Test-Riding The Meet One Breeze Pro Fat Tire Electric Trike

Forbesa day ago

This is perhaps one of the most high end pedal and electric-powered trikes on the market.
The rise of electrically assisted equipment has brought a wave of new, more accessible, bikes and trikes to the market. For the most part, unlike electric bikes, electric trikes are typically aimed at older or less able people but that doesn't mean a lack of style. The Meet One Breeze Pro is equipped with chunky tires and a super comfy seat, so you can get about with ease.
Whereas once, older people may have looked at mobility scooters or the like, an electric trike seems like a great opportunity to keep moving but benefit from similar features. The Meet One Breeze Pro feels designed to take the pressure off of your joints so you can enjoy popping to the shops, riding along the beachfront or through the park putting in as much or as little effort as you want.
There's plenty of freedom to accessorise the electric trike to suit your lifestyle
The first thing you notice about the Meet One Breeze Pro electric trike is its sturdiness. Although the bike can be a little heavy to push around, once you're on the seat and ready to ride, the weight of the trike feels reassuring and gives good stability. On the right hand side of the handlebars, you can control the trike's mechanical gearing. On the left, you can toggle between three different levels of electric assistance.
A super useful feature is the throttle control which allows you to pull away without pedalling. The speed at which you can pull away depends on the level of assistance the trike is set to. This, and details about speed and range, are located in a crisp digital display. Depending on battery configuration, terrain and riding style, Meet One estimates the trike can travel between 40 to 100 miles before it needs recharging.
Maximum speed with assistance is limited to 22 mph but unless you're traveling down a hill on a smooth surface, it's unlikely you'll ever need to go that quick. To help with the trike's agility it has a rear differential which gives it tighter cornering ability. Although the trike comes with a 750W motor it can be limited to 250W to suit regulations in different regions like the UK for example.
Comfort is the highlight of the Meet One Breeze Pro, the saddle is wide and supportive and the backrest turns it into a nice seat when you're taking a break. There's a good level of adjustability with the handlebars and the rear mirrors make visibility behind much easier, saving you having to turn around or twist in the seat. For those with limited mobility, the frame is fairly low so you don't have to lift your leg too high to get on.
With rear view mirrors, you can be aware of your surroundings without needing to twist or turn
As far as tech goes, the Breeze Pro is fairly simple to get to grips with. The digital display shows the key pieces of information and plugging in to charge is easy. Its strengths are in its accessories and practicality. With the current offer, a front basket and rear storage cage come as standard. Whether it's a quick pop to the shops for ingredients for Sunday brunch or a gentle ride to collect dinner, the Breeze Pro has great storage solutions to suit different applications.
When it comes to safety, the trike is fitted with in-built lights and a rear brake light to alert other traffic when you're slowing down. Alongside the standard specification, Meet One offers a huge range of accessories so you can tailor the bike to your lifestyle with things like bottle holders and phone mounts.
The electric trike can be specified with a dual armrest seat for some extra support and comfort
In its base form with a single battery, the Meet One Breeze Pro starts from $1,999. For an extra $200 the seat can be upgraded to feature a wider chair-like setup with armrests. Depending on range requirements, there's a variety of dual battery configurations which can offer more than 100 miles of range with the most expensive option costing $2,799.
Since the likes of the Jorvik JET-E16 starts from around $4,000, the Meet One Breeze Pro electric trike is impressive value. As part of the model's launch, pre-orders come with more than $300 worth of accessories like front and rear baskets, rearview mirrors and a larger backrest.

HackerNoon Publishes: Business Pros Underestimate AI Risks Compared to Tech Teams, Social Links Study Shows

New York, United States, June 20, 2025 -- HackerNoon, the independent tech publishing platform, published thefollowing release today. Text below: A new study from Social Links, a leader in open-source intelligence solutions, reveals a gap between business and technical professionals when it comes to recognizing the risks posed by AI-powered cyberattacks. Despite the rapid rise in threat sophistication, business respondents appear significantly less concerned thаn their tech colleagues. This fact highlights a potential blind spot in organizational preparedness. The survey gathered insights from 237 professionals (from CEO and Technical C-level to Cybersecurity Specialists and Product Managers) across various industries, including Financial Services, Technology, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Logistics, Government, etc. The results showed that just 27.8% of business people (professionals in non-technical, business-oriented roles) identified usage of AI to generate fake messages as one of the most relevant cyber threats. In contrast, 53.3% of technical professionals flagged it as a top concern—nearly double the level of alarm. A similar pattern emerged around deepfake technology: 46.7% of technical staff expressed concern, compared to just 27.8% of business respondents. This gap underscores a critical vulnerability in organizational security: business professionals, who often make prime targets for sophisticated AI-driven social engineering and deepfake schemes, show notably lower levels of concern or awareness about these threats. At the same time, the most vulnerable departments for cyber threats identified by respondents were Finance and Accounting (24.1%), IT and Development (21.5%), HR and Recruitment (15.2%), and Sales and Account Manаgement (13.9%). 'This is no longer a question of 'if'—AI-powered threats are already here and evolving quickly,' says Ivan Shkvarun, CEO of Social Links. 'We're seeing a clear gap between those building defenses and those most likely to be targeted. Bridging that gap requires not just better technical tools, but broader awareness and education across all levels of an organization.' Key Insights from the Research: Traditional vs. AI-Driven Threats: While phishing and email fraud remain the most cited threats (69.6%), followed by malware/ransomware (49.4%), AI-driven attacks are gaining ground. 39.2% of respondents identified the use of AI to craft fake messages and campaigns as a major concern, and 32.9% pointed to deepfakes and synthetic identities—confirming that generative technologies are now a recognized part of the corporate threat landscape. 'Traditional threats like phishing and malware still dominate the charts. But what we're seeing now is that AI isn't replacing these risks, it's supercharging them, turning generic scams into tailored operations—fast, cheap, and more convincing. That's the real shift: automation and personalization at scale,' explains Ivan. Employee Footprint Risk: 60.8% of respondents report that employees use corporate accounts for personal purposes—such as posting on forums, engaging on social media, or updating public profiles. 59.5% also link publicly available employee data (e.g., LinkedIn bios, activities in forums and blogs) to real cyber incidents, identifying it as a recurring entry point for attacks. Unregulated AI Adoption: Over 82% of companies let employees use AI tools at work, yet only 36.7% have a formal policy that controls how those tools are used. This gap fuels 'Shadow AI'—the unsanctioned adoption of chatbots, code assistants, or other AI services without IT oversight, which can leak sensitive data and create hidden security and compliance risks. 'You can't really stop people from using work accounts or data when they're active online. The same goes for AI tools: people will use them to save time or get help with tasks, whether there's a policy or not. But all this activity leaves digital traces. And those traces can make it easier for scammers to find and target employees. What actually helps is teaching people how to spot the risks and giving them the right tools to stay safe, instead of just saying 'don't do it,'' explains Ivan. The research emphasizes that effective cybersecurity in the AI era requires a holistic approach that extends beyond technical controls to include comprehensive human-centric security programs. Employee training on safe AI use was overwhelmingly perceived by survey respondents as the most effective mitigation measure for 'Shadow AI' (72.2%), followed by the development of internal policies (46.8%). Social Links is committed to addressing these evolving challenges and has recently launched the Darkside AI initiative, aimed at further exploring and mitigating the risks posed by advanced AI-driven threats. NthJEN Announces the Launch of Revolutionary Smart Bed Technology to Prevent Bedsores and Patient Falls

