Three inspirational guest speakers will take the stage at a special event in County Durham to mark International Women's Day.
Sue Snowdon, the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, will host the event, titled 'A World of Inspiration', at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on March 8.
The speakers include Nigerian-born Doncaster artist, curator, and advisor Chinwe Russell; Professor Azadeh Fatehrad, a multi-disciplinary scholar at Teesside University; and Sarah Price, head of Locomotion at the Science Museum Group.

The event will also feature two new exhibitions - '20 Historical Women Who Changed The World' and 'Inspirational Women of Durham'.
The first exhibition, displayed in Bishop Auckland Town Hall's main gallery, provides an insight into the lives of women whose work has significantly impacted the contemporary world.
This collection, from Chinwe Russell, includes well-known figures such as Marie Curie, Elizabeth I, and Florence Nightingale, along with many lesser-known women whose works continue to shape people's daily lives.

The second exhibition, 'Inspirational Women of Durham', will be displayed in the venue's Strong Room gallery space.
It features five larger-than-life portraits of women from County Durham who have been inspirational within their communities.
These include the county's current Lord Lieutenant, Sue Snowdon, and 18th-century pub landlady Elsie Marley, who inspired a song that is still sung today.
The portraits were created by artist Jilly Johnson with help from the team at Durham County Council's heritage and registration venue, The Story.

The exhibition also includes a soundscape by Marie Gardiner featuring the voices of County Durham women.
Councillor Elizabeth Scott, Durham County Council's cabinet member for economy and partnerships, said: "International Women's Day is an opportunity for us all to reflect on the achievements of women who have shaped the world in which we live today.
"But it's not just about looking back; it's about looking forward and considering how we can continue to strive for gender equality.
"It's about inspiring people of all genders to follow their dreams and shining a light on the opportunities that exist.
"The speakers taking part in this event bring a wealth of experience and unique perspectives, and we are looking forward to welcoming them to Bishop Auckland Town Hall."
Chinwe Russell, one of the speakers, is a renowned artistic visionary and industry leader who captivates audiences with her distinctive, emotionally evocative, big, bold narrative art.
She is a force in the community, passionately advocating for active involvement in the visual arts.
Professor Azadeh Fatehrad, another speaker, is a professor of art and public policy at Teesside University.
Her work investigates the complexities of gender, identity, and representation through a unique combination of research, artistic practice, and curatorial projects.
Sarah Price, the third speaker, has been head of Locomotion in Shildon since August 2018.
In the last six years, she has led the transformation of the museum, including a wide range of capital projects.
She is committed to ensuring that Locomotion becomes a place of inspiration for young and old alike, particularly this year as people all over the world celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway.
The event, 'A World of Inspiration', starts at 10am on March 8, with tickets priced at £3.
The exhibitions, '20 Historical Women Who Changed The World' and 'Inspirational Women of Durham', will run from March 1 to May 24.

Where is KayDianna from Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders now, after she was suspended from the team?

It's that time of the year again. Specifically, the time of the year that you force all your friends to learn the entire "Thunderstruck" routine. In other words, season two of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders just dropped and it's somehow even more dramatic than last season? Mostly because of the team's trip to the Bahamas, which will go down in INFAMY (in my mind). Quick recap: Chandi broke one of the DCC's many, many rules and invited a random man into her shared hotel room – which understandably made her teammates feel unsafe. Chandi ended up taking a leave of absence, and KayDianna stepped up as First Leader. But things took a turn when KayDianna went on TikTok and referenced Chandi and the trip. To be fair, she didn't mention Chandi by name, but was still accused of "being a bully and harassing" and was suspended from the team. KayDianna ended up quitting DCC, and told Netflix producers, "I definitely didn't feel supported, I felt like I was just a body. It was as if Chandi got the perks of being a First Leader and I got the responsibility part of it. When all this went down I was confused, my teammates were confused, we just didn't know what was gonna happen." So, what's KayDianna up to post DCC? First of all... "After prayerful consideration, I have made the decision to step away from my role with the Dallas Cowboys organisation," she said. "While this was not the ending I had envisioned, it is one I felt led to make for myself, in full faith and peace. I'm deeply grateful for four unforgettable seasons – filled with growth, meaningful friendships, and memories that will stay with me forever. Though this door has closed, I trust fully in god's plan and the new doors he is preparing to open. I do not view this as a setback, but as a divine setup for what's next. He is not finished with me yet, and I am stepping forward with expectation and joy for all he has in store. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey – I look forward to sharing the next one with you." In multiple TikToks, no less! While it doesn't seem like many current DCCs publicly interact with KayDianna on her social, Reece went ahead and commented "Crying all over again 😭" on her TikTok about leaving. Oh, and KayDianna posted this chat with Reece just a few weeks ago: Now that she's not on DCC, KayDianna has been working on her podcast, as well as teaching dance classes, and working as a competition judge. She's also happily married and just took a cute trip with her husband to France: In other words, she's booked and busy!

Is America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 3 happening? From cast to suspected release date

If, like us, you've already finished America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season two, then you're probably wondering if and when the third season will be on Netflix to fill that Thunderstruck-shaped hole in your life. Given the success of seasons one and two of the show, which were released on 20 June 2024 and 18 June 2025 respectively, fans have got their fingers crossed that a third season will be on its way. Although, Netflix is yet to confirm (or deny) anything about the fate of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Regardless of that, our excitement levels for a third season are so high that we've scoured the internet to find everything we know about a possible third instalment. From cast to suspected release date, here's everything we know about America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season three... As mentioned, there's been no confirmation from Netflix on a third season of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, but the team has already been posting a lot on their socials about the audition process for the coming year. That's because what we've seen on season two happened last year so, if Netflix does film a series three, it'll follow those currently competing in the audition and training camp process. If America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders does get renewed for a third season, there will be some familiar faces we can count on seeing, including DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell. There may be a celebrity star too, if the group's Instagram is anything to go by – as singer, songwriter, and musician Kacey Musgraves has been involved in the training camp process as a guest judge. In terms of who will (or won't) make the cheerleading team in season three, there's been some spoilers shared on social media which point to who we can expect to see. On the official DCC Instagram, zooming into the above training camp post gives us a good idea of the returning cast who have made it through to this round, while a post about the 'rookies' of the season introduces us to newer faces. As well as the veterans who retired at the end of season two (those being Chandi, Jada, Armani, Zoe, and Amanda), some other cast mates are missing from the promo shot above. While we know that fan-favourite Dayton auditioned again this season, given that she's missing from the training camp image, we can assume she was cut. Taking to social media to comment on a fan's post about just that, she commented: "It wasn't in the cards for me, but I'm proud of how much I've grown. I feel it's important to note I did EVERYTHING they asked of me and tried my absolute best to fit their mould. I'm not wanted there and I'm hoping this takes me to where I truly belong!" Again, there's been no confirmation that an America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season three is definitely happening but, if it does, we guess it'll be released in June 2026, based on the release pattern of seasons one and two. Until then, we'll be busy rewatching both seasons, catching old episodes of Making The Team, and following all the cast members on social media. Stream all episodes of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders seasons one and two on Netflix now.
