Oregon football offers brother of 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho
The Oregon Ducks are hosting 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho on an essential official visit this weekend, hoping to get him on board and in the 2026 recruiting class before he leaves town at the end of the weekend.
It appears that they are going the extra mile to do so, as well. On Sunday morning, it came out that the Ducks extended an offer to Michael Iheanacho, the younger brother of Immanuel. Michael is a member of the 2028 class, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound offensive tackle who is currently unrated by 247Sports.
Meanwhile, Immanuel stands as one of the most significant players on Oregon's recruiting board in the 2026 class, rated as the No. 8 overall player in the class while standing at 6-foot-6, 345 pounds. He is considering Oregon alongside the Penn State Nittany Lions, LSU Tigers, and Auburn Tigers.
Iheanacho has set a commitment date for August 5, but there is some speculation that he could end up announcing his commitment as soon as Sunday before his visit is over. If offering his younger brother — someone who could ultimately be a highly-touted recruit in the 2028 class — is something that will help push that decision along, then the Ducks made the right call in doing so.

Texas A&M's 2025 transfer portal losses now include one of the program's top arms from the bullpen, as right-handed pitcher Luke Jackson has entered the transfer portal, which is surprising given his successful junior season, during which he made a career-high 18 appearances. While there is always a chance that he returns, several Texas A&M transfers have already committed elsewhere, including catcher Jacob Galloway, who is headed to Oregon State. Coach Michael Earley has, however, landed three pitchers from the transfer portal, including standout Baylor freshman Carson Bailey, on Tuesday night. Nevertheless, it's clear that the future of the bullpen is uncertain with Jackson's departure, while several relief arms have yet to announce their official return. Want to thank coach… On a day when the sports world was preoccupied by a Kevin Durant trade and game seven of the NBA Finals, Iowa football added to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of Ronnie Hill. The Hawkeyes are once again finding diamonds in the rough as their latest commitment comes from a hidden gem whom they witnessed firsthand rather recently. The Hawkeyes offered the 6-1 183 183-pound safety on Sunday after he participated in a camp with them on Thursday. Hill committed the same day to give Iowa its tenth commit in the 2026 class. Hill is a three-star prospect out of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Adlai Stevenson High School. Hill chose the Hawkeyes over offers from Austin Peay, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Kent State. He's the 125th-best safety prospect and 18th-best prospect from Michigan in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. Hill is a dual-sport high school athlete, also competing in track and field. Hill also plays wide receiver for Adlai Stevenson, where he had 19 receptions for 292 yards and a touchdown during his junior year. He also added 11 tackles on the defensive end of the ball in just four games. He's the second defensive back in Iowa's 2026 class. Former Oregon football 5-star announces commitment to SEC school
For a matter of 17 days, 5-star edge rusher Richard Wesley was a member of the Oregon Ducks' 2026 recruiting class. Now, just over a month later, Wesley has announced that he is joining an SEC school instead. On Sunday afternoon, Wesley, the No. 14 player and No. 2 EDGE in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports Composite, announced that he is committing to the Texas Longhorns. Wesley announced his commitment to Oregon early in May by jumping into a pool with Dan Lanning, but later announced his decommitment less than a month later. This is a tough blow for Oregon, which felt like they were still in a good position to land Wesley despite his decommitment. There was a sense that things needed to be straightened out on the back-end with an NIL deal, but the love between the player and school was still there. Apparently, Wesley saw enough this weekend on his official visit to Texas to commit to the Longhorns, though. Wesley still has an OV scheduled to Ohio State for the beginning of the college football season, on a week when they play Texas. We will see if he still keeps that visit scheduled and if he sticks with the Longhorns longer than he did with the Ducks.
