight back to Canada. McDougall purchased a ticket on Air Canada for the following day.
But as he prepared to board that flight at MIA the morning of Dec. 28, he once again lashed out, this time in the airport.
Authorities said McDougall had already cleared the TSA checkpoint when, without provocation, he randomly struck another passenger around 6:37 a.m., according to court documents cited by WPLG Local 10.
A security guard who attempted to intervene was also assaulted. Two minutes later, McDougall returned to the screening area and targeted a TSA supervisor, swinging wildly. Though the supervisor dodged the punches, another officer who tried to restrain McDougall was hit in the face at least three times, sustaining minor injuries.
The entire encounter was recorded on airport surveillance and released to the public this week. The footage shows McDougall throwing punches, getting flipped over a screening bin cart and continuing to resist as agents struggled to restrain him.
He was subdued and arrested by officers with the Miami-Dade Police Department.
McDougall pleaded guilty May 19 and is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court May 30. Each federal charge carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison.
He also faces state charges, including three felony counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and one misdemeanor battery charge, according to Miami-Dade court records. As they reached the lobby, J.K. screamed for help and Lopez fled, according to police. He was arrested shortly after. Earlier burglary in the same building During the investigation, officers discovered that Lopez had allegedly committed an armed burglary earlier that same day inside the building. In that incident, he's accused of stealing a man's wallet, phone, and keys to his unit. Criminal history and court appearance Police said Lopez was on conditional release supervision with the Florida Department of Corrections and had only been out of state prison since January. He has a lengthy criminal record, including past charges for narcotics sales, possession of a firearm by a felon, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Lopez now faces one count of armed home invasion, three counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon, and one count of armed burglary with battery. At his first court appearance Friday, the judge ruled there was probable cause and ordered Lopez to be held without bond. Residents speak out CBS News Miami spoke with several Flamingo Towers residents who are now feeling on edge. Jordan Penev said, "I am just concerned about security. Searchers recover 2nd body after rockfall near Canada's Banff National Park hiking trail
CALGARY, Alberta — Search teams located a second body Friday following a massive rockfall off a hiking trail in Canada's Banff National Park. The University of Alberta confirmed one of the two people killed in the rockfall in Banff National Park was retired educator Jutta Hinrichs, who was a leader in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. Parks Canada officials say she was 70 and lived in Calgary. The slide happened Thursday afternoon north of Lake Louise on the Icefields Parkway, about 200 kilometers (124 miles) northwest of Calgary. It is also about 137 kilometers (85 miles) from the site of the Group of Seven summit held in Kananaskis, Alberta, this week. Three others were taken to the hospital and were reported in stable condition. Officials said no one else has been reported missing and there are no unidentified vehicles at the trailhead. The route rus along the edges of Bow Lake and is considered a moderate challenge for hikers and is used by tourists and day-trippers, including families. It's a region with limited cellular service. Niclas Brundell, a trail guide who lives in nearby Canmore, said he was hiking in the area with his wife Thursday when they both started seeing concerning signs of rocks tumbling and boulders the size of tires starting to fall. 'This was unimaginable to me, that such a big piece of mountain would fall off,' he said. As rocks started rolling at the top of the waterfall, he said, they didn't hit anyone, but he and his wife wondered why nobody seemed to be reacting. 'Then all of a sudden, I hear the start of another rockfall, and I turn around, and the whole mountainside is coming off.' He said the slab seemed about 50 meters (164 feet) wide and 20 meters (60 feet) deep, and he and his wife started sprinting. When he turned around, he could see a group of between 15 and 30 people at the waterfall disappear under a cloud of dust.
