Nebraska makes cut for class of 2026 four-star running back Ryan Bonner
Nebraska football was named a finalist for class of 2026 running back Ryan Bonner. The four-star back narrowed down the list to five schools, and the Huskers made the cut. Notre Dame, Washington, Penn State, and UCLA also made the cut.
Bonner is the seventh overall running back in the 2026 class, and the 14th overall player in his class from the state of California per the On3 recruiting rankings.
Bonner has made several trips to Nebraska over the last year. He took two unofficial visits to Lincoln on July 2 and November 2. He is set to visit Washington on April 25.
The running back is a dynamic player. He recorded 497 carries for 1,493 yards and 25 touchdowns, according to statistics from Maxpreps.com. He had seven games of 100-plus rushing yards and averaged 135.7 yards per game. He was effective as soon as he got the ball, averaging 7.6 yards per carry.
Nebraska is certainly going to have competition for Bonner. Nevertheless, they have been steadfast in his recruitment and are known to be strong on the recruiting trail.

Texas A&M to big leagues: Former Aggie pitcher makes MLB debut for Chicago White Sox

The Texas A&M baseball program had its 65th player in program history make their Major League Baseball debut, as a former Aggie pitcher stepped on the mound for the Chicago White Sox on Saturday afternoon. Left-hander Jake Palisch became the first player to represent the program in their big league debut this year, as he pitched the eighth inning in relief for the White Sox in Game 2 of the road series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Palisch's call-up on Friday was part of multiple moves by the franchise to freshen up a depleted pitching rotation. His contributions during the Aggies' College World Series run can't be overstated, as he notched five saves and 73 strikeouts in 60 1/3 innings. Palisch also earned the Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week honor during a weekend series against Arkansas, where the Richardson, Texas, native struck out 13 batters in 9.1 innings pitched. After his lone season pitching for Texas A&M, he signed with the White Sox as an undrafted free agent. In 15 appearances with the MiLB's Birmingham Barons, the lefty struck out 35 batters and recorded a 1.19 ERA in 53 innings of work. All the hard work and dedication to hone his craft paid off in the form of his MLB debut on Saturday in front of 41,488 people in Toronto. Although the lefty gave up two runs on three hits in his first appearance for the White Sox, he was taking it all in and enjoying the moment that he had worked for his entire life. According to Chicago Sun-Times reporter Mitchell Armentrout, Palisch expressed his feelings about his debut to the media following the 7-1 loss to the Blue Jays. "It's certainly intense," Palisch said. "I'd like to say I was feeling it, but I think I may have blacked out a little bit at first. You kind of lose track of everything that's going on, other than just that pitch and working through it." Once Palisch can settle into his role with the franchise and develop over time, he will be rocking and rolling on the mound in the pinstripes in no time. For a franchise that so desperately needs pitchers at the moment, he will likely be inserted to relieve more frequently for the White Sox moving forward. Notre Dame Commit Profile: Cornerback Khary Adams

