STUART 'Woody' Wood told how he hid the trauma of his abuse by paedo manager Tam Paton for 50 years, saying: 'I chose not to let it shape my life.'
The Bay City Rollers icon, 68, said he was determined not to let the sicko 'win' as he opened up for the first time about how he too was a victim of the beast.

Burly Paton bossed the band during the height of their 70s fame, when they had No1 hits including Saturday Night, Bye Bye Baby and Shang-A-Lang.
He was later fired by the group before being jailed for three years in 1982 for gross indecency with teenage boys.
In his autobiography Mania, released on Thursday, former pop-pin up Stuart brands the late fiend a 'true monster' and explains why he kept his own suffering a secret for five decades.
Stuart wrote: 'I met Tam when I was 16 years old. He was intimidating and a bully, and all the disgusting things said about him are accurate.
'He was a predator. He abused me as he did others.
'It was a horrific and harrowing time. The drugs he plied us with were part of that control.

'My take is that to have a healthy mind, you have to let some things go, as much as it might pain you to do so.
'So, when Tam's squalid little life came to an end in 2009, I stopped thinking about him.
'He was a terrible human being, but the way I see it, he doesn't get to define me.

In 2003, Paton was accused of attempting to rape Rollers guitarist Pat McGlynn in a hotel room in 1977.
Police investigated but concluded there was insufficient evidence to take it to court.
Depraved Paton claimed he was being targeted because he was gay.
After the flabby perv's death from a heart attack in 2019 singer Les McKeown claimed the former manager had also raped him while on tour in America after drugging him.
Les — who died at 65 in 2021 — said: 'I was given Quaaludes, a drug for lowering your inhibitions and making you horny.
'Afterwards I felt really used and abused. I never told anybody about it, not even the other guys in the band, because I was ashamed.'

Original Rollers singer Nobby Clarke has also claimed the boys were encouraged by Paton to sleep with radio DJ Chris Denning, who jailed for child sex abuse in 2016.
Meanwhile, founder Alan Longmuir revealed in 2018 how Paton had 'friends in low places' and warned 'his depravity ran deeper than we know.'
However, Stuart maintains he did not talk about Paton's abuse with either Les or Alan, even when they reformed the Rollers together 10 years ago.
Speaking from his home in Edinburgh, the songwriter, guitarist and producer said: 'We never discussed it - any of us - it just happened.
'We were all survivors, but with Les it felt like it hit him harder.
'It's not like I locked all those experiences away, stuffed down the bad memories, pretending they didn't happen.

Stuart is now the last member of the 'classic' Rollers line-up still performing, with a new single Rollers Forever released next month.
A musical of the same name opens at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre in August.
However, the star describes his relationship with Paton as 'complicated' as he even invited his abuser to his wedding to artist Denise in 1997.
He added: 'There's an old expression, 'Keep your enemies close'.
"I think that was the case with Tam. There was another side of Tam that was funny.
'He could be a lovable rogue.'

BBC and ITV sports presenting icon Steve Ryder gave his last broadcast on Sunday as he presented the British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park for ITV4 Sports presenter Steve Ryder has announced his retirement from broadcasting after an impressive 48-year career. The 75-year-old covered major sporting fixtures for both the BBC and ITV over the course of his time on the air. On Sunday, the star was broadcasting from the British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire when he revealed he would be hanging up his microphone. He was covering the event for ITV4 when he announced the news of his departure from the screen. A montage of clips was then shared showing drivers including Lando Norris, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Jenson Button and David Coulthard all bidding farewell to the broadcaster. Over the years, he has hosted Sportsnight and Sports Personality of the Year, as well as the BBC's coverage of every Olympic Games between 1988 and 2004. He departed the BBC in 2005 and joined ITV where he presented coverage of Formula One, as well as the football and rugby World Cups. His final appearance proved to be a muted exit, but he has previously explained why he decided the time had come to quit. He told the Daily Mail: "The biggest emotion as you get into the last two minutes of something like that is, 'For God's sake, don't c**k it up.' "Because you'd be thinking about that for the next 20 years. I've probably outstayed my welcome. I've been hugely lucky with the places that the career has taken me. But it's close to 50 years now, so the cracks are showing." Steve famously used to present Match of the Day and was left miffed when he was replaced by Gary Lineker as the main host - admitting he had cut the former footballer out of his life. The beef began when Gary said in 2015 that he though the R&A as 'pompous' and accused them of feeling like 'superior beings'. This, in turn, provoked a furious reaction from Steve. He told the Golf Paper: "I hold Gary Lineker in the highest regard as a football presenter, but his reflections on his experiences as a golf presenter need a huge reality check. For four years, the R&A and most other observers knew that Gary was the wrong man in the wrong job. Hazel Irvine has just delivered once again at the Open presentation skills of the highest quality. We did Brands Hatch for ITV on the Sunday and I had the operation on the Thursday. So it slotted into the schedule quite nicely!"

So how did a Disney child actor come to make this journey through the ranks to grab the most prized slot at Worthy Farm? Known for her heart-on-sleeve hits including Drivers License and Good 4 U, it seems Olivia was always destined to achieve her goals. It became the first song on Spotify to hit 80million streams in just seven days. The tune also shot straight to No1 on charts globally and propelled her into what she called a 'crash course in adulthood'. 'That was the craziest time of my life,' she said back then. 'I was sitting in a grocery store parking lot, and I called my A&R guy. 'It had just gone No 1 on Apple music, which is hard for a pop act to do. 'We were looking at each other on FaceTime, speechless. 'That was the moment I knew that it was going to be something bigger than I expected.' I just remember everyone being so weird and speculative about stuff they had no idea about. Olivia said: 'I put it out not knowing that it would get that reaction, so it was really strange when it did. Take her 2023 hit Vampire, in which she brands a mystery older ex a 'bloodsucker' who was only with her for fame. She dated producer Adam Faze for seven months before things came to an end in early 2022, then entered into a short relationship with music executive Zack Bia that same year. But despite her earlier pain, she is now loved up with British actor Louis Partridge, known for playing Sid Vicious in a series about the Sex Pistols. They are shelling out millions to shoot scenes for Avengers: Doomsday over the summer in Windsor Great Park. King Charles, who is Ranger of Windsor Great Park, is said to have been made aware but is set to be on his Balmoral estate in Scotland during filming. Marvel multiverse movie Avengers: Endgame is the second highest grossing movie of all time, raking in more than £2billion. Marvel Studios, which is owned by Disney, has paid a fortune in location fees to erect its sets next to Windsor Castle in Berkshire — with the money going towards maintaining the park. Windsor Great Park is owned by Crown Estates and the King gets 25 per cent of its annual profits. The exact price tag is not known but a source said: 'Several million pounds is chicken feed to Marvel when their movies make billions. 'But the money will go to the upkeep of Windsor Great Park so the King of course has a keen interest. 'Some of the profits of Crown Estates make their way to the Royal Family so it's a win-win for everyone. 'The Royal Family may even be persuaded to pop by and have a look at Thor in action.' Planning documents estimate up to 300 crew and cast will be on site for filming this summer. Enormous helicarrier takes off in Marvel's The Avengers Although the scenes to be shot at Windsor and the actors involved in them are being kept under wraps, the files show one set is listed as Luke Cage's House and the other is Annie Reynolds' House. Cage is the alter-ego of Power Man with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin, while Reynolds is thought to be a new character as the mother of Sentry.
