The award was read by TTPM Sabah President Larina Wong Shiao Yee after both parties agreed to the payment during a virtual tribunal session at the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry office here. The claimant, a doctor transferred from Peninsular Malaysia to Sandakan, had shipped their car by sea in November. However, the vessel caught fire in December, delaying the car's arrival until early May. The claimant had to rent a car for three months and later discovered missing items in the vehicle. The shipping agent agreed to pay 80 per cent of the rental costs, full servicing charges, and for the lost items. They were given 14 days to make the payment. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
