The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has unveiled a major leap in its digital transformation strategy, introducing fully automated, AI-driven work permit services as part of its mission to deliver best-in-class services for both private sector companies and individual users.
Underpinning this transformation is MoHRE's use of artificial intelligence to automatically issue work permits for establishments, eliminating manual applications and slashing document requirements by 100%. The move represents a paradigm shift in the Ministry's service delivery model, setting a new benchmark for efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Seamless Smart Services: AI Takes the Lead
As part of its broader vision to enhance labour market competitiveness, MoHRE has rolled out an extensive suite of smart and automated services. These include:
Real-time issuance, cancellation, and amendment of work permits and employment contracts, all handled entirely by AI systems, without human intervention.
Issuance of 'To Whom It May Concern' certificates for domestic workers, available in multiple languages via MoHRE's digital platforms, removing the need for physical center visits.
Online cancellation of absence-from-work complaints for both domestic and private sector workers.
MoHRE has also streamlined legal and administrative processes:
Through its
Labour Consultation
and Claims Center, the Ministry provides simplified access to legal guidance and claims filing.
Farm and ranch owners can now open establishment files digitally, using intuitive and secure tools provided by the Ministry.
Zero Bureaucracy: A Policy in Action
These innovations are a key component of the UAE government's 'Zero Bureaucracy Program', and adhere to the 'Ask Once' principle, a national commitment to eliminate repetitive paperwork and make services fully automated and user-friendly.
For example:
New work permits for domestic workers are now issued automatically through integrated government systems, requiring no additional documentation or physical procedures.
This aligns with the UAE's National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, where digital transformation and operational agility are prioritized across public sector services. Today, MoHRE offers more than 100 digital services, all accessible 24/7 via its official website and mobile app, maintaining the highest standards in security, reliability, and usability.
Measurable Results and Enhanced Engagement
MoHRE has made notable strides in executing the Zero Bureaucracy Program, aiming to:
Increase government efficiency
Enhance service responsiveness
Improve overall service quality
Elevate the UAE's global competitiveness
A key driver of this progress is 'Tawasul', MoHRE's official communication platform.

Strict action will be taken against projects lacking proper permissions, says HYDRAA chief
Hyderabad: At the Times Home Hunt Property Expo held recently, Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) commissioner A V Ranganath cautioned that any new projects lacking proper permissions or built on encroached land will face strict action. 'Only layouts approved before HYDRAA's formation on July 19 last year will be exempt. All others must comply with current regulations,' said Ranganath, noting that unchecked construction contributed significantly to urban issues like flooding and traffic congestion. HYDRAA was set up not just as a watchdog, he said, but also as a proactive body aimed at promoting sustainable and responsible urban development. 'HYDRAA is not just about demolitions. We are focused on creating a healthier, more environmentally conscious real estate ecosystem,' Ranganath added. The authority is working closely with other agencies to rejuvenate lakes, address urban flooding, and improve drainage infrastructure. He also pointed out that traffic congestion alone costs the state nearly Rs 300 crore in infrastructure loss, underscoring the need for better planning. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo 'We received criticism that HYDRAA slowed real estate activity, but there were geopolitical concerns, delays in RERA clearances, and approval bottlenecks at GHMC and HMDA—also played a role. If a project is legally approved, we won't interfere. Our aim is to ensure compliance and environmental responsibility,' he said.

State to survey lakes with drones, rovers
Bengaluru: To eliminate the need for repeated surveys of lakes and improve conservation efforts, the state survey and settlement department (SSLR) has switched to high-tech digital mapping, using drones and rovers. This large-scale effort, covering thousands of waterbodies, is expected to modernise how the state tracks its lakes and prevent encroachments. SSLR commissioner J Manjunath said. "We will also mark buffer zones of the lakes during the survey. This digital survey will be helpful to preserve, conserve, and protect the lakes," he added. To manage the data generated from these surveys, the department has developed dedicated software named Web GiS, which will serve as a centralised database for various govt agencies. Each surveyed lake's file will include its exact GPS coordinates, survey numbers, boundaries, extent, ownership (govt department or agency), encroachment details if any, and survey sketches. In the past two years alone, digital surveys were completed for 8,433 lakes using drones and rovers. These details have already been uploaded on Web GiS. Officials estimate only 6,210 lakes remain to be digitally mapped. This final leg of the digital survey is expected to be completed by Dec 31, 2025. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esse novo alarme com câmera é quase gratuito em Ibiraci (consulte o preço) Alarmes Undo Overall, the department has identified 41,849 lakes across Karnataka. Traditional survey methods using chains and compasses had earlier been used to survey 27,206 lakes. The department adopted the digital approach to complete the survey of the remaining 14,643 lakes, of which 8,433 have been digitally mapped. Initially, the Web GiS data will be restricted to govt agencies, but officials say the data will later be made public, enhancing transparency and access.

Realty market rebounding after a two-year slump, says Telangana minister at Times Home Hunt Property Expo
Hyderabad: After two years of sluggish growth, Hyderabad's real estate sector is experiencing a strong resurgence, said IT and Industries minister D Sridhar Babu at the Times Home Hunt Property Expo on Saturday. He stated that the market had recorded consistent 13% month-on-month growth in property registrations since February 2025. 'The real estate sector registered a 15.4% growth in 2024–25, while the construction sector alone contributed 11.97%, adding nearly 80,000 crore to the state's economy,' he said. He also noted that in February 2025, 5,900 property registrations were recorded, with 18% of the registered properties priced above Rs 1 crore. Year-on-year transactional growth stood at 6%. The Times Home Hunt Property Expo featured residential and commercial projects from 35 developers across Hyderabad, showcasing around 100 real estate projects focused on smart homes, gated communities, and wellness-oriented townships. 3,000 visitors on opening day The two-day expo, which concludes on Sunday, recorded around 3,000 visitors on its opening day. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Dermatologist: Just Add 1 Drop Of This Household Item To Any Dark Spot And Wait 3 Minutes Undo Overall, the event is expected to attract nearly 5,000 footfalls across both days. It is held in association with Auro, SRIAS, R-One, and ASBL, while Union Bank of India serves as the official banking partner. Sridhar Babu cautioned homebuyers to remain vigilant due to a rise in property scams. He urged them to verify RERA, HMDA and other approvals, and to carry out background checks on developers before making investments. He strongly recommended that buyers register properties only through the Build Now portal, an initiative by the state govt to streamline approvals, increase transparency, and ensure accountability in the real estate process. The minister also spoke about the Indiramma Housing Scheme, which aims to construct 4.16 lakh houses in its first phase within a year. 'This scheme ensures that people from all economic backgrounds, poor, middle-class and upper-class, have access to safe and environmentally conscious housing,' he said. The housing units will incorporate green building practices such as rainwater harvesting systems, solar panels, and low-carbon materials. 'Builders should also work towards obtaining green building certifications for these homes, promoting sustainable urban living,' he added.
