Dave Portnoy makes rare public appearance with 26-year-old girlfriend Camryn D'Aloia at Celtics' playoff win

New York Post15-05-2025

Dave Portnoy and his girlfriend Camryn D'Aloia were locked in while sitting courtside during Game 5 of the Knicks-Celtics Eastern Conference semifinals series in Boston on Wednesday night.
The Barstool Sports founder, who is a diehard Celtics fan, and the 26-year-old Massachusetts native sported C's hats and sipped High Noons.
D'Aloia, who lives in Boston, is a community management associate for the hair growth company Nutrafol, according to her LinkedIn page.
Emotions were high at TD Garden in Boston, where the Celtics were fighting for their season while down 3-1 in the series.
Without their superstar leader Jayson Tatum — who underwent surgery for a ruptured right achilles tendon suffered in Game 4 — the Celtics beat the Knicks, 127-102, to force a Game 6 on Friday at Madison Square Garden.

Portnoy was excited after the triumph.
'Our best player is hurt, what a disaster,' Portnoy said in an X video. 'Then you see tonight, the team rallies.'
It's unclear if Portnoy and D'Aloia will be at Game 6 back at Madison Square Garden.
The couple had a viral moment during last year's NBA Playoffs when they were featured on the live broadcast while sitting courtside during Monday's Game 4 of the Celtics-Heat first-round playoff series.

Portnoy and D'Aloia — who sat behind the broadcast table where Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy called the game — were clearly camera shy as they avoided looking straight ahead.
During an episode of the 'BFFs' podcast at the time, Portnoy told hosts Josh Richards and Brianna LaPaglia that the two were friends and that it wasn't a 'boyfriend-girlfriend' situation.
Portnoy confirmed they were dating during an April appearance on the 'Drop A Pin' podcast.
It came six months after Portnoy split with influencer Silvana Mojica in late 2023 following three years of dating.
Portnoy was previously married to Renee Portnoy from 2009-17.

Denver Nuggets Nearly Made Kevin Durant Decision During Offseason

Denver Nuggets Nearly Made Kevin Durant Decision During Offseason originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Denver Nuggets are coming off a season in which they surprised many. First, it was the decision to fire head coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth just days before the end of the regular season. As a result, the Nuggets went into the playoffs with an interim head coach, David Adelman. Advertisement Some thought that the decision would prove to be a death sentence. Although still early, it proved to be the right move in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, as the team defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in seven games, who were one of the hottest teams in the NBA entering the playoffs. Downing-Imagn Images Denver Nuggets nearly made Kevin Durant decision In the second round, the Nuggets met up with the Oklahoma City Thunder. To that point, the Thunder had looked nearly invincible, making quick work of the Memphis Grizzlies in a sweep. Many believed that dominance would continue after the grueling Clippers series, but the Nuggets gave the Thunder a decent run for their money before falling short in Game 7. Advertisement The Nuggets lacked depth and top-tier talent outside of Nikola Jokic. Likely looking to make a trade in the offseason, the Nuggets were a surprise contender for the services of Kevin Durant, according to Shams Charania, before he was ultimately traded to the Houston Rockets. It's fun to imagine what such a trade package would've looked like from Denver's end. To make the salaries work, it would likely have had to involve Jamal Murray, or, more likely, Michael Porter Jr. in addition to young players like Peyton Watson, Julian Strawther or Christian Braun. Now, the Nuggets will look elsewhere to add depth to attempt to keep up in what will likely once again be a tough Western Conference. Contending next year should be Denver's top priority if they don't want to risk Jokic asking for a trade. If they can't build upon what they accomplished this season and at least get back to the Conference Finals, that's very well what could happen. Her look of disappointment said it all. Advertisement The Liberty let another winnable game slip through their fingertips as they fell 89-79. The Liberty were without three starters, including Sabrina Ionescu who woke up with a kink in her neck Sunday morning. But they managed to hang around the Storm all game, but never mustered up a big enough run to take the game over. Breanna Stewart dribbles during the Liberty-Storm game on June 22, 2025. She's the team's motor. One of the main players who can get a bucket when the team needs it. Advertisement There were times when the Liberty's offense got clunky and out of sync. Overall, though, New York finished with a balanced scoring effort, with every player on the floor recording at least two points. Game 7 memories from stars and celebs: Kobe Bryant stands out

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night had a number of sports celebrities — from outside the basketball world, even — thinking of one player. Kobe Bryant. Bryant played in only one Game 7 of a finals, that coming in 2010, but for plenty in the sports world his 23-point, 15-rebound effort that led the Los Angeles Lakers to an 83-79 win over the Boston Celtics for his fifth and final championship still stands out as the quintessential moment from ultimate games. The NBA asked celebrities and star athletes what Game 7 makes them think of, and some of the responses got right to the point. 'Kobe,' soccer legend David Beckham said. 'What do I think?? I think Lakers 2010 — Pau (Gasol) and Kobe,' tennis star Carlos Alcaraz said. Another tennis great, Novak Djokovic, said he thought of Lakers-Celtics in 2010 and the Cleveland-Golden State finale where LeBron James and Kyrie Irving came up big late for the Cavaliers in 2016. 'I'm thinking about electric atmosphere on the stands, no one is seated for the whole game,' Djokovic said. 'I'm thinking about Kobe and Gasol stellar performance in Game 7 of 2010 Lakers-Celtics and I'm thinking about LeBron's block and Irving's 3 pointer to seal the deal for Cavs vs Warriors Game 7 in 2016 thriller.' Cavs-Warriors 2016 another memory Part of the lore of the Cleveland-Golden State finale in 2016 wasn't just James getting a chase-down block against the Warriors' Andre Iguodala in the final moments. It was also ABC announcer Mike Breen's description of the call. Tennis player Ben Shelton and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua both remembered Breen's line perfectly: 'Blocked by James,' they both responded. Other quotes A selection of other responses collected by the NBA: 'Where legends are born.' — tennis' Frances Tiafoe. 'This is basketball, the game that everybody wants to watch. Can't wait !!!!!!!' — soccer star Kylian Mbappé. ''All eyes.' It's my stage.' — Colorado football coach and former NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders. 'GOAT TIME.' — NFL legend Jerry Rice. 'When I hear the words Game 7, I automatically think of the epic and legendary 3-pointer that Ray Allen made in Game 6 to force Game 7, where my Miami Heat team went on to win the NBA Finals championship.' — rapper Flo Rida. 'It's About to Go Down!!! Who will become legend? MJ, Kobe, Bron ... who's next?' — Cedric the Entertainer. 'Control what you can control mentality! I just wanted to make sure I did all the little things for my team.' — Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade. 'Everything you ever worked on and worked for is all in this one moment. Take it play by play ... leave it all on the court.' — former Heat guard Mario Chalmers. 'Play into the emotion. Don't expect fair. Expect the unimaginable.' — Cleveland's Iman Shumpert, part of the 2016 Cavs win. ___ AP NBA:
