, recalling how she had to shut down the actor with a bold response during the shoot of their film Prem Bandhan. The comment in question related to her pregnancy at the time, when Khanna allegedly questioned the paternity of her unborn child, asking if it was her husband Jayanta Mukherjee's or actor
Vinod Mehra
's.
In an interview with Nayandeep Rakshith, Moushumi shared that people often underestimated her resilience. 'People used to get angry because I was never bothered so much. They used to be like, chalo time mila toh isko cheddte hain, so I used to give it back,' she said.
'He thought it was fun, but I gave it back'
She added, 'He thought that is fun. A lot of people who pass nasty remarks don't realise that they are actually showing what they are.
You come from that surrounding. Nobody thought I can give it back. I was always like that. I never cared if you are a superhero or super heroine or anything like that.'
Moushumi also emphasized that her respect was not based on someone's stardom. 'If you are super, even while working as a spot boy, salute from me,' she said, reinforcing her belief in dignity over celebrity status.
