Residents of a Midlothian town have shared images and video footage of flooding impacting their community.
A picture taken by a shopper, Karen Seex, in Dalkeith appears to show the car park outside of the Morrison's supermarket on Eskbank Road. She warned shoppers to wear wellies if attending the shop, with the water believed to be over ankle height.
Another video shared by Yvonne Henderson showed the road leading up to the Mayfield Shell garage and the surrounding fields inundated with water.
Meteorologists issued a yellow weather warning for the Edinburgh and Lothians region, with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms expected to persist for most of Saturday June 14.
Forecasters at the BBC said the weather is expected to cause disruption with homes and businesses at risk of flooding and damage from floodwater, lightning strikes or hail. Heavy rain and thunderstorms may lead to some disruption.

As a precaution they added 'there is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.'
Public transport could also be impacted with train and bus services most likely to be disrupted.
On Saturday morning a power issue relating to overhead lines between Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket however it is not known if this was related to recent weather conditions.
Motorists have also been warned to take caution on the roads as surface water and sudden flooding could create problematic driving conditions and road closures.

They also warned communities could be cut off by flooded roads while forecasters argued there is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
The yellow weather warning is expected to be in place until 6pm.

Over 50,000 people flocked to Ingliston to enjoy a range of food and drink, live music and agricultural displays on June 19. Each year there are over 800 trade exhibitors, over 2,000 livestock competitors entering into 900+ competitions and tens of thousands of visitors. The show is set to sell out tickets for Friday and Saturday as the warmer weather continues. On Thursday morning we reported Edinburgh motorists were warned of major delays on the roads as the event got underway. Traffic Scotland and Lothian have issued updates to road and public transport users with considerable tailbacks reported on the A8, M9, M8 and M90 with visitors entering the showground at Ingliston. David Tennant, Head of Show, said; 'We have had a wonderful start to the Show with over 50,000 people in attendance who have enjoyed sampling food and drinks from Scotland's leading suppliers, listened to bagpipes and live music and watched leading agricultural displays. More info The popular Leith gala day has been cancelled as 'appalling' weather conditions hit Edinburgh. The event kicked off on Saturday, June 14, but organisers have since made the decision to pull the festival due to 'dangerous thunder and lightning'. It comes amid a yellow weather warning for adverse conditions across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Organisers claim it "was not an easy decision". A statement published online reads: "Due to appalling weather and dangerous thunder and lightning, for safety reasons we are closing the gala day event. "This was not an easy decision. We did try to persevere but today the weather was not on our side. "Thanks to all traders and public that braced the weather. Leith Festival."
