Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried Set to Return For Animated 'Ted' Sequel
It's been 10 years since the release of the sequel to Seth MacFarlane's popular movie Ted starring Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried. Following the success of Ted, which came out in 2012 featuring Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and MacFarlane (who voiced Ted), the sequel starring Seyfried was a fun encore in 2015.
The group from Ted 2 is now set to run it back for another go-round, but this time, it'll be in a slightly different fashion.
According to Discussing Film, an animated sequel series to the Ted films is being created — and it'll star Wahlberg, Seyfried and MacFarlane once again.
The film, which features the foul-mouthed teddy bear named Ted, will not only feature Wahlberg and Seyfried but also Jessica Barth, along with MacFarlane. They'll reprise their roles as John, Sam, Tami-Lynne and Ted, the outspoken bear who stole the hearts of America (sort of).
According to Variety, Kyle Mooney will voice a new character named Apollo, while Liz Richman will voice Ruth. It is slated to be aired on Peacock and will mark the second television series focused on Ted, as the streaming service currently airs a live-action prequel.
As Variety points out, the prequel series, launched in January 2024, broke records as Peacock's most-watched original show. MacFarlane also voices Ted in that series.
The initial Ted film was a tremendous success, pulling in nearly $550 million at the box office, while the sequel grossed over $215 million.

It's fair to say that Bad Bunny is one of the hardest-working music artists in the game right now. In the interview, discussing his upcoming residency and tour surrounding his sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Benito got real about what's expected of him as he embarks on one of the biggest tours of his career. "At times, I do think, cabrón, what I'm signing up for is a lot," he said. For context, Benito is set to perform a 30-night residency at the Colseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, not too far from where he grew up from July 11 to Sept. 14, and then he's going on a 56-date world stadium tour from November 2025 to July 2026. Basically, he's booked and busy. "But the way I see it, I'm not a doctor; I'm not a teacher; I'm not someone who has to wake up every morning at 5 a.m. to lay down concrete on a busy road to survive," Benito continued. Russell Crowe confirms 'Highlander' casting
June 21 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind and Thor: Love and Thunder star Russell Crowe has joined the ensemble of the new remake of the classic 1986 fantasy film, Highlander. "Yes... it's true... I shall be returning to the highlands... with a sword... it has been a few centuries..." there can be only one," Crowe wrote on X Saturday. The actor's post included a link to a Variety report about the casting news. Crowe will play the mentor to Henry Cavill's Scottish title character in the film about immortal warriors.
