From one bungalow, thieves made off with Rs40,000 in cash and gold and silver jewellery valued at Rs8.1 lakh. The second bungalow reported stolen articles worth Rs78,000. The thefts came to light when an acquaintance of one of the owners noticed the open main doors of the bungalows.
