The supermarket is offering shoppers the chance to borrow a reusable coffee cup so they can redeem their free coffee when shopping as part of a new trial.

Shoppers will have seven days to return the cup to a designated collection point or they will be charged a £3 penalty.
The trial will reduce plastic waste as part of a 'circular' system.
The scheme will be available in nine branches before it can be rolled out more widely.
It is understood that its store in Newark is one of the shops taking part in the trial.
To 'Borrow a Free Cup' shoppers will need to tap their MyWaitrose card.
They can then fill the cup from Waitrose's hot drinks machine as usual.
A Waitrose spokesperson said: 'We're currently conducting a reusable cup trial in nine of our branches - it kicked off this week and is available for MyWaitrose members to use when redeeming their free coffee, or for our cafe customers to use if purchasing one.'
Shoppers who bring their own cup will still be able to claim their free coffee.
The only requirement for the reusable cups is that they fit under the nozzle of the self-service coffee machine.
What other changes has Waitrose made in store?
The move is the latest update to the supermarket's free hot drink offer after it changed its free coffee terms and conditions in January.
Shopper reveals the 'best time' to hit Waitrose for yellow sticker bargains, as she bags strawberries and milk for 69p
Previously the posh supermarket only offered the free drink to shoppers who bought something in store first.
This is the same rule as was initially brought in when the deal was first launched in 2013.
Shoppers still needed to bring a reusable cup in order to bag the freebie.
Waitrose brought back the free coffee perk in October 2022 after it was axed in 2017 to cut costs.
Supermarket loyalty schemes - which has one?
MOST UK supermarkets have loyalty schemes so customers can build up points and save money while they shop.
Here we round up what saving programmes you'll find at the big brands. Iceland: Unlike other stores, you don't collect points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, you load it up with money and Iceland will give you £1 for every £20 you save.

Waitrose: myWaitrose also doesn't allow you to collect points but instead you'll get access to free hot drinks, and discounts off certain brands in store.
Supermarket staff handed out cups to customers after they had paid for their shopping and there was no minimum spend.
The move left some members fuming while others criticised it and pointed out that you could buy a small item, such as a banana, to get the free drink.
Last August Waitrose trialled recyclable disposable coffee cups in ten of its stores.
It originally removed disposable cups from its stores in 2018 to reduce waste.
The change meant that only shoppers who brought their own cup could claim their free coffee.

Named by Which? to be the UK's cheapest supermarket for the last four years, many Brits love heading down the shopping aisles of Aldi to swipe up some bargains. While selling all your must-have food essentials at decent prices, the supermarket is also known for its variety of home products, such as kitchen appliances and pilates machines. As the fourth largest supermarket in the UK, the German company also has a wide range of seasonal stock on offer that will get shoppers through the warm summer months. From bbq's to a range of fruity drinks and ice creams to keep us cool, shoppers will quickly find their own store favourites. For those who are regular Aldi shoppers, one employee has taken to TikTok to share the item he believes to be the 'best ever' product he has tried at the supermarket, reports the Mirror. Dylan McCormack has become popular on social media for making videos that highlight some of the products that the store has to offer every week. Many fans of his content also look forward to when he shares what is in the famous middle section of the supermarket. In a recent video, however, he chose to share with his followers what he believes is the best product in the entire supermarket. It also comes with the added bonus of being the perfect treat for summer. He said: "As you know, I work for Aldi. And the best products that I've ever tried at Aldi is in the freezer section. Once he arrived at the freezer section, the 25-year-old turned the camera to show off two flavours of gelato. He said: "It's hands down, the best product I've ever had from Aldi is the tiramisu gelato. Closely followed by the lemon meringue gelato." Price at £2.49 per tub in Aldi, these gelatos will offer shoppers a sweet and refreshing treat to help keep them cool as temperatures rise this month. He added: "They're absolutely stunning. Like, genuinely, these are so, so good. I could not recommend these any more. "If you've tried this new gelato in Aldi, let me know in the comments. Because I genuinely believe that this is fire." Many Aldi shoppers took to the comments section to share they that agreed with Dylan's assessment that the gelatos are the best product in the shop. One person said: "Not tried the gelato, but may have 'accidentally ' eaten half a tub of the chilled tiramisu in one go." Another person was intrigued to try the items, writing: "Will buy and try next time I go in." While a third shopper also added: "I knew it was going to be this when you said it! It feels like it's from Waitrose or M&S. I would love a pistachio one." However, other people had a different opinion on the best Aldi product. One person said: "King kebab is the best thing." While another TikTok user argued: "Wrong! The chicken spring rolls in the freezer section. Gimme." Another shopper stepped away from the freezer section and instead wrote: "The vanilla latte sachets .. 8 for just over a quid are unbeatable. Add half a spoon of coffee, dash of milk. It's been my go to for years." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today.
