Olivia Rodrigo Keeps an Emergency Cheese Inside Her Vintage Bag

Vogue15-05-2025

'I've been so into animal print lately,' Olivia Rodrigo says of her vintage leopard print Fendi bag—a gift from a friend. But not only is it fashionable, it's functional. 'I kinda schlep around a lot of stuff,' she admits.
Rodrigo loves all things cute, and the contents of her bag more than prove it. Take her phone, which she keeps in a maroon puffer case. 'It reminds me of like a little jacket to keep my phone warm,' she says. (Her screen time? Only four hours. Talk about a brag!) On her keys, she affixed a little bear keychain she got in Japan. She also got a matching one for her best friend. 'It has a little hat that comes off,' Rodrigo coos. 'I love when they have accessories and you can dress them up.' Don't worry, though, the bear isn't lonely: she also has a bunny that she got in Amsterdam (yes, it has a hat, too).
'I'm obsessed with this game called Cambio,' Rodrigo says, pulling a deck of playing cards from her purse. While she admits that she can't find the rules online, she teaches the English pub game to members of her tour and friends around the world. Though she claims she's gatekeeping the rules, 'I am spreading the word, spreading the gospel about this game. It's so much fun, it's addicting.'
With random spurts of free time on tour, Rodrigo also keeps a book handy. Her latest read was gifted to her by the singer St. Vincent, who inadvertently helped inspire Rodrigo's song 'All-American Bitch' by giving her Joan Didion's Slouching Towards Bethlehem. '[A teenage hippie] called their mom an 'all-American bitch,' and I thought that that was really cool,' she says, 'so I circled it.'
Here, watch Olivia Rodrigo show us the contents of her bag, from the Babybel cheese she's obsessed with to her favorite fragrance.

‘Pretty Little Liars' Stars Defend Ezra and Aria's Relationship

When Pretty Little Liars launched in 2010 with sixteen-year-old Aria hooking up with her 20-something English teacher, it was a bit of a shock. Fans embraced the illegal—and frankly creepy AF—relationship and the two ended up being the show's longest-running ship. Now, as fans celebrate the show's 15th anniversary, PLL stars Lucy Hale and Ian Harding are looking back at Aria and Ezra's controversial relationship. 'It was a different time,' Lucy told The Hollywood Reporter. 'Would that storyline exist if it were being made now? I'm not sure, but probably not.' Showrunner I. Marlene King agreed, saying, 'We were definitely probably crossing a line I wouldn't cross now.' Despite agreeing that the relationship was 'wildly inappropriate,' Ian stands by his character, adding, 'I love Ezra and as an actor, you have to advocate for this person, no matter who they are.' He also said that he hoped that the fact that Aria and Ezra—spoiler alert!—get married in the end helps make the relationship 'a little less icky.' As for Lucy, she's with Ezria 100%. 'I stand behind their love story forever,' she said. Looking back, it helps, Ian said, that Aria had a lot of agency in their relationship. 'There was never a moment where my character was trying to somehow leverage the power he had,' he said, noting that most Ezria scenes (at least pre-time jump) were 'practically domestic.' This is in direct contrast to how student-teacher relationships on teen shows have traditionally been depicted—see Riverdale, Gossip Girl, Dawson's Creek, etc.—where sex is the main plot point, not the relationship. So, yes, it's creepy that we all watched and rooted for an adult man dating his teenage student (Ezria might be unpopular now, but it was one of the biggest fandoms of the show). But, like Ian, we can take comfort in the fact that the show emphasized Ezra and Aria's 'meaningful connection' outside of their student-teacher relationship. And if that doesn't work, remember, the show isn't a roadmap for how to live your life, it's fiction! 'I don't deeply regret it, because it's fiction,' Ian said. 'But I also realize that it did bring up a lot of harder conversations about what is actually considered abuse and what is considered love.'

'Welcome to Wrexham' poster boy Paul Mullin leaves club on a season-long loan deal

Associated Press WIGAN, England (AP) — Paul Mullin, the poster boy of a Wrexham team soaring through England's soccer leagues following its takeover by Hollywood celebrities, has left the club to join third-tier Wigan on a season-long loan deal. 'I'm excited for the next part of my story," Mullin told Wigan's official website on Monday. 'I've scored a lot of goals over the last few years, but more than anything, I give my absolute all for the club that I'm playing for, and I'm going to do that again with Wigan.' Wigan said the loan deal was subject to the approval of the English Football League and the Football Association, and international clearance. Mullin helped Wrexham become the first team in the history of English football's top five divisions to secure three successive promotions, and there is a giant mural of the 30-year-old striker in the center of the city. He formed such a close bond with Ryan Reynolds, one of the club's owners, that he even appeared in the last 'Deadpool' movie. But Mullin, who had been Wrexham's player of the season in each of the three previous years, was only a bit-part performer when the team won promotion to the second tier last season. It was a sudden turn of events for a player who has had a leading role in the popular 'Welcome to Wrexham' fly-on-the-wall documentary created by Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to follow their progress as rookie soccer club owners. McElhenney once hailed Mullin as 'one of the greatest football players in the world.' Mullin has scored 110 goals in 172 games for Wrexham. ___ AP soccer: recommended in this topic
