Chris Brown arrives at court to enter plea over ‘bottle attack' charge

The American musician, wearing a dark blue suit, walked towards the entrance of Southwark Crown Court in silence past a large group of photographers.
The 36-year-old, accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Abraham Diaw in February 2023, will appear alongside a co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, 38, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
The Go Crazy singer, who was able to continue his international tour after he was freed on conditional bail last month, performed in Cardiff on Thursday night.
He had to pay a £5 million security fee to the court as part of the bail agreement, which is a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions.
Brown and Akinlolu have been charged over an incident at the Tape venue in Hanover Square, Mayfair, on February 19 2023.
Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last month that Mr Diaw was standing at the bar of the nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle, and was then pursued to a separate area of the venue where he was punched and kicked repeatedly.
Brown was arrested at Manchester's Lowry Hotel at 2am on May 15 this year by detectives from the Metropolitan Police.
He is said to have flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet in preparation for the UK tour dates.
He was released from HMP Forest Bank in Salford, Greater Manchester, on May 21.
Shortly after being released from prison, the musician posted an Instagram story referencing his upcoming tour.
It said: 'FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!! BREEZYBOWL.'

Lizzo reveals the secret to her major weight loss

Lizzo has finally revealed the secrets behind her major weight loss journey after undergoing an entire lifestyle change in the last few years. The American pop singer and rapper, 37, rose to international fame during the late 2010s with body positive anthems like Juice and Good As Hell. Born Melissa Jefferson, Lizzo proudly wore her 'Big Grrrrl' status on her sleeve and posed nude on the front cover of her 2019 album Cuz I Love You. In the 2020s, Lizzo began to lose weight and, as of January 2025, had reached a weight she hadn't been since 2014 – she dropped 10.5 off her BMI score. Now she's revealed how she managed to shave 16% off her body fat total, admitting to trialling a popular method of weight loss that's currently all the rage. Speaking to the Just Trish podcast, she said: 'I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full.' Ozempic, which contains the diabetes management drug semaglutide, has become popular among both celebrities and civilians for helping to suppress their appetites, control blood sugar levels, and lose weight. However, the 2 Be Loved singer insisted that while she tried Ozempic at first, she realised she couldn't rely on it and tried to mimic its effects with her own willpower. 'But if you can just [control your diet] on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing,' she added, also revealing that stopping her vegan diet also helped. 'What [caused weight loss] for me was not being vegan. Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full.' She continued on to say that, on some days, she was consuming anywhere between 3,000 and 5,000 calories per day in order to avoid feeling hungry. 'When I started actually eating whole foods and eating, like, beef and chicken and fish, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up.' Despite dropping off Ozempic pretty quickly, Lizzo maintains that using it – and similar branded drugs like Mounjaro – isn't 'cheating' and that people criticising those who do are 'fatphobic'. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video In January, she revealed that she had reached her target weight after working hard to maintain a lifestyle change for more than two years. More Trending She said on Instagram: 'Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!' Lizzo had said in an earlier video, 'I am actually on an intentional weight loss journey right at the end of my weight loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means. 'I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI, and little bros on the internet are still going to call me 'big backed.' But I will be happy,' she said. The video then cut to her today, where she could be seen grinning ear to ear as she declared: 'And I am happy'. Got a story? Stacey Solomon's pink midi dress is the perfect pick for a day at the races

Stacey Solomon wowed fans as she attended an event in a stunning pale pink midi dress from Club L London, and it's the perfect pick if you've got a day at the races pending There's nothing better than a summer soiree, and the best events need something a little special to mark the occasion. Whether you've got a day at the races, a summer wedding or a launch event like Stacey Solomon had this week, it's the perfect opportunity to dress up and feel your best. For her Airwick event, Stacey looked stunning in Club L London's Parina Pink Strappy Volume-Hem Midi Dress, and everything from its fit and flare shape to its pastel pink colour made it the perfect pick for formal summer occasions. Stacey's exact dress is still available to shop for £110, with her pink version still in stock as well as 11 other colours and prints to choose from. Stacey shared some snaps on her Instagram stories and was tagged in several photos on Instagram, including one of her and influencer Fatima Flatt together which showed off her gorgeous pink dress. Stacey even shared a video of herself post-event back at Pickle Cottage tending to her chickens and ducks whilst still wearing the dress – if that doesn't convince us of how comfortable it is, nothing will! Stacey's Parina Pink Midi Dress manages to be both tailored and flowing, with a fitted bodice that features a flattering and supportive square neckline, with wide shoulder straps. After nipping in at the waist, the dress then flares out into a flowing pleated midi skirt, with the whole dress made from a scuba crepe that helps smooth your figure. If you're looking for similar styles to Stacey's dress that are a little easier on your bank balance, we spotted two bargain alternatives. Abercrombie & Fitch has slashed the price of its £72 Mixed Fabric Bubble Hem Midi Dress to £49.99, and it comes in sizes XXS to XL and is available in petite, regular and tall lengths to get a perfect fit. It has a slightly more laidback look to Stacey's with a stretch cotton bodice and stiff poplin midi skirt. Meanwhile at Cider the Linen-Blend Square Neck Ruffle Midi Dress is just £29 and has a more structured corset-style body and voluminous midi skirt. However if Stacey's dress has caught your eye, you can pick it up in sizes six to 16 with Club L London's website suggesting that it runs big and to take a size down to get the perfect fit. The Parina Pink Midi Dress also has stretch to it thanks to the scuba crepe fabric, so it'll hug your curves and be comfortable enough to wear all day (and night).
