Nellore: Students of Avenues Senior Secondary School captivated the audience with a vibrant Yoga Natya performance during the 11th International Yoga Day & Yogandhra celebrations held at AC Subbareddy Stadium in Nellore on Saturday.
The prestigious event, organised by state authorities, was graced by District Collector O Anand, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, and Nellore Rural MLA Kotam Reddy Sreedhar Reddy.

The Annamayya district celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with a record turnout of over 8 lakh people across 5,050 locations on Saturday (June 21). At Rayachoti, District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri launched the mass event with 5,000 participants. He lauded the the residents for making the district stand as number one in the State in the Yogandhra rankings. The Collector urged the public to adopt yoga as a daily habit for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The officials arranged a live telecast of the Visakhapatnam State-level celebrations at the venue. Meanwhile, hundreds of people took part in the Yogandhra celebrations at the NTR Stadium in Kuppam of Chittoor district. The Kuppam Area Development Authority Project director Vikas Marmath, along with senior officials, inaugurated the event. He thanked the people of the Kuppam Assembly Constituency for making the event's finale memorable in the Chief Minister's constituency.

Practice yoga daily to lead a health life, says Hindupur Collector

District Collector T.S. Chetan on Saturday urged the people to embrace yoga as a daily habit to lead a healthy life with absolute mental well-being. He was speaking at the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations held at MGM Grounds in Hindupur of Sri Sathya Sai district on Saturday (June 21). The Collector said that yoga reflected the country's cultural heritage and served as a guide for healthy living. Superintendent of Police V. Ratna, Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, and a large number of students, officials, and the public took part in the event. The district celebrated Yogandhra-2025 from May 21 to June 21 with yoga sessions across Dharamavaram, Kadiri, Penukonda, and Lepakshi. Later, the Collector and SP presented certificates and mementos to the winners of the yoga competitions.
