Egypt's Grand Mufti Commends Egyptian Initiative for Gaza Reconstruction

Dr. Nazir Mohammad Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, lauded the Egyptian initiative adopted at the emergency Arab summit in Cairo for the reconstruction of Gaza.
The Grand Mufti described the initiative as a historic milestone that reinforces Arab unity in defending the rights of the Palestinian people and restores the Palestinian cause to its rightful place at the heart of the Arab and Islamic collective consciousness.
He held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling on the international community to take urgent action to halt ongoing violations and uphold international legitimacy.
He reaffirmed Dar Al-Ifta's unwavering support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, considering it a religious, moral, and humanitarian obligation.
Dr. Ayyad concluded by urging Arab and Islamic nations, along with the international community, to intensify their support for the Palestinian people, expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid, and bolster Egyptian efforts to rebuild Gaza, ensuring a definitive end to the recurring Israeli aggression.

Jordanian King, UK PM Starmer Discuss De-escalation, Regional Stability

Nada Mustafa Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Badr Abdelatty, held two separate phone calls on Saturday with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The calls were part of ongoing consultation and coordination in light of the rapidly escalating situation in the region, particularly the military confrontation between Israel and Iran and its serious implications for regional peace and security. The three ministers emphasized the urgent need to halt military escalation and establish a ceasefire, stressing that political and diplomatic solutions are the only viable paths out of the current crisis to preserve the region's security and stability.
