Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge to Close Temporarily for Kuwait Sports Day
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21: The Ministry of Interior has announced that, in coordination with the Public Authority for Sports, the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge will be temporarily closed due to Kuwait Sports Day events. The closure will take effect as follows: - The bridge towards Subiya will be closed from Friday 21st Feb at 11:00 PM. - The bridge towards Shuwaikh will be closed from Saturday 22nd at 4:00 AM until the event concludes. The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media has urged road users to follow the instructions of the General Traffic Department and use alternative routes during this period.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: The preliminary rounds of the Ministries, Authorities, and Government Institutions Football League have concluded, with the Ministry of Interior securing a spot in the semi-finals after finishing at the top of Group One with 17 points, including 5 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss. The National Guard also clinched the lead in Group B with the same score, ensuring both teams advanced to the semi-finals. They will face the winners of two exciting matchups: the General Administration of Customs, who finished as Group A runner-up with 13 points, against the Ministry of Electricity and Water, who placed third in Group B with 13 points. Additionally, the Public Authority for Industry, third in Group A with 13 points, will take on the National Petroleum Company, runner-up in Group B with 16 points. The National Guard team dominated the tournament with the highest scoring rate, netting 23 goals, and boasting the strongest attack. On the other hand, the Ministry of Information team had the weakest defense, conceding 25 goals. The Ministry of Interior achieved 5 victories, matching the National Guard and National Petroleum Company, while the Public Authority for Industry scored and conceded 17 goals each. In the Ministries Futsal League, the Ministry of Electricity and Water and the Ministry of Finance emerged as the semi-finalists from Group A, while the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard advanced from Group B.
