Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Saturday that the military had killed a veteran commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' overseas arm, in a strike in an apartment in Iran's Qom province.
The commander, Saeed Izadi, led the Palestine Corps of the overseas arm, or Quds Force, Katz said in a statement.

The Israeli military later said that it killed a second commander of the Guards' overseas arm, who it identified as Benham Shariyari, during a strike on his vehicle overnight in western Tehran.
It said the commander 'was responsible for all weapons transfers from the Iranian regime to its proxies across the Middle East'.
Shariyari supplied missiles and rockets launched at Israel to Hezbollah, Hamas and Yemen's Houthis, according to the Israeli military.
There was no confirmation from the IRGC on the killing of the two commanders.
The Quds Force built up a network of Arab allies known as the
Axis of Resistance,
establishing Hezbollah in Lebanon in 1982 and supporting the Palestinian militant Islamist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
But the Iran-aligned network has suffered major blows over the last two years, as Israeli offensives since Hamas' October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel have weakened both the Palestinian group and Hezbollah.
Katz said Izadi financed and armed Hamas during the initial attacks, describing the commander's killing as a 'major achievement for Israeli intelligence and the Air Force'.

Iran warns: Any country that supplies Israel with arms is a legitimate target
Iranian Armed Forces Spokesman was quoted as that 'any country that is sending military equipment to Israel is considered as complicit in the aggression and a legitimate target for us' The spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters, affiliated with the Iranian Armed Forces, stated in a televised speech that, 'Based on the intelligence of the Iranian Armed Forces, the aggressive Zionist regime—despite possessing the most modern and expensive air defense systems in the world, and with comprehensive support from the United States—has lost a significant portion of its radar and defensive capabilities as a result of the effective and painful strikes launched by the Iranian Armed Forces' missile and drone units, and is now facing a shortage of ammunition and military equipment.' He noted, 'In this context, we warn that the sending of any military equipment or radar systems by sea or air by any country with the aim of supporting the Zionist regime will be considered as complicity in the aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and will be considered a legitimate target for the Islamic Republic's Armed Forces.' This comes as Israeli attacks on Iranian territory continue, while the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has responded to Israel with waves of missiles and drones since June 13. ELNASHRA

Israel-Iran war live: ‘No nuclear material' at Iran centrifuge workshop hit by Israel, IAEA says
The UN nuclear watchdog confirmed Saturday that an Israeli strike had hit a centrifuge manufacturing workshop at Iran's Isfahan nuclear site, but said that the attack would have 'no radiological consequences' due to the lack of nuclear material at the site. SUMMARY The Israeli military Saturday said it launched a fresh wave of strikes on Saturday in the area of southern Iran's Bandar Abbas, targeting drones storage sites and a weapons facility. As Israel continues to strike Iran's nuclear facilities and military targets, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar claimed said in an interview that by his country's own assessment, it had 'already delayed for at least two or three years the possibility for them to have a nuclear bomb'.Loud blasts were heard Saturday in the Iranian capital, AFP journalists said, as fighting raged between the two foes for the ninth day. It was not immediately clear whether the blasts heard in central and northern Tehran were the result of incoming Israeli strikes or Iranian air defence fire.
