Shah Rukh Khan
and
Gauri Khan
had an interfaith marriage and they fell in love when Gauri was just in the 9th grade. Shah Rukh was in grade 12th that time. As they started liking each other so young, Gauri's brother Vikrant Chibber was very possessive about her and hence used to threaten SRK for looking at his sister.
It was a warning to him to not cause harm to Gauri.
Shah Rukh had spoken about it once in an interview with
Kapil Sharma
and revealed that he used to also threaten him with a gun. "Wo apne aap ko school ka bada dada samjhte the. Wo jab milta tha gundagardi dikhate the. Mai unse tameez se milta tha. Ek baar usne mujhe bola tereko maloom hai katta kya hota hai? Maine kaha nahi ji mujhe nahi maloom katta kya hota hai, mujhe maloom tha.'
SRK revealed that he was always polite to him, considering he was Gauri's brother.
Meanwhile, Gauri had revealed that her parents were initially against their interfaith wedding but later, they were convinced by Shah Rukh Khan. She had also changed his name to Abhinav during their dating phase so that they think he's a Hindu.
Gauri said, "We were so young and then to take a decision to get married and to a person who is going to join films, and being from a different religion. We changed his name to Abhinav so they feel he is a Hindu boy but that was really silly and very childish," she told
Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla
on their show First Ladies.

Symphony of flavours & emotions at Tuya

Chef Suresh DC's journey from a passionate culinary enthusiast to a celebrated chef is a testament to his commitment to both innovation and tradition. An award-winning culinary maestro, he is acclaimed for his inventive flair in transforming familiar dishes into extraordinary gastronomic experiences. Fuelled by an unwavering passion for food, Chef Suresh has earned global recognition — featured in The World's 50 Best Discoveries and ranked as the 16th Best Chef by the prestigious Culinary Culture Awards, which celebrate India's finest culinary talent. Now, he brings his dream project, Tuya, to Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills. In a conversation with CE, Chef Suresh shares what Tuya truly represents, his deep-rooted connection to his heritage, and his firm belief that South Indian cuisine deserves a larger spotlight on the global stage. Excerpts Tell us about Tuya. It means 'pure' in Tamil. It was a long-time dream. Like many chefs, right after college, the goal is to open your own restaurant. Unfortunately, that dream doesn't come true for many, but I was passionate. I always wanted to serve pure, authentic food. By authentic, I mean flavour-wise. But in terms of presentation, since I trained in European kitchens for six years, I try to bring those techniques to the food I grew up currently have 102 seats. It's actually pretty massive. Initially, I wanted a small space with a one-page menu. But the market here demanded a bigger menu, so I decided not to take that risk. What kind of food can people expect at Tuya? You'll find familiar local dishes, but reimagined. For instance, we have Sarva Pindi, but made with avocado. Then there's Muntha Masala, instead of the usual mirchi bhajji, we've done it with a Gongura tempura twist. We also serve a Hazelnut Pootharekulu. So the idea is to take favourites and improvise — make them fun, yet rooted.

Prosenjit Chatterjee supports Aamir Khan's cinema-only release for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par': Aamir can take risk

Aamir Khan 's much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par hit theatres on June 20, and in a bold move, the superstar has chosen to release it exclusively in cinemas, skipping an OTT release entirely. This decision has sparked mixed reactions in the industry. In an interview with actor Prosenjit Chatterjee shared his thoughts on Aamir's choice. He acknowledged that while such changes are necessary in today's evolving film landscape, it takes someone with Aamir's experience and understanding of cinema to confidently take that kind of risk. Prosenjit Chatterjee on Aamir Khan's Bold Move Prosenjit Chatterjee said that Aamir Khan's decision to release 'Sitaare Zameen Par' only in theatres is a bold step. He believes that while this may not change everything right away, it's important that someone takes the first step. He also said there's no good or bad way to release a film, what matters is trying something new. "I remember long back when content would be sold to CD companies, and it paid producers handsomely. However, after a year or two, I realised that the CDs were already in the market in a few days, and the theatre business was getting affected. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo So I called up all the producers for a meeting and we jointly decided that while the rights would be sold off, we need to have a gap of a good 9-12 weeks. All producers came together, and things changed to a certain level," the Bengali actor said. Chatterjee Sees a Similar Trend from the Past Chatterjee mentioned that he had seen a similar pattern in the past when films first started premiering on television. "In three or four weeks, they would start playing Bengali and even Hindi films on television. So, we stopped that and said let's give it after eight weeks. To save the theatrical business and cinema, he (Aamir Khan) is a person who can think this way or take this kind of risk. Nothing will change, a film will come on OTT and then on satellite television. That's how it works, that's how we reach our Indian audiences. But let's see how this goes (Sitaare Zameen Par's only-cinema model), and I hope it works." Aamir Khan Returns with a Heartwarming Film Marking his comeback after three years, Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has received a warm response from both critics and audiences. Directed by RS Prasanna and also starring Genelia Deshmukh , the film is seen as a spiritual sequel to 'Taare Zameen Par', focusing on a heartfelt story involving children. SRK and Salman Show Support at the Premiere On June 19, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan joined Aamir Khan at the film's premiere. The two superstars were seen warmly interacting with the young cast members, fondly called the 'sitaare', making the evening even more special.