Notre Dame Commit Profile: Cornerback Khary Adams originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Notre Dame picked up a huge commitment when big time cornerback Khary Adams pledged to the Fighting Irish. It was a big recruiting win for Notre Dame, who is building yet another elite secondary class. Let's take a look at the recruiting profile for Adams. KHARY ADAMS PROFILE Hometown/High School: Towson, Md./Loyola Blakefield Advertisement Height/Weight: 6-2, 180 IB Grade: 4.0 (Top 100 caliber prospect) Upside Grade: 5.0 (Top 35 caliber prospect) Player Comp: Cam Hart, Notre Dame Recruited By: Mike Mickens Offers: Notre Dame, Clemson, LSU, Oregon, Florida State, Michigan, Penn State, USC, Tennessee, Miami (Fla.), Oklahoma, Auburn, South Carolina, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, West Virginia, NC State, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Minnesota, Arizona, Maryland, Rutgers RECRUITING RANKINGS On3: 4-star - No. 30 overall - No. 3 corner 247Sports: 4-star - No. 36 overall - No. 3 corner ESPN: 4-star - No. 68 overall - No. 9 corner Rivals: 4-star - No. 246 overall - No. 19 corner On3 Consensus: 4-star - No. 67 overall - No. 8 corner 247Sports Composite: 4-star - No. 75 overall - No. 9 corner NOTRE DAME FIT There are several attributes that Mike Mickens has consistently looked for at the cornerback position, and Adams grades out well in each of those areas. His combination of length, speed and football IQ all grade out well. He has all the tools you want in a high-level pure cover player. Mickens also likes two-way players and Adams is also an impact high school wide receiver. Adams has the range, cover instincts and tackling potential to thrive as a field cornerback. He also has the length, speed and instincts to grow into a dominant boundary cornerback. That positional flexibility is a big reason why Adams fits so well into the Notre Dame defense. FILM ANALYSIS The length that Mickens has added to the secondary in recent recruiting cycles has been incredibly impressive, and that continues with the pickup of Adams. At 6-2 he certainly has excellent height, but Adams also has the arm length to match. That makes him an incredibly difficult player to throw the ball over or around. Adams is on the lean side right now and he's listed at 180 pounds, but he has a solid frame that reminds me a lot of former Notre Dame cornerback Cam Hart, who was 6-3 and skinny in high school but grew into a 205-pound player for the Irish. I could see Adams eventually getting to the 200-pound mark as well. Advertisement Adams is an excellent all-around athlete that has all the physical traits you want in a cornerback. He has top notch foot quickness and agility, which allows him to change direction with ease and impressive quickness. He can plant and drive on the football as well as any cornerback in the class. Adams has loose hips and transitions with ease as well, showing the kind of open-and-run skills you need to play man coverage. Adams also has elite speed, both from an initial quickness standpoint and second gear. When he commits to going full speed he gets to his top gear in a hurry, and his long speed is tremendous. He covers a ton of ground and he's able to overcome mistakes much easier than most cornerbacks because of his combination of elite length and speed. With Notre Dame potentially looking to play more zone coverage, Adams also needs to be able to handle that part of the game as well. One could argue that his unique skillset projects just as well to being a zone defender. His length and speed allows him to cover a ton of ground in off zone coverages (Cover 3, Cover 4), and his ability to redirect and close so well should allow him to be incredibly difficult to throw at in those zone looks. His length and foot quickness also gives him traits to be a difficult player to throw over in the tighter zone looks like Cover 2. That all-around ability is why his upside is so high. Adams will need a lot of technical at the next level, which is why picking Notre Dame is such a good move for him. That's where Mickens thrives, and Adams will benefit greatly from that tutelage. Adams gets by on elite talent right now, but he's a two-way player for his high school, which makes it harder for him to master the technique at one spot. That's not a knock on his prep coaching, as the coaches should absolutely use him both ways. It just means he'll have more to learn once he focuses on one position. He'll also need to learn to better use his length to his advantage when playing press and re-routing receivers. Adams is a willing tackler but he's more of a form tackler than a thumper like Hart or Moore. He'll need to not only fill out but also improve his upper body strength. His play strength is one of the areas where he grades out the lowest. That will come in time as he gets into the college weight program and continues to physically mature. The fact he's not afraid to stick his nose into traffic is important, because once the strength comes his impact in the run game will be much improved. Prediction made for 4-Star Oregon Ducks WR target to land with rival Big Ten school

The Oregon Ducks hosted several highly-rated recruits on official visits in Eugene this weekend, many of whom they are in a great position to land over the next several weeks. While on said visit, one of those targets — 4-star wide receiver Jalen Lott — picked up a prediction to land with a rival Big Ten school, though. According to Texas Longhorns On3 reporter Eric Nahlin, the expectation is that Lott will end up with the USC Trojans in the end. His recruitment was coming down to a trio of Oregon, USC, and Texas, and there is a sense that the Longhorns are accepting that they are unlikely to land the blue-chip prospect who the 247Sports Composite rates as the No. 49 player in the 2026 class. While Nahlin's prediction is only rated at a 50% confidence level, it still indicates that there is recruiting intel available that suggests Lott, a Frisco, Texas native, may be leaning towards the Trojans. Before this latest prediction, it was Oregon and Texas who were considered the favorites. However, Lott's sister, Falyn, runs track at USC, so there is a family pull there. We will see after the official visit this weekend how much of a push the Ducks can make in Lott's commitment, and how the chips will stack up before his expected commitment date of July 8.
