's bail hearing as proof of political misuse of institutions.

Atishi accused the BJP of using diversion tactics to cover up its failures on the governance front.
"There are long power cuts across Delhi, water shortage in homes while roads remain waterlogged. But instead of solving these issues, the BJP is busy running fake cases to mislead the public," Atishi alleged.
She further charged that the BJP is colluding with the "education mafia" to shut down government schools and promote private institutions.
"They want to shut down Delhi's government schools under the guise of scams that don't exist. Headlines don't prove corruption," she said.
There was no immediate response from the BJP over the allegations.
Hitting out at Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Atishi asked, "Apart from painting mohalla clinics and renaming them health temples, what has she really given to the people of Delhi?"

Naxalism will be completely wiped out from the Country: PM Modi

Bhubaneswar, June 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asserted that Naxalism will be completely eradicated from the country, emphasizing that "this is Modi's guarantee." Addressing the first anniversary celebration of the BJP government in Odisha, the Prime Minister said that at one point, Naxal violence had spread across more than 100 districts in the country, forming what was known as the "Red Corridor." He stated that it was the BJP government that took strong and decisive action against the Naxal insurgents, whose violent activities were obstructing development in tribal regions. Modi noted that the BJP-led government prioritized the development of tribal areas and successfully gained the trust of the tribal population. As a result, Naxal-related violence has significantly declined and is now limited to only 20 districts nationwide. The Prime Minister firmly reiterated that Naxalism will be completely rooted out from the country, adding, "This is Modi's guarantee." UNI DP GNK

Classroom case: ED raids 37 locations in Delhi, seizes 322 bank passbooks

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Delhi Zonal Office conducted search operations at 37 locations across the national Capital under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 in the Delhi classroom construction irregularities case and recovered digital evidence and 322 bank passbooks linked to mule accounts opened in the names of labourers, allegedly to divert government funds. "During the searches, original departmental files belonging to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and rubber stamps of officials of Public Works Department (PWD), various incriminating documents showing fake invoices submitted to GNCTD departments, showing inflated/bogus claims, digital evidence and 322 bank passbooks linked to mule accounts opened in the names of labourers to divert government funds were recovered and seized", said an ED Press statement on Friday. It is pertinent to note here that the ED initiated this investigation on the basis of a First Information Report (FIR) registered by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on April 30, alleging irregularities in the construction of 12,748 classrooms or semi-permanent structures in government schools. On April 30, the ACB registered a FIR against senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ministers Manish Sisodia (the then Education Minister) and Satyendar Jain (the then Public Works Department minister) and others, over alleged corruption in the construction of classrooms. The FIR was pertaining to financial misappropriation exceeding Rs 2,000 crore in the construction of approximately 12,748 additional classrooms by the PWD, between 2015 and 2023. Notably, Manish Sisodia on Friday was questioned for nearly three hours by the ACB over the same case. The former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi left the ACB's office at around 2.40 P.M. after appearing before investigators around noon. While the former education minister accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing investigative agencies for political vendetta, the ACB said that the scam involved inflated costs in the construction of classrooms and school buildings under the Delhi government.

It's an anniversary of good governance: PM Modi on 1 year completion of Odisha govt

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated Mohan Charan Manjhi-led government and the people of Odisha on the completion of one year of BJP government in the state and explained how the new dispensation ushered in a new era of growth, unlike previous regimes which ignored the residents and focused only on enriching themselves. PM Modi, addressing the public gathering after a grand roadshow to mark first anniversary of the BJP government, said that the double-engine government was bringing double benefits to the coastal state and also elaborated on two key Central schemes - brought with the primary objective of improving the living standards of tribal population. 'June 20 is a very special day. Today, the first BJP government in Odisha has successfully completed one year. This anniversary is not just of the government; it is the anniversary of the establishment of good governance. This one year is dedicated to public service and public trust. This is a glorious year of honest efforts to live up to the trust of crores of voters of Odisha,' PM Modi said. PM Modi also spoke about his Canada visit for G-7 Summit and said that he chose Odisha over America. 'When I was in Canada, I received a call from President Trump. He invited for dinner while returning home. I declined his invite and told him that it was important for me to visit the sacred land of Odisha and pay obeisance to Lord Jagannath,' PM Modi told the crowd, eliciting loud cheers. Elaborating on the double benefits under the double-engine government, PM Modi said: 'People of the state were long deprived of many health schemes --- today they are availing benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana as well as Jan Aarogya Yojana. More than 23 lakh senior citizens above the age of 70 years, they are also drawing benefits under Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana.' PM Modi said that the nation has seen the Congress model for years, which offered nothing other than corruption, policy paralysis, the sprouting of middlemen but in BJP-ruled states, a new model of growth took shape, which is oriented towards public welfare. He also cited the model of Assam and Tripura, elucidating how the two states suffered during previous regimes but their fate and growth prospects changed after the BJP came to power there. PM Modi further said that prior to 2014, tribal communities neither got development nor participation in governance. The country had more than 125 tribal areas, all affected by the Maoist violence but instead of finding a solution, previous governments only sought to discredit them by labelling them as 'Maoist-affected'. PM Modi vowed to defeat LWE and said that hopes and dreams of tribal population will be brought to fruition. 'Two national schemes have been launched to bring all-round development of the backward as well as the tribal population and they will immensely benefit the residents here,' PM Modi remarked.
