Kajol says a firm ‘No' to DDLJ sequel: ‘Nobody should care what happened after train scene'
Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan are undoubtedly one of Bollywood's most beloved on-screen jodis and their blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) continues to remain a cultural touchstone decades after its release. SRK and Kajol's magic isn't limited to just one film, they have also delivered hits like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name Is Khan, and Dilwale, all of which struck a chord with audiences and performed well at the box office. While fans have always admired their electric on-screen chemistry, Kajol recently opened up about the real bond that she shares with Shah Rukh off-screen.
In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, she said, 'We've done too many movies together at different phases of our lives. We got married, we had our kids, we led our separate lives. We've been friends for a very long time. We've seen each other grow. It is a lifetime of working with each other, and great friends are all about being with you throughout it all.'
What truly stands out for Kajol is Shah Rukh Khan's work ethic and presence on set. She shared, 'I admire that man so much. I'll just say that I've never seen a man being so present on set. He knows everybody's lines. He's not living in his own head. He is present. He will make sure he is committed to what he is doing, 100%.'

But for fans hoping for a sequel to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kajol has a firm stance—it's a no. 'They should never make DDLJ 2,' she said, adding, 'They should leave it at Simran climbing the train. Nobody should care what happened post that—kisne kisko maara hai, kitne bachche hue (who fought who, how many children they had). We don't discuss marriage after that. It's done and dusted. Nobody wants to know what happened to Raj and Simran after the train scene.' For Kajol, the story ended perfectly—and trying to continue it would only take away from its magic.
In the same interview, Kajol also spoke fondly of another close friend from the film industry, Karan Johar. 'It's very difficult to maintain relationships in today's date, and Karan Johar is friends with a lot of people. I really admire that about him. It's not easy,' said Kajol.

Jaideep Ahlawat joins Shah Rukh Khan's ‘King', says SRK personally reached out for the role
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has confirmed his role in King, the upcoming action-thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Siddharth Anand. Speaking in a recent interview, Ahlawat shared how he came on board the project, revealing that it was Khan himself who intervened to make it happen. According to Ahlawat, director Siddharth Anand was initially hesitant to offer him the role, considering it a smaller part following Ahlawat's performance in Jewel Thief. 'SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time... But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said, 'I'll talk to him.' Now who could say no to him?' Ahlawat recalled. The actor praised Shah Rukh Khan for his warmth and humility. Recounting their earlier interaction on the sets of Raees, Ahlawat said the superstar always made him feel welcome and valued. 'He's a wonderful human being... Every time I've met him, he's made me feel important,' he added. King, currently in production, marks another collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand after the success of Pathaan. The film also stars Suhana Khan and Saurabh Shukla. While the full cast is yet to be officially announced, reports suggest names like Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Anil Kapoor will be involved. Ahlawat was last seen in Jewel Thief, where his performance as the antagonist drew critical acclaim, particularly for his acting range and unexpected dance sequences. The release date for King has not yet been announced.

Shah Rukh Khan goes on a drive with his dog, spotted with security convoy while filming 'King'
Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently immersed in filming his much-anticipated film 'King', was recently seen enjoying a quiet city ride — accompanied by his dog. The actor, known for his love of privacy, was caught on camera during the outing, much to the excitement of fans. In a video that surfaced online, Shah Rukh is seen seated inside his luxurious Rolls-Royce, casually dressed in a white T-shirt, sunglasses, and a beanie. His furry companion rested comfortably on his lap as the actor briefly peeked out of the car window, flanked by a convoy of security vehicles. However, the moment he noticed paparazzi clicking pictures and fans gathering around, the actor quickly rolled up the windows and drew the curtains to shield himself and his pet from the cameras. This isn't the first time Shah Rukh's dog has caught public attention. Earlier, the actor's pet became a social media sensation when the family returned from a trip to Alibaug. At the time, SRK was seen carrying the pup lovingly as he walked alongside Gauri Khan and their children, AbRam and Suhana Khan. 'King' is one of the most awaited projects in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming slate. Directed by Siddharth Anand — who previously helmed 'Pathaan' — the film will mark SRK's first on-screen collaboration with his daughter, Suhana Khan. The cast also includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, and reportedly Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, and Abhishek Bachchan. Currently under production, 'King' is expected to hit cinemas next year, raising anticipation among fans eager to see the superstar share screen space with his daughter for the very first time.

Shah Rukh Khan Steps Out For A Sunday Drive, His Adorable Pup Steals The Spotlight
Last Updated: Shah Rukh Khan was seen with his dog during a Sunday drive in his Rolls-Royce. It's not every day that Shah Rukh Khan peeks out of his car window—but when he does, even his furry companion steals the spotlight. In a video that's now going viral on social media, the superstar was spotted out for a Sunday drive with a fleet of security convoy following him, accompanied by none other than his adorable pet dog! Dressed casually in a white tee, beanie, and sunglasses, Shah Rukh Khan was seen with his pooch perched on his lap, both of them gazing out through the window of his luxurious Rolls-Royce. The moment was brief but heart-melting. As soon as the actor noticed the swarm of cameras and fans trying to catch a glimpse of him, he gently rolled up the windows and was whisked away by his chauffeur. With Mannat, his iconic sea-facing bungalow, currently undergoing renovation, Shah Rukh Khan has temporarily moved out with wife Gauri Khan and children Suhana and Aryan. Despite the change in address, the King of Bollywood continues to command attention—whether it's at events, film sets, or, as in this case, during an unplanned car moment with his four-legged best friend. As for Shah Rukh Khan's new address, the actor recently rented two luxurious duplex apartments in Pali Hills, Khar West, on a three-year lease. These properties belong to the Bhagnani family, with one apartment, owned by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, leased to Shah Rukh for Rs 11.54 lakh per month, alongside a security deposit of Rs 32.97 lakh. The second apartment, owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani, is rented at Rs 12.61 lakh per month, requiring a Rs 36 lakh deposit. In a recent chat with News18 Showsha, Gauri Khan spoke about how the renovation of Mannat is shaping up. She said that work in her home is currently under progress, and her renovated house should come around in the next one year. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are set to join forces once again for their next ambitious project, King. They worked together in the 2023 film 'Pathaan'. In King, Shah Rukh Khan takes on the titular role, with Suhana Khan playing a key character and Abhishek Bachchan stepping into the antagonist's shoes. It is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix. First Published:
