Luke Puchner Commits To Minnesota Duluth
Shattuck St. Mary's 18U Prep forward Luke Puchner has committed to Minnesota Duluth, it was reported earlier this week.
Puchner, a product of New Germany, Minn., has spent the entire season at Shattuck St. Mary's where he has collected 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points in 43 games.
Drafted by the Lincoln Stars in the seventh round of the 2024 USHL Futures Draft, Puchner spent his draft year last season playing for Shattuck's 16U team. In 56 games, he scored 17 goals and added 23 assists for 40 points.
Prior to moving over to play at Shattuck's, Puchner played his minor hockey for the MN Lakers.
As Puchner gets set to join the Bulldogs in 2027, he will likely make the jump to the USHL next season. As someone who has proven to be dangerous with the puck, he has the talents needed to make the transition to the junior game and eventually the NCAA.

The T-Wolves are currently in the Western Conference Finals, but they are in big need of small forward depth. During his lone season as a Tar Heel, Powell showcased he can be a special offensive talent, but defense is the highlight of Powell's game. UNC head coach Hubert Davis would typically assign Powell to the opposition's best scorer, with Powell proving to give those players fits. Today's NBA is dominated by iso ball and launching 3-pointers, both of which Powell is successful at, but defense will carve Powell out a spot in The League. Powell can perfect chase-down blocks, steal the basketball, rebound at high clips and race down the court for a dunk, or give you 10 points in 10 minutes. Oregon football offers brother of 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho
The Oregon Ducks are hosting 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho on an essential official visit this weekend, hoping to get him on board and in the 2026 recruiting class before he leaves town at the end of the weekend. It appears that they are going the extra mile to do so, as well. On Sunday morning, it came out that the Ducks extended an offer to Michael Iheanacho, the younger brother of Immanuel. Michael is a member of the 2028 class, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound offensive tackle who is currently unrated by 247Sports. Iheanacho has set a commitment date for August 5, but there is some speculation that he could end up announcing his commitment as soon as Sunday before his visit is over.
