Josh Duhamel reveals the 'therapy' he goes through so he can 'stay young' for his wife

Perth Now14-06-2025

Josh Duhamel has started testosterone replacement therapy so he can "stay young" for his wife.
The 52-year-old actor - who has been married to former Miss World Audra Mari, 31, since 2022 and has 17-month-old son Shepherd with her - decided that the best way to achieve an "overall wellness" in his life was to boost his natural hormones.
He told Men's Health Lab: "It's important for her that I stay as young and virile for as long as I can.
'I think that there is an overall wellness, you know, just for just for those purposes alone…
"Just having that energy, that that that desire to go out and achieve, be a better dad, be a better brother, be a better friend, be a better business owner, you don't taper off like you would normally—and I think that that's also one of the benefits of it, mentally and physically.
"I'd been hearing about this for a while—about testosterone replacement therapy—and it was one of those things that I didn't want to talk about, neither did anybody I was asking about it.
"And I think that it was just, I took an inventory, a personal inventory, of how I was feeling, and I knew that I wasn't quite where I was at five, 10, years before. That's when I got myself tested, and realized my levels were low, and that's when I decided to start doing it."
The Transformers star - who was previously married to Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and has 11-year-old son Axl with her - has got his "mojo back" with his new tratement, and has found that it is all about "being around for [his] kids" and still being able to do things with them as he get older.
He said: "It's just one of those things that just changed my world. I literally got my mojo back. And now it's become, not so much about the aesthetics of it, as much as it is being around for my kids and being able to roll around the dirt with them like I could have when I was younger."

Transformers One gets disappointing update from director Josh Cooley

Transformers One director Josh Cooley has said a sequel isn't happening. The 46-year-old filmmaker had helmed the 2024 flick for Paramount Animation, though Cooley has now said the studio is "not interested" in making a follow-up to Transformers One. Speaking on a panel at the Transformers convention BotCon, the director said: 'I wish I had something to announce, but I do not. What I've been told is that Paramount Animation is not interested in making a sequel. 'That's what I was told. I wish we could. I have ideas, too. So it would have been cool. We'll see what happens. You never know.' Transformers One - which stars Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry and Jon Hamm - explores the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron as allies on Cybertron before a rift turned them into enemies. As war brews, their choices shape the fate of their world - and the future of all Transformers. When Transformers One released in September, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura teased the film could be the start of a trilogy. When Collider asked di Bonaventura and Cooley if a trilogy was possible, the producer said: 'I don't think anything's changed for us. 'The truth of the matter is you never get to the second movie unless everybody shows up at the box office. We both said to ourselves, 'This is way too hard to make one good movie to start thinking a lot about the second movie.'' While the picture was received well by critics, Transformers One had a disappointing performance at the box office. On a production budget of roughly $75 million, Transformers One pulled in $129.4 million, making it one of the lowest-grossing movies in the franchise. Di Bonaventura – who has been attached to the Transformers series since 1986's The Transformers: The Movie – teased Transformers One had several plot threads about Optimus Prime (Hemsworth) and Megatron (Henry) that could easily be picked up in a future film. He said: 'Along the way, there were ideas that we were like, 'Well, that can't fit in here. Let's hold onto that. Let's not forget that idea.' Although I'm sure we've forgotten some of them.' Cooley agreed and added they were definitely playing with the idea of making sequels to Transformers One, but emphasised that he and di Bonaventura were going to wait to 'see what happens' with the movie. He said: 'I can't help but ... Yes, we were thinking of this one story for this moment, for this movie, but it's about towards the last year of a film where I can't help but go like, 'Well, how would this [to] naturally progress?' 'So we've got some ideas, we talked about a few things, and we'll see what happens.'

Miss World contestant pulls out of pageant over ‘uncomfortable' duties

A Miss World contestant has dramatically quit the pageant over claims organisers paraded her around like a 'performing monkey' and made her feel extremely 'uncomfortable'. Milla Magee, 24, made history as the first Miss England to quit the contest in its 74-year run, The Sun reported. The beauty queen has said that while visiting India to attend a publicity event for the annual contest, the Miss World contestants had to wear ball gowns all day, even during breakfast. But her final straw with the contest was when she was allegedly asked to entertain middle-aged businessmen at tables as a 'thank you' for the money they had put into the show, the New York Post reports. 'We were expected to sit with them for the whole evening and entertain them as a thank you,' she told the UK newspaper. 'I found that unbelievable. I remember thinking, 'This is so wrong.' I didn't come here to be farmed out for people's entertainment. 'Miss World is supposed to have the same values, but it's outdated and stuck in the past. They made me feel like a prostitute.' Magee said that at one point, she tried to talk about the causes she was supporting, but said 'it was obvious the men at the table were not interested'. 'Instead, there was weird small-talk that left me feeling uncomfortable… We were there to please these people and sit like performing monkeys. I couldn't stand it,' she fumed. Magee even said organisers berated contestants for being 'boring' and claimed one clapped her hands in her face. 'She clapped her hands right in my face to get my attention and as a signal for people to listen to her… It was so disrespectful, like she was addressing children rather than a coach full of adult women,' she told the outlet. On May 16, Magee quit the contest and flew home to Cornwall — allowing runner-up Charlotte Grant, 25, the current Miss Liverpool, to take her place. It is believed to be the first time since the contest began in 1951 that Miss England contestant has quit. The 24-year-old previously advocated to scrap Miss World's swimwear round and allow contestants to be judged on life-saving skills like chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Magee is a trained lifeguard and strong advocate for CPR education after a personal tragedy left her family helpless during an emergency. Angie Beasley, director of Miss England, announced Magee's departure for 'personal reasons.' 'We regret to announce that Milla Magee has returned home to the UK due to personal reasons,' Beaseley said, according to the outlet. 'We stand fully by her decision — health must always come first.'
