Gardai appeal for help tracing identity of three suspects after crime spree
Gardaí are appealing for help tracing the identity of three suspects alleged to have been involved in a pub robbery in Dublin last month. Officers made the appeal on Crimecall following the audacious incidents of burglary in the early hours of Tuesday, May 5, between 2:30am and 4am in Balbriggan. According to authorities, the suspects first arrive at Oldtown in a black Audi Q3 where they reverse to the rear of the warehouse, and gain entry. After they entered the building one of the suspects appeared at a door and looked out towards the car park. While nothing was taken, damage was caused to the property. The suspects then left, turned right and drove north on the R130 arriving into Garristown where they drove to a café and pub. Here the three suspects enter the café and in turn gain entry to the pub through an adjacent door. During the course of the incident the safe's contents were removed from the pub, containing cash and a Rolex watch. The suspects then returned to the Audi, registration number 131C9160, and left Garristown heading north along Main Street towards the N2. This car was taken during a burglary incident five days earlier on April 30 in the Ballinteer area of South Dublin. Earlier in May, Gardaí recovered the suspect car, the Audi Q3, in the Riversdale Grove estate in Palmerstown, West Dublin where it had been parked up for a number of days. Gardaí are now appealing for help in uncovering the identity of the suspects, asking the public if they travelled on R130 between Oldtown and Garristown on the day in question, or if you were offered the Rolex watch. Officers say the first suspect was stockier in build, had a hat, and scarf over face, a bubble jacket with a hood, Logo on left hand side chest of jacket and on back of jacket and tracksuit bottoms with light markings around knee on both sides. Suspect two was also stockier in build, wearing a hood from jumper over head and hooded jacket over jumper, wearing a scarf over face, had a jacket with a mark on the left hand side of chest and tracksuit bottoms with a line on the left thigh Suspect three was slight in build, wearing a baseball cap, and had tracksuit bottoms with draw string can be clearly seen on his tracksuit bottoms along with a logo on the top of the left leg.

Man questioned about Annie McCarrick says 'police are feeding you lies'
A man who was questioned abroad about the Annie McCarrick case has insisted that he and his brother – who was arrested as a suspect – are innocent. Ms McCarrick was 26 years old at the time of her disappearance, and had been living in Ireland after moving to Dublin from the USA in 1993. The American native was last seen on March 26, 1993 with the missing person case being upgraded to a murder investigation on the 30th anniversary of her disappearance. A man who was questioned abroad about the Annie McCarrick case has insisted that he and his brother – who was arrested as a suspect – are innocent. Pic: An Garda Siochana/PA Wire This month, a man was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ms McCarrick, but was released without charge. A search of a property which was the chief suspect's family home at the time of Annie's disappearance is still ongoing. The home was purchased by its current owners within the last 15 years, with the owners having moved out of the residence for the duration of the search. The home was purchased by its current owners within the last 15 years and they have nothing to do with the case. Pic: Sam Boal/Collins Photos It comes not long after it was revealed by that Gardaí had decided to make an arrest after going to another jurisdiction to speak with the brother of their suspect. It is understood that information procured during this interview discredited the suspect's alibi for the day Annie went missing. However, speaking to the Irish Mirror, the man insisted that both he and his brother have nothing to do with Annie's death. It comes not long after it was revealed by that Gardaí had moved to arrest the chief suspect in the McCarrick murder after going to another jurisdiction to speak with a close associate of the man. Pic: An Garda Síochána 'My brother and I have nothing to do with Annie's disappearance,' he stated. 'It was I that reported her missing. I was the first person who made the statement in respect of her disappearance in order that the guards might not spend time worrying or spend time investigating me. 'I would have been one of the first to be ruled out of the investigation and I would have imagined that was the same as my brother.' He added that police were 'feeding you lies' as he confirmed a previous conversation with Gardaí wouldn't have given them 'fresh evidence to go after my brother.' exclusively revealed back in March that an arrest was imminent after the investigating team identified a flaw in the previous case work. Gardaí had been focused on apparent sightings of Annie in Enniskerry and near Johnnie Fox's pub. However, the new investigation team have now all but discounted these 'sightings' and believe they may have led Gardaí away from Ms McCarrick's inner circle and the man they have now identified as their chief suspect.

Man called garda ‘honey bun' and threatened to ‘sort her out' before lunging at her
Martin Gembicky, from Slovakia and of Seville Place, Dublin 1 had denied the charges A cyber security expert called a garda 'honey bun' and threatened to 'sort her out' before lunging at her, grabbing her patrol car keys and trying to get her baton in a 'frightening' struggle. The garda was on duty in Dublin city centre at Christmas and had asked Martin Gembicky (38) to stop loitering when he reacted violently, leaving her in 'complete and utter shock'. Judge Michèle Finan found him guilty of obstruction and threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour, saying Gembicky, who is a linguist, 'got the wrong end of the stick and misinterpreted what was going on'. Martin Gembicky (38). Photo: Collins She told him to pay €2,000 to a garda charity and adjourned the case at Dublin District Court. Gembicky, from Slovakia and of Seville Place, Dublin 1 had denied the charges. The court heard gardaí were on duty on Westmoreland Street at 12.30am on St Stephen's Day. People were loitering outside Circle K and when 'respectfully' told to leave, Gembicky called the gardaí 'f**king assholes' and refused to move on. Martin Gembicky (38). Photo: Collins News in 90 Seconds - Monday June 23 The female garda said Gembicky 'referred to me as honey bun' and that he would 'f**king sort me out'. She was 'not sure what he meant by that' but she was in 'a lot of fear'. He lunged at her, shoving her against the door. Gembicky tried to take the baton from her utility belt, which fell off. He took the car keys off her stab vest. Her colleague pulled Gembicky away and struggled with him. After he was arrested, the accused threatened that he had 'interesting friends in the UK that would sort us out', she said. Gembicky claimed the female garda had told him to stop talking to beggars and was 'aggressive and rude' to him. He maintained she lunged at him to stop him recording her on his phone, then the other garda wrestled him to the ground. Gembicky was also found guilty of unlawful possession of a knife, which he claimed he had as a 'survivalist' for picking mushrooms, and a lockpick set which he maintained was for a hobby. Judge Finan commended both gardaí for their professionalism and 'exemplary' conduct in the incident.
