'Feral' passenger lashes out at fellow traveler on chaotic 'flight from hell'

Daily Mail7 days ago

A 'feral' Brit has been captured attempting to provoke another passenger on a chaotic 'flight from hell' to Ibiza, Spain.
The altercation reportedly occurred on Jet2 flight LS1181 from Birmingham in England on Friday after the pilot delayed takeoff by around two-and-a-half hours.
Originally scheduled to depart at 6.15pm, holidaymakers were not allowed on board until around 7pm, only to be told that there would be further delays.
One passenger who witnessed the incident unfold said it was at this point that the flight began to go 'feral'.
One passenger said that the troublemaking traveler, who can be seen in footage wearing a green outfit, decided to drink a bottle of vodka in 'ten seconds', resulting in him later screaming in the faces of flight attendants.
He was also seen throwing items of clothing at another passenger in the video, which raised tensions before others on board stepped in.
One passenger, CJ Edwards, said: 'People were drinking and doing all sorts, and what I want to say is that it wasn't just him.
'There were a lot of things going on. There was a fight on the plane, someone got slapped, someone was sick in the aisles. My friend had sick on his shoe. People were passing drinks over each other.
'There was a lot going on. So when we got on the flight and told we can't move, the guy took his bottle of Ciroc out that he'd got from duty free and, I'm not lying, he's guzzled it down in about ten seconds.'
Edwards said it was at that point he knew he didn't want to be 'anywhere near' the man and moved to the back of the plane to sit with a friend.
Despite the pre-flight chaos, Edwards said the plane eventually took off - which flight records say was at 8.44pm - but that that there was a strong amount of turbulence.
He added: 'And when it's doing all of this in the air the man is standing up.
'He's doing the most. He was coming to the back of the plane where I was, trying to get some drink off people and talk to some guys.
'When the air hostess told him to sit down he's looked in her face and said "But who are you? Who are you to tell me to sit down?".'
He went on: 'After all that when we're trying to land he's standing up again. He's in the aisles, moving through. People are trying to get him to sit down and he's not doing it.
'The pilot is on the microphone saying "to the guy standing up, please sit down".
'I think the person he was with as well that he ended up slapping them but I'm not too sure. It was the flight from hell.'
When returning home after spending 24 hours in Ibiza, Edwards said he saw the man who apologized and blamed his behavior on frustration at the flight being delayed.
He added: 'When I was getting my flight back today I saw him and he was like "bro I'm so sorry, I was frustrated because I was trying to do 24 hours and my time was delayed".
'I was just thinking "your time was delayed like everyone else's, big man".'
A spokesperson for Jet2 said: 'The customer has been banned for life. As a family friendly airline we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behavior.'

Antonio Rudiger claims he was racially abused in Club World Cup clash

Antonio Rudiger has claimed he was racially abused during Real Madrid's Club World Cup victory over Mexican side Pachuca on Sunday. Xabi Alonso confirmed a complaint had been made after an incident towards the end of the Spanish giants' 3-1 victory in Charlotte. Rudiger had clashed with Pachuca captain Gustavo Cabral in injury time but it was not clear if the alleged abuse came from a player or someone in the crowd. "That's what Rudiger said, and we believe him," Alonso told reporters in his post-match press conference. "It is important to have zero tolerance in these kinds of situations. Fifa now is investigating. That's all I can say." Fifa, the world governing body and tournament organiser, has not commented but referee Ramon Abatti had crossed his arms in front of his chest, which signals the activation of the anti-racism protocol. It comes after Fifa were criticised by campaigners for dropping its anti-racism messaging at the Club World Cup, something they were forced to U-turn ahead of Real's opener against Al-Hilal. Real had shrugged off the early sending off of Raul Asencio to claim a victory that took them to the top of Group H. Asencio was dismissed in the seventh minute for hauling down Salomon Rondon - another blow for Alonso's side with striker Kylian Mbappe still missing through illness. But after soaking up a spell of pressure, Real broke the deadlock through Jude Bellingham in the 35th minute before Arda Guler doubled the lead. Federico Valverde volleyed in a third with 20 minutes left before the Mexicans grabbed a late consolation through Elias Montiel's deflected effort. It was Real's first win of the tournament and took them level on four points with Red Bull Salzburg, who played out a goalless draw with Al Hilal in Washington DC. Real play Salzburg in their final game of the first stage on Thursday night (2am Friday UK) but, with Al Hilal just two points behind, the group is wide open.

Antonio Rudiger accuses Club World Cup opponent of racism as Real Madrid star is left fuming and referee activates new protocol

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger accused Pachuca player Gustavo Cabral of racially abusing him during Sunday's Group H clash at the FIFA Club World Cup. A visibly fuming Rudiger reacted to something Cabral said to him during an exchange of words in stoppage time of Madrid's 3-1 win by raising a complaint to Brazilian referee Ramon Abatti Abel. Abatti did not issue a card to Cabral as he had seemingly not heard anything untoward himself. However, moments later the referee was seen crossing his arms to make FIFA's 'No Racism Gesture', suggesting that the incident will be investigated further. Madrid manager Xabi Alonso then said in his post-match press conference: 'Racist insult against Rudiger? That's what Rudiger said, and we believe him. 'Now FIFA is investigating. It's unacceptable.'