06/20/2025, Overland Park, Kansas // PRODIGY: Feature Story // After nearly a decade of development, testing, and clinical feedback, NthJEN LLC announces the launch of its breakthrough multi-sensor smart bed technology into the healthcare market. Designed to monitor immobility, alert clinicians of risk, and help prevent injuries, the solution stands at the intersection of compassion, precision, and innovation. Founder and CEO Naveen Gogumalla calls it 'a just-in-time, technology-based solution for one of the most overlooked problems in healthcare.' NthJEN's smart bed system, powered by a thin, pressure-sensitive membrane layered over any standard bed, uses over a thousand sensors to continuously map the patient's pressure distribution and activity. Unlike traditional methods that rely on visual checks or outdated alarms, the system detects early signs of immobility or unsafe patterns that can lead to pressure ulcers or dangerous falls. It can even detect if a patient has gotten out of bed and failed to return within a safe timeframe, alerting staff in real-time. 'It's not just about alarms, it's about precision alerts that matter,' says Gogumalla. 'We have designed this system to reduce alarm fatigue by only alerting caregivers when necessary. If the patient is out of bed too long or has not moved in a high-risk position, that's when the system speaks up.' The journey to market began in 2017, when Gogumalla, whose background spans IT and healthcare, was approached by a wound care nurse desperate for a real solution. 'She said everyone was trying to help us with these wounds, but no one was solving the core issue,' he recalls. Motivated by that challenge, and deeply affected by the untimely passing of his sister due to a cardiac event, Gogumalla redirected his efforts to build something that could truly make a difference. 'I kept thinking, how can we use technology to keep people safe? That's what drove this,' he says. What emerged was a durable medical device that could be prescribed by physicians, used in homes or care facilities, and integrated into existing hospital infrastructure. The product is durable, waterproof, and reusable. It straps securely to the bed, reads pressure changes through advanced sensors, and communicates data to clinicians and caregivers via a web-based dashboard. In the future, NthJEN aims to consolidate even more clinical monitoring into the device, vitals, telemetry, and ambient sensors, all in one discreet system. 'One of the core advantages is remote access,' says Gogumalla. 'Family members can receive email alerts or log in to view the bed status. In an age where loved ones are spread across cities or countries, this level of connection provides peace of mind.' Over five years of testing have proven the product's resilience in both clinical and home environments. The system's data logging capabilities can even aid litigation defense by documenting caregiver responses to alarms. According to Gogumalla, the solution helps not just the patient, but the entire ecosystem of care. 'This makes the caregiver more efficient. You don't need to walk in and check unless the alert tells you something's wrong. That changes everything,' he states. The market demand is clear. In the U.S. alone, pressure ulcers and falls account for over $50 billion in treatment and liability costs annually. With the smart bed's ability to detect inactivity or absence before harm occurs, NthJEN offers prevention, not just response. And while some competitors use in-room cameras or rudimentary pressure sensors, NthJEN stands apart. 'We are not trying to map wounds. We are trying to prevent them,' Gogumalla clarifies. 'And we don't believe in turning bedrooms into surveillance zones. This system respects patient dignity while still improving care.' Gogumalla and his team are already working with experienced physical therapists, home care networks, and hospitals to bring the solution into more hands. 'Our vision goes beyond the bed,' he adds. 'We are working toward a future where the hospital room is less cluttered, more integrated, and remotely accessible. Imagine a doctor standing on a beach and checking your vitals remotely from the same system.' For Gogumalla, though, the focus remains grounded. 'This is not about me,' he says. 'It's about solving a real problem and getting it into the hands of people who need it: nurses, patients, caregivers, families. That's who we built it for.'
