Glastonbury headliner that doesn't exist has fans guessing at surprise artist
A mystery act called Patchwork will play the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, but who are they? Fans take a guess at who the unknown artist could be, with theories including Lorde, Haim and Oasis
The Glastonbury surprise headline is set to return this summer after the festival 's full timetable was revealed, with one act causing a wave of questions online. Why? Because nobody has heard of them!
The mysterious Patchwork have been honoured on 2025's line-up: third line down on Saturday night's main Pyramid Stage. Fans, waiting in excitement, took to searching for the 'new' band, only to realise... they do not exist.
The fake band name represents a mystery headliner, as seen in 2023 after The ChurnUps - completely unheard of - appeared on that year's Pyramid bill, only to be revealed on stage as the Foo Fighters.
In a wave of speculation, fans started investigating the real identity of Patchwork. We've pulled together a list of the most talked about contenders for who Patchwork could be.
Lorde
Surprisingly not on the bill after her 'bratty' return, Lorde has launched herself back onto the charts with new song What Was That and iconic feature on Charli XCX's Girl, So Confusing.
Celebrating it's one year anniversary, perhaps Patchwork will reveal the two popstars "working it out on the remix," but this time on the Pyramid stage. Lorde told BBC Radio 2's Jo Whiley this week she's "pretty keen" to return to Glastonbury's fields, while Charli is scheduled for another performance at 22:30 - 23:45. So, it's feasible the two could run to the main stage for the 18:00 - 19:00 Patchwork slot.
Haim
The American sister trio were deemed a strong contender by the BBC as they have both a new album and performance planned in Margate for Glastonbury's Friday. It is likely then for them to travel down to the Southern fields for Saturday's evening stage.
Intriguingly, a few fans on X have have uncovered a German novel called Patchwork, 2011, by the author Sylvia Haim, along with a 2015 film on a young group of three women. X user, Tim Street, wrote: "My literary wife has pointed out that Patchwork is a novel by Sylvia Haim, suggesting the Saturday pyramid slot is none other than @HAIMtheband...."
Whilst there's a solid possibility of the sister-band, Sylvia Haim, unfortunately, is not a long-lost relative.

Robbie Williams
The BBC article also offered up the ex-Take That star as a potential Patchwork, including his new release of album Britpop as evidence. With his album's artwork featuring an old image of Williams playing at Glastonbury in 1995 - and the star's tour making headlines for taking over the Emirates stadium last week - it is easy to believe the Angels singer will appear... if it weren't for his tour show in Werchter, Belgium on June 28, Glastonbury's Saturday.
Oasis
Others have shared their hopes that Glastonbury's Pyramid stage may continue the Oasis reunion, believing the Gallagher brothers to launch their 'patching-up' early before their concert. This might be the wildest fan theory and, again, very unlikely considering Robbie's tour and the Oasis reunion occurring a week after the festival.
Pulp
The British pop icons who performed a secret set in 2011, have recently released their first album after 24 years. Fans have highlighted the huge gap in the band's schedule, conveniently around the Glastonbury period.
An observational bunch also pinpointed the fact that, during an appearance on BBC Radio 2, band keyboardist, Candida Doyle, mentioned her love for her hobby: patchworking. And although their spokesperson has stated Pulp is not the mystery act, we have to wonder: are they bluffing?

