Yemen: US strikes kill 2 civilians, injure 4 others

Yemen Online06-04-2025

US airstrikes targeted the Hafsin area west of Saada in northern Yemen on Saturday evening , killing two civilians and wounding four others.
Yemen's Saba news agency quoted a source that four air raids were launched in the area.
The denial came in response to President Donald Trump's post on X, who shared a video purportedly showing the strike's aftermath.
The source claimed the footage instead depicted 'a tribal gathering of villagers celebrating Eid ul-Fitr in the coastal city of Hodeidah,' asserting that the individuals present had no connection to military activities.
There was no immediate confirmation from US Central Command regarding the airstrikes or the nature of the target.
The strike comes amid escalating tensions following President Donald Trump's warning that 'YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP!"
The Houthis initiated their attacks on Israel-linked vessels in the Red Sea in November 2023, to pressure for humanitarian aid access to Gaza.
A ceasefire in January 2025 led to a temporary halt in these attacks, until the collapse of the truce and Israel's resumption of military operations in Gaza, when the Houthis declared the resumption of their attacks.

Bahrain urges against using main roads following US strikes on Iran

Bahrain on Sunday urged citizens and residents to avoid using main roads unless necessary to 'allow relevant authorities to use roads efficiently' following strikes US against Iran's nuclear facilities. 'In light of recent developments in the regional security situation, we urge citizens and residents to use main roads only when necessary, to maintain public safety and to allow the relevant authorities to use the roads efficiently,' the ministry said on X. Separately, Bahrain also said on Sunday that it has permitted a 70 percent remote working for all workforce in ministries and governmental institutions except for sectors whose work requires in-person attendance amid the ongoing tension in the region, according to the Civil Service Bureau. 'In light of the regional circumstances and current developments, starting today and until further notice, it has been decided to activate remote work for 70 percent of the workforce in all ministries and government agencies, with the exception of sectors whose work requires in-person attendance or those with special work procedures in emergency situations and as required by public safety,' the Bureau said in a statement on X. The Gulf country hosts a US military base. The statements came after the US hit Iranian nuclear facilities amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday night that American forces had struck three nuclear sites in Iran. Trump said that the US 'completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.'

Popular Front for Liberation of Palestine: Trump's Admission of U.S. Funding for Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is proof of American involvement in destabilizing region

Gaza – Saba: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) stated on Sunday evening that U.S. President Donald Trump's admission that "the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam was built with stupid American funding, which significantly reduced the Nile's water flow," is further confirmation of the ongoing criminal schemes by the U.S. administration to undermine the stability and sovereignty of Arab nations, particularly Egypt, in service of Zionist interests. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the PFLP emphasized that this public admission clearly exposes the extent of American military, political, and financial involvement in supporting projects that target the security and historical rights of Arab peoples, particularly Egypt's water security, which is a cornerstone of its national stability. The statement pointed out that "U.S. backing for the Renaissance Dam project, along with Zionist involvement in supporting it and systematically inciting against Egypt, is an integral part of a malicious scheme to drain Egypt's resources and weaken its regional role, serving the broader Zionist domination project." It added, "It has become evident that this project is part of a wider multi-faceted aggression against regional states, as the U.S. employs both direct and indirect tools to dismantle national sovereignty structures and penetrate societies through water, economic, and conflict-related means." The statement further noted that "these policies, now practiced under the guise of development and diplomacy, are nothing but an extension of colonialism in new forms." The PFLP called for "a unified Arab and African stance to confront these policies, which now threaten Egyptian national security and the future of entire nations." It demanded "exposing and documenting the American and Zionist role in fueling conflicts, and building popular and official opposition to these policies based on bullying and unilateralism." The Front reaffirmed "the right of nations, especially Egypt, to defend their sovereignty and resources, including taking deterrent measures to halt this reckless behavior by the U.S. administration." It stressed that "targeting Egypt today is a link in a long chain of conspiracies against the region, and confronting this project requires clear political will and a conscious popular movement to curb this comprehensive American-Zionist aggression against the peoples, sovereignty, lands, and resources of the region." President Pezeshkian joins Iranian masses in Tehran rally condemning American aggression

Tehran - Saba: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian participated on Sunday evening in a massive public rally at Enghelab Square in central Tehran, where students and citizens gathered to denounce the U.S.-Zionist aggression against the country. The rally began at 5:00 PM, with attendees from all walks of life—including families, women, children, and university students—raising Iranian flags and carrying images of nuclear, military, and civilian martyrs who fell in recent attacks, according to Iran's Tasnim News Agency. Protesters held banners with slogans such as: - "Iran will not become Gaza" - "America must leave the region" - "Thank you, valiant Revolutionary Guards" They also chanted anti-U.S. and anti-Israel slogans, including: - "Death to America, Death to Israel" - "No negotiation, no surrender, only confrontation with America" - "We are not like the people of Kufa to leave Ali alone" - "We came to the square to humiliate the enemy" - "We are the soldiers of the Imam, ready for jihad" Participants expressed support for Iran's response to recent attacks on nuclear facilities, calling for a "strong and decisive retaliation" against the "blatant American-Israeli aggression on the country's sovereignty." Demonstrators also demanded Iran's withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), urging the government to take serious steps, including closing the Strait of Hormuz and targeting U.S. military bases near Iran in retaliation for the attack. Several student movement leaders delivered speeches during the rally, analyzing the regional situation and possible response scenarios by the Islamic Republic. The protest follows a U.S.-coordinated military strike with the Zionist entity earlier today, targeting sensitive Iranian nuclear facilities. While the U.S. president claimed the attack "destroyed Iran's nuclear infrastructure," Iranian authorities confirmed that damages were "limited and under control." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
