Brock Lesnar's daughter Mya one-ups famous father with latest incredible feat

Mya Lesnar, the daughter of UFC and WWE star Brock Lesnar, is a national champion.
A senior at Colorado State, Mya captured the NCAA shot put championship on her first throw, which travelled 19.01 meters at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on Thursday, the New York Post reports.
It was a fitting end to a dominant collegiate career in which Mya also won the 2024 indoor shot put national championship and was named 2024 Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year, among several other accolades.
She entered the national championships ranked as the top outdoor shot put thrower in the nation and bested Illinois' Abria Smith, whose best throw landed at 18.85 metres.
You can watch Mya Lesnar's winning throw in the player above.
Mya's title also marked Colorado State's first outdoor national championship since 2005, when Loree Smith won the hammer throw.
Mya was the only woman to hit the 19-meter mark all season, and her title-winning throw on Thursday was far from her personal best.
She hit the 19.60-metre mark at the final dual meet of her collegiate career, which would have secured a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
And it turns out she may have gotten some pre-competition inspiration from 'Modern Family' star Eric Stonestreet, who said he 'coached her up a little over FaceTime in prep for the big day' in a congratulatory post on Instagram.
By capturing her second national title, Mya has now officially outdone the NCAA career of her dad, who won the NCAA heavyweight wrestling title with Minnesota in 2000 before going on to UFC and WWE glory.
Brock was in attendance as Mya earned the title, proudly taking in the moment from the stands.
What's next for Mya's career remains to be seen, although she certainly seems to have the requisite talent to compete for the U.S. at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles if she desires.

Lionel Messi nails incredible Club World Cup free-kick winner

Lionel Messi lit up the Club World Cup with a majestic winner that fans reckon should earn him a ridiculous ninth Ballon d'Or. The iconic attacker conjured incredible curl to flash home a free-kick as Inter Miami stunned Portuguese giants Porto with a 2-1 comeback victory, as The Sun reports. David Beckham's team went wild after 37-year-old Messi's deadball detonation left viewers claiming the Argentine was as good as ever. One fan raved: 'He is incredible! Messi is from another planet! Give him the ballon d'Or!' Another wrote: 'The curl on that! What a goal from the greatest ever.' A third posted: 'You don't leave the legend with a foul like that to score the goal.' A fourth added: The GOAT doing GOAT things.' If anything, Messi's strike looked even better when seen on the innovative Ref Cam, which you can see below. It showed the ex-Barcelona hero making his magic look easy, as with barely any backlift he whipped the ball home from a central position just outside the penalty area. Miami had roared back after Samu Aghehowa's early penalty opener for Porto in front of 31,783 fans at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. And in fact that spot-kick was a soft decision, following a VAR intervention when Noah Allen was spotted making slight contact on Joao Mario. Venezuela midfielder Telasco Segovia thumped Miami level just 96 seconds into the second half. And Messi – the night's star performer for so much more than his goal – completed the turnaround seven minutes later with his vintage swerver. Porto did pour forward late on, with Aghehowa blazing high. But Becks' MLS club now share top place in Group A with Palmeiras, both on four points from two games.

Hannah Green eagles, Minjee Lee stays second in Women's PGA Championship second round

Minjee Lee has overcome sweltering conditions to remain equal second at the halfway point of the Women's PGA Championship in Texas. On a day when the average score soared to around 77, Lee carved out an even-par second round of 72 to stay strong at 3-under for the championship. Lee trails world number two Jeeno Thitikul by three shots after the Thai star shot to 6-under with a late flurry. Chasing a maiden major, Thitikul birdied her last two holes in a second-round 2-under 70 at PGA Frisco's Fields Ranch East course. The 22-year-old former world number one will carry the 36-hole lead into a major for only the second time, having tied for 12th after being the halfway pacesetter at the 2024 Chevron Championship. Further back in the field, world number eight Hannah Green showed how impressive any sort of consistency on the course was, with a rollercoaster round of 74. Her round featured a double bogey, four bogeys, two birdies, and 10 pars, plus the shot of the day, a hole-out eagle at the par-five 13th. Meanwhile, the Perth-raised, Dallas-based Lee offset three bogeys with three birdies to stay firmly in the mix for a third major title. Significantly, unlike the first round when she dropped two shots in the last three holes, Lee hung tough down the stretch with three back-nine birdies after slipping four strokes behind at one stage. Her late rally left Lee alongside Japan's Rio Takeda, who carded a 1-under 71 to be tied for second. Do you have a story idea about women in sport? The American continues to revel since retiring from full-time professional golf, Thompson climbing to fourth with a 2-under second round. Japan's Chisato Iwai and American Auston Kim, who both posted second-round 72s, are the only other players in red numbers at 1-under. World number one Nelly Korda (74) is tied for 16th at 2-over after managing only one birdie for the day. Steph Kyriacou (75) is the next best of the Australians, one shot behind Korda, at 3-over and equal 25th. Green is another stroke back. Karis Davidson (75), Gabriela Ruffels (74), Hira Naveed (76) and Grace Kim (78) all made the cut. AAP