The countdown for Glastonbury has officially begun - at least for those lucky enough to have secured their tickets to the UK's largest music festival. Every year, thousands of revellers descend on Worthy Farm - following a heated bid for tickets - to catch some of the world's biggest musical acts live on stage. For most, a stacked line-up is reason enough to endure muddy wellies and compost loos while sharing cramped tents pitched on the festival grounds. Those with deeper pockets, however, might find themselves swayed by more premium glamping experiences offered by The Pop Up Hotel - located 10 minutes from the festival site and not affiliated to Glastonbury. The most luxurious among them is a stay at the Tipi Tenthouse Suite that can accommodate up to 10 people and costs an eyewatering £28,999 to book for a five-day stay. Not a stinky loo in sight, the sprawling tent features real beds, en-suite showers, flushing loos, and all-important power sockets for charging up devices. It is fully equipped with fresh bedding and linen, toiletries, fluffy towels, hanging rails for guests' festival-ready outfits, carpeted floors, and deck chairs to unwind in. And this year, The Pop Up Hotel has expanded its offerings for guests at its boutique tents - including the Tipi Tenthouse - to include access to a Sephora salon that will put the 'glam' in 'glamping'. Guests will be able to book on-site hair and makeup sessions with pros or, if they prefer, get Glastonbury ready at the self-serve beauty stations stocked with with complimentary tools and 2025's most viral products. They will have access to a 24-hour bar, serving up a selection of delicious cocktails made with premium spirits such as George Clooney's tequila brand Casamigos, and multiple fine-dining options. Instead of waiting in line for a burger, The Pop Up Hotel's inhabitants can treat themselves to fabulous meals at an all-new al fresco restaurant, an a la carte restaurant or a 24-hour deli. As well as having a snug bed to cosy up into each night, hotel guests will be able to luxuriate in the swimming pool, indulge in spa facilities, and revitalise their festival weary bodies by booking bespoke IV infusions and compression therapy sessions. Curated wellness sessions as well as lively pool parties are both on offer at the hotel, so guests can spend their time away from Worthy Farm either recovering from all the action - or hyping themselves up for another day at Glastonbury. They will also be provided with a personal concierge as well as dedicated customer service teams, luggage and buggy service and 24-hour private security for guests' privacy. Prices for the accommodation start at £2,999 for five nights for a Classic Room, which is priced for two but can host up to four people. The Tipi Tenthouse Suite is the hotel's most indulgent offering and will set its inhabitants back by £28,999 for the duration of the festival. With tickets to Glastonbury notoriously difficult to get, however, most fans will have to contend with watching the festival from their own homes. Hopefuls were left fuming on Sunday after resale tickets sold out within minutes as organisers noted an 'incredible demand' for passes - especially since they'll have to wait until 2027 to try again. Final sales for the popular music festival were available on Sunday, but due to popular demand were gone within just 20 minutes. The official X account for Glastonbury posted an announcement after fans were furious at not being able to snap up tickets last weekend. 'On a morning of incredible demand, all of the tickets in today's resale have now been sold,' the post read. 'Thank you to everyone who bought one, and sorry to those who missed out.' Fans seemed to be gutted about the new system, with many suggesting it affected their chances at grabbing tickets for the extravaganza at Worthy Farm. Last November, festival bosses announced changes to its booking process, with the introduction of an automatic queue system. Rather than refreshing a holding page, they will be 'randomly assigned a place in the queue' once tickets are available, meaning people who join later will automatically be placed at the back of the line. The system is similar to the one used for major concerts by Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Oasis. By cutting out the need to constantly refresh the website, it reduces the load on the ticketing system and may even speed up the process for users. As in previous years, fans need to be registered for tickets in advance. Taking to X, one person wrote: 'You're not sorry! I'm sorry, actually crying here. Gutted isn't the word. Well done bots.' Another disappointed fan said: 'Please reinstate the old system for 2027. This year has been ridiculous. 4 tries and didn't get anywhere near close.' During last year's edition of the iconic festival, organiser Emily Eavis confirmed that 2026 will be a fallow year 'to let the land rest'. This means festival-goers who missed out on tickets for this year's edition of will have to wait 24 months for another opportunity to attend. 'The festival before a fallow year is always a fun one to plan, because you almost have to fit two years into one,' Emily told The Sun at the time. 'It's got to be the best one yet. Every single one of our vast, incredible crew is crucial to making this event work.' This year's headliners include English pop-rock band The 1975, US pop-punk songwriter Olivia, and legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young. VIP all-inclusive Butlin's Minehead experience review
We arrived at the seaside town of Minehead in Somerset, ready and raring to go, after breaking up the journey on the way down from Bury with a lovely overnight stay in Droitwich Spa just off the M5. The site is right on the coast and we were soon through the drive-through check-in and checking out our seafront apartment which was a perfect base for a family-of-four. Our Butlin's Minehead Bayside Apartment living area and bedroom (Image: NQ) But you don't come to Butlin's to sit around, and we were soon out and exploring all the site had to offer us for our four-night stay. The great thing about Butlin's is that a lot of things are already included in the price, so you don't have to worry about how many times the kids want to go on the fairground rides, in the soft play or the vast swimming pool, as well as regular shows on the Skyline Stage. Extreme Mountain Bike Show on the Skyline Stage (Image: NQ) There are also more activities than you'd have time to fit in, at an extra cost, such as mini archery (£6), laser tag (£15), high ropes (£13) and pottery painting (from £10). We also had an Action Pass each (£22pp), which we used towards two games of bowling, a game of American pool, and one go on the Go-Karts. Unless you know you're going to make use of every single pass, I'm not sure these are worth the extra cost. The kids didn't manage to make it onto the bungee trampolines as the queues seemed to shift slowly. Bowling; party night at Reds; a full house of 1,500 in Studio 36 for The Masked Singer and Hotshots sports bar at Butlin's Minehead (Image: NQ) Which brings me nicely onto something I thought was an absolute game-changer – the Early Access VIP (from £29pp) pass that allows you to book onto shows three days before everyone else and entry 15 minutes before the rest. The shows at Butlin's really are first-class and it was wonderful not worrying about whether we would be stuck at the back, with little ones getting bored as they couldn't see the stage properly. On our first night, we were treated to a wonderful show called Animals and Mythical Beasts by The Animal Guyz whose motto is learning through laughter. Part comedy, part educational and all about the wonder of animals, it was a delight of a show. A packed crowd enjoying Animals and Mythical Beasts (Image: NQ) Later in the week, 1,500 people packed into Studio 36 for a live version of The Masked Singer for which we had a prime spot. The show was hosted by YouTuber Nathan Connor, bringing all the elaborate costumes and ridiculous guesses from Saturday night TV to a delighted live audience whooping 'Take it off!' I won't spoil the surprise of who the two celebrities underneath the masks were but, let's just say, I was not disappointed and recognised them instantly… Another highlight was Meet the Gladiators, for which a huge queue started forming well before the event was due to open. The reboot of the '90s favourite has been delighting a new generation of fans and excitement was building in the huge venue as the host asked eager holidaymakers which Gladiators they thought would grace the stage. Much to the delight of the crowd, it was Dynamite and Sabre – purring, 'I can't wait to meet the dads,' – who were unveiled. Sabre on the big screen at Butlin's (Image: NQ) Families waited patiently to get photos with the glam pair, with snaps taken by a professional photographer at a cost of £8. A great price for something that is sure to be a lovely keepsake for many. After all that excitement, it was time for a tipple or two for which the All Inclusive Drinks Package had us more than covered. There was a range of drinks included, from pints of Madri, to wine, spirits and mixers and soft drinks for the kids. We also enjoyed Premium Dining (£32.95 per adult, per day) which includes all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner options in a choice of two eateries – The Deck and The Yacht Club. More: 'Stay at top-rated hotel and spa left me feeling on cloud nine' Dining options - The Yacht Club and, the one we preferred, The Deck, where there are fresh food stations (Image: NQ) While The Yacht Club was more of a canteen style, we much preferred The Deck which had service stations offering food such as freshly-cooked omelettes for breakfast and pasta, burgers made to order and Chinese options in the evening. The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay and it was lovely waking up each morning to the sounds of the sea. The bed probably wasn't the comfiest I've ever slept in but, after full-on days, falling asleep certainly wasn't a problem. Some of the park could probably do with a refresh but the kids certainly didn't notice or care. If you're the kind of person who lets something needing a lick of paint spoil your holiday, then Butlin's probably isn't for you. After a full-on and action-packed week, it was time to hit the road and head home. Holiday traffic meant it took seven hours on the return journey so I think my next Butlin's port of call will be the closer-to-home Skegness – once I've recovered from May half term.
